Downgrade of the former watch
12 December 2022

After using this watch for 2 weeks I'm actually really disappointed! This is definitely not a smartwatch, but instead it is a more exclusive fitbit tracker. For some stranger reasons fitbit decided to throw away a lot of good features from the previous sense like music, calender and some much more because this watch doest support any third part apps.. at all! They used to advertise thos watch as a smartwatch with "hundreds of apps" but when a lot of customer's critized them for it they changed the wording on the website because, NO it doesn't not have a hundred of apps, not even close. As a customer you may think that this watch would be an upgrade from the fitbit sense considering it's called fitbit sense 2 but NOPE it definitely isn't. It's more like a downgrade then n upgrade, instead of having all the needed apps that you had on the fitbit sense they decided to take away a lot of stuff and just adding the eda scan that I (and I'm being really honest!) only used ONCE. So save your money and don't get this watch because you'll have more features in the fitbit sense then the sense 2. Oh and the Google voice assistent... it's gone and replaced with Alex which is only supported in English. It shouldn't even be called a "2" because it definitely isn't a upgrade of the former watch, its more like a downgrade!

Really impressed
29 April 2023

I purchased the Fitbit Sense 2 for its health monitoring abilities and I must say I've been very impressed. The watch is unobtrusive and easy to wear with a slim profile. The 6 day battery life is a bonus having previously had a first gen Apple Watch that had to be charged everyday so you couldn't get a full 24hrs of health and sleep tracking.Yes it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some more expensive smart watches, but it doesn't what it is designed to do well. The supporting Fitbit app is great, with a wealth of information at your fingertips. You get 6 months of the premium app with the watch, so I'll have to wait and see if I continue with it then.Overall a great health watch that is easy to use, comfortable to wear and a reasonable price.

Sense 2 no longer makes Sense, features removed

I thought going from the Fitbit Sense to the Sense 2 would be an improvement, but it's actually a step backwards. Fitbit pay does no longer works but has been replaced by google pay, but it won't work on my sense 2 due bank security issues. Fitbit pay worked fine on my sense, so this is very annoying. Music well I can no longer have music on my Fitbit, which is really disappointing as i could save music on my sense and leave my phone at home, now if i want to listen to music i need to bring my phone. The other feature on music that has been removed is controlling music, the sense you could control music settings, even without downloading music to the sense, you cannot even do this now. I upgraded to sense 2 from a versa 3 and I have to say I love it. I loved it so much that I upgraded my husband's and bought him one too. It does everything I personally need from a fitness tracker. Battery life lasts 6 days most of the time but can be less if using your GPS. The ECG function is good and GPS worked well when I tested it on a 9-mile walk. I love the colours and the face is durable. The steps are accurate, as are the floor counting. I can take calls on my watch (once I linked it to sense 2 calls on Bluetooth) which is great as you never miss a call if you've left your phone in another room etc. I personally love the Fitbit app, and the way the calorie tracking and targets work. aged 71 and conscious that my blood pressure is semi controlled by medication I decided this could be really useful. and indeed it is. I typically wear it from waking up till mid afternoon . In this time I walk and cycle so it records my heart rate and gives me insight into fat burn and cardio. An invaluable tool but it also allows me to be aware of messages and calls without having to open my secure pocket to use my phone. Having the 6 months free trial of the full app for 6 months shows everything it can give me access to, as well as telling the time. I am glad I made the purchase, and well worth the money. A two year guarantee gives me peace of mind. buying from John Lewis offered the best overall package.
