It won't win any beauty contests in its plain, unpainted carbon garb, but if you're tackling fish on the sub 10lb bracket like bass, pollack, codling and mackerel, you won't regret your choice or feel you haven't had value for the small amount of cash you've splashed. I have fancy reels too but it saddens me to scrape them on rocks, so often the FX will be handed the "stuntman" role and will invariably fill in admirably!
