It offers a very basic equalizer, like a rental car, low, mid, high, and that’s it. Sennheiser, if you’re reading this, take a look at the aforementioned Jaybirds. Complete control and whatever frequencies you select and a community that creates sound images that are easy to download. For some people, I suspect this would make all the difference. The final so-so part is the case. It’s relatively large and covered in fabric. This makes it harder to carry and clean. And that leads to the sound. Clarity and range are excellent, and you can hear every detail. But, this also means that you’re likely to hear things you never noticed, like sibilance (that metallic “sss” on vocals), and this may drive you nuts. They also have very bright highs, which can become physically tiring in a long sitting. While the bass is good, the silicone tips do not provide a solid enough seal to really capture the individual notes of a low bass or piano. This is fixed (and the comfort improved) with a set of Comply foam tips.If you’re looking for that v-shaped sound that pop music is so fond of engineering toward, you’ll be immensely disappointed with these. But, if you want clean, glorious sound, above all else, you’ll be very happy with these.

It gives me the impression that the buds are meant to be used/displayed in an office, which is pretty close to how I use them. Just as well too, as the cloth looks like it could catch dirt very easily. My only real complaint is the accompanying app. It seems like you need to open the app first and *then* take the earbuds out of the case, otherwise they won't connect. It's not a dealbreaker but it can get annoying when you just want to listen to something quickly. I would take off half a star if the rating system let me. I'm not one to mess with the equalizer settings too much with any headphones so I can't judge that, but adjusting other things like touch controls has been simple enough.Overall superb earbuds, sound and build quality is solid, and I've enjoyed my time with them so far.

I've tried several true wireless and they either didn't fit, didn't sound great, or both. That's not the case with these. They sit nicely in the ears and don't come loose when I move my head. They're great for working out, and the addition of separate wings PLUS different sized ear tips helps to make a good combination ensuring a tight seal. I used the medium tips and the large fins and don't have an issue with fit or seal. They're comfortable enough for short listening sessions, but caused a little discomfort 3 hours in. I wouldn't wear these on a cross country flight, but for stints of work, or a nice commute, these will work great!Sound wise, they sound fantastic. With the Bass Boost mode on, music comes to life across various genres. As far as EQ, I have mine set as Bass: 2, Miss: 3, Treble: 2. I found this to be a great all around combination as the normal sound is a little low on the mids. My only complaint about the sound, is that it's a little warm. It doesn't have those super crisp highs, even when setting the treble on the EQ. The Treble EQ slider is akin to sliding the last 3 EQ sliders on a 10 band EQ at the same time. It sounds harsh the further you slide up, rather than crispy.Call wise, I don't make a lot of calls, but the microphones sound decent enough and I haven't had an issue with callers not hearing me. There's no transparency during calls so you may end up speaking a little louder if you don't take an earbud off for that call. For the best Zoom quality, set it for "Original Audio", it'll bypass your computer's processing and bring in more fullness to the mics.Sound canceling wise, it's excellent. Not much to be said. It works great! Transparency mode sounds like you're live listening to a camera recording above your head. But the audio is clear. Definitely usable.Overall, I'd give these a 4/5.

Great Quality Earbuds Which Are Lacking Features

THE GOOD DETAILS OF THESE SENNHEISER BLUETOOTH EARBUDSThese Sennheiser Momentum true wireless 2 Bluetooth earbuds are built really well and they have some of the best sounding audio of any Bluetooth true wireless earbuds. The Sennheiser Android app is really useful and has an equalizer to adjust the Bass, Mids, and Treble of these earbuds. The functionality of these Sennheiser Bluetooth earbuds only allows switching from the noise cancellation mode, directly into the mode which amplifies the room sound using the earbuds built in microphones, and this results in a contrast which appears to be cancelling noise more than it actually is. I tried having these Sennheiser earbuds in the noise cancellation mode with a hair dryer creating a loud background sound, then I powered the Sennheiser earbuds off with them still in my ears, and the result was not much of a noticeable difference in how loud the hair dryer sounded, this leads me to believe that most of the noise reduction is being accomplished by nothing more than the good fit of the earbuds in the ears, which blocks the sound from reaching the ears.MY OVERALL OPINION OF THESE SENNHEISER MOMENTUM TRUE WIRELESS 2 BLUETOOTH EARBUDSThese Sennheiser Momentum true wireless 2 Bluetooth earbuds do have great quality sound, and this is most of what matters when considering the quality of Bluetooth earbuds, but for the price range, there is too many lacking features. I am figuring in the lack of value into my rating of these Sennheiser earbuds, if I was only considering build quality and sound quality, I would have rated them higher.I am scoring these Sennheiser Momentum true wireless 2 Bluetooth earbuds at 3 out of 5 stars.

Such great earbuds with beautiful design and great sound quality. Most reason I like this earbuds is because no other products like momentum true wireless 2 have metal plate with razor logo on the outside. It's very minimal but also feels elegant. The sound quality is great. The overall sound is balanced but leans to dark. I wanna compare it with Bose Quietcomfort earbuds. The bass on Sennheiser one is deep and meaty. The mids is natural, the highs is good but not as bright as Bose QC earbuds. Bose QC buds enhances sub-bass and highs. In addition Bose has more noticeable sub-bass, it sounds very pleasing but also muddier. Sennheiser's sub-bass is good too and it sounds very clean but not as noticeable as Bose's which doesn't mean Sennheiser has less good bass notes. I think the reason behind it is both earphone engineers tone the sound differently. In my opinion Sennheiser tried to make the sound more balanced and accurate but still to please most consumers. Overall Bose has a modified sound signature which is very pleasing to me and Sennheiser has a more accurate sound signature. If let me make a choice to pick one of them I would pick up Bose because Bose has way better app experience than Sennheiser. Noise cancellation is superb on Bose plus it has wireless charging. Sennheiser has Ok noise cancellation which doesn't have much difference from when that feature is turned off. I wish Sennheiser has aluminum charging case than its fabric because the fabric is easily to get dirty and I don't understand why Sennheiser omits the wireless charging feature which most high-end earbuds have.

Most unreliable product I've ever owned

I would absolutely avoid these if possible. I usually try to buy from brands known for being reliable, and over the years haven't had to replace/fix many, if any electronics, under warranty. The Momentum True Wireless 3's, on the other hand, are the most unreliable things I have ever owned - and this is coming from someone who used to be a big Sennheiser fan (which was why I picked up the MTW3 and was excited to use them!)The first pair I bought stopped working less than 24 hours after getting them. I sent them in for a warranty replacement, and the new pair they sent me worked fine! I thought maybe I just got unlucky and got a bad pair initially. However, after a few months, the next pair also stopped working - so yet again I had to send them back in. After about three weeks they were sent back (supposedly repaired?), but immediately upon trying them the touch controls on the right earbud aren't working!I'm kinda fed up with them at this point, especially since they make you pay for the shipping one way (shipping in Canada is expensive!). I don't want to keep paying to ship them back, only to have them fail again, so have moved on to a different (non-Sennheiser) pair of buds.

Not worth the price
10 October 2022

Bought them for my husband for Christmas. It constantly disconnect while he uses it, does not fit in his ears well. I got them when he gave in a bought the Sony wireless headphones. And now I understand his pain. As a former airpod user, the connection to iphone is not intuitive, takes a while to connect, and you have to use the right earbud to get the phone (cannot use the left one). The app doesn't always work either. Additionally, 10 months after having them, the case does not even hold the battery lift anymore. I fully charged the case on a satruday, did not use them over the weekend. And when I try to use it on Monday, it earbuds prompt me to charge the case again. Very disappointed. Maybe it has good sound quality (not that i could tell), but not worth the hassle.

Painful, both in Price and Feel

Do not buy these headphones.I would give them four stars for sound quality, but I can't in good conscience give them more than 1 star for comfort. A pair of earbuds should be heard, not felt [as if they are creating a rift straight to Hell through your ear canal].Hi! I used to love Sennheiser. I buy their pro microphones, I've owned their over-ear studio headphones. I wanted to get a pair of noise cancelling earbuds that came with the Sennheiser sound quality, and they certainly delivered. They provide noise cancelling, and the sound quality is magnificent given how small they are.But what I can't stand is wearing them. I do not have small ears, I do not have delicate sensibilities, but I cannot wear these earbuds for more than 30 minutes without them ... MoreDo not buy these headphones.I would give them four stars for sound quality, but I can't in good conscience give them more than 1 star for comfort. I do not have small ears, I do not have delicate sensibilities, but I cannot wear these earbuds for more than 30 minutes without them beginning to ache. After 45 minutes, they begin to hurt - both because of the plastic pressing against my upper ear and the silicone pressing against my inner ear. After an hour, the pain becomes excruciating. The 7 hour battery life is irrelevant, becauseI can't wear them for more than two hours without being reminded that I wore them for at least a day afterward. The earbuds come with multiple sizes, but in order for the noise cancelling mechanism to work, you need to wear a size that plugs your ear - a smaller bud causes less pain (though the pain never fully goes away), but eliminates the noise cancelling, which is the only reason you should spend so much on a pair of earbuds. What I knew I wanted in earbuds was good sound quality and noise cancelling - what I didn't know I needed was to be unaware that the earbuds are in my ears. These earbuds ensure that, even if they are more comfortable in your ears than they are in mine, that you will know they are there and you will need to adjust or ignore them every few minutes. The return window with Best Buy is an insane 14 days - within that 14 days, I made an attempt to get used to the buds. I thought if I wore them once a day for an hour or so, my ears would adjust. That maybe I just wasn't putting them in correctly. But after moving and adjusting and changing and sitting with them there, for up to 4 hours at a time, I can verify that they will never be comfortable, and that Best Buy makes that return window incredibly small on purpose.Sennheiser's return window is 90 days - Amazon's is around 30 days. When I tried to make a return with Best Buy around 16 days, I was laughed out of the store. I'm not saying don't ever buy an electronic from Best Buy again, but I am saying that when you make a purchase on incredibly expensive device you intend to use for awhile, be wary of companies who do everything they can to pawn off their garbage on their customers with as little room for adjustment as possible.I also contacted Sennheiser three times, through different channels, and received no response. I would advise never buying headphones from Sennheiser again - I do feel like I've been the guinea pig for a yet unfinished product, and it hurts quite a bit. Good luck.

Very disappointed in Sennheiser’s lack of quality

Second worst wireless bud I’ve used, and I’m an audiophile. Can’t use the left bud independently. Never would have bought if I knew this. I’d expect independent operation for buds at this price point, but no. Very disappointed. Not the most robust, full sound. Used daily for a month and already having to contact Sennheiser to send in for repair, the right bud cuts out constantly. The silicon tips are terrible, none of the provided ones fit properly enough to actually do any proper noise cancelling. I wish I could just get my Sony 1000MX4s back. Those were a great earbud and worked awesome for 2 years.
