I bought this a few months ago, and for the money I think it's a lovely watch. It seems robust, the dial hands are very elegantly shaped, and it feels very comfortable on my wrist.

Picture does no justice, it looks much better in life. Works great in the office midweek and on weekend outdoor trip.
First let me say that I love Seiko as a brand and their watches. However, this particular purchase was the most disappointing experience with Seiko that I have ever had. Overall I love the timepiece, but it arrived with one MAJOR flaw that should have never made it past Seiko's internal quality assurance team.1) In the attached picture you can see the wear and tear of a "rub ring" across the entire back part of the case. It's as if someone has been wearing it for several years, but I just took it out of the box "NEW" yesterday.2) In the attached pictures you can see that the "E" and the "I" on the internal mechanical mechanism has been partially rubbed off.It's such a disappointment to get my new Seiko with these two major flaws.
I bought this online a few days ago. It's old school looks did not appeal right away and I left it in the box. But after I unpacked it and saw the high finish and perfect face size; the window on the back cover exposing the automatic movement; felt the quality of materials and workmanship by wearing the watch; I was convinced that this Seiko is a great watch for me

This is the 3rd Seiko Prospex I have bought from Linda & Co - this model Alpinist SPB 241J keeps near perfect time - Rolex consistent!It is also a beautiful watch to wear & to look at - for $915 from Linda's it was a great buy & I thank them for that.Their service & AP also made it stress free - the whole experience from Linda's & Seiko is a worthwhile pleasure.And, I'd go back again,
My wife I bought this beautiful watch for our Son's 25th birthday. We wanted to give him something that could last a lifetime. It is far more beautiful in person than in pictures.My son proudly showed it to my wife's uncle John and amazingly John proudly showed Frankie the Seiko that he was given when he turned 25 by his lovely wife Clarinda! John is now seventy five! I kid you not! It was a very cool moment. A gorgeous watch!
I need to correct the record here. The first review complains about a wear mark and scuffed type. That is most certainly the plastic protective sticker that Seiko puts on the watch. The picture is identical to what I had before I peeled all the protective tape off.An other review had a question about pins falling out of the band. If you change the size of the band yourself, there is a tiny 1mm by 0.1mm compression sleeve that holds the pin in, and it will fall out when you remove a link from the band. Do all the work on a blanket, or go to a shop.The watch is great, well built, and I am as happy as can be.
