The instructions include instructions for about 12 different backboard attachments...and you will end up with more spare parts than is feasibly possible. The instruction manual should read: Step 1 - are you attaching to a wall, a pole, a portable pole/backboard or a roof? Step 2 - your answer to Step 1 is critical if you want to avoid hours and hours of grief - go back to Step 1! I did it the hard way. Not only are there a thousand pieces leftover but there were two sets of instructions! Go back to Step 1. Awesome backboard though. Just go back to Step 1 before doing anything!!!!!

A bit of work to understand which page of the instructions to use and assemble plus making up the attachment point on the Garage but totaly worth it once up. Looks good and is great quality. Kids love it and are out every night playing, even the adults get involved!

Backboard itself and the ring seem to be decent quality. The bracket/mounting system is appalling, very weak and flimsy. Bolts broke when trying to straighten board. Replaced bolts then bent bracket on next attempt. Paid good money to get complete setup with bracket mounting system, now have to invest more time and money to secure it properly as I am worried it will fall down on my kids

great hoop system. I have mounted it on a wall for the kids to play. They have hours of fun. The backboard rebound is passable, not as good as the real thing, but still true. The ring doesnt vibrate to much, so overall a great purchase, especially during these COVID times
Very happy with my purchase. The white looks fresh and clean. It’s a very sturdy unit and requires some thinking to properly mount. I would suggest two people. We bought the spalding ratchett roof mount system to accompany this. Good quality and awesome customer service when I had plenty of questions about mounting it safely.

There is one single page to explain how to affix the ring if mounting tit to a wall. The schematics are so small and crossing over each other that you can't comprehend them.Contacted Spalding support and was transferred to a third party installation company. Even they stated that the instructions are garbage.As well the instructions do not stipulate at what height to install the bracket. They do state what height the ring is be no details are provided about what height to install the bracket at to ensure the correct height is obtained.Overall the lack of support or logical instruction provided by Spalding is appalling. It would be easier to build a 2000 piece Lego set by looking at the front of the box than it is to install the hoop using the provided instructions.
I bought this to mount on the wall, hoping to screen a bracket to the wall and attach the backboard. But no, you basically get a mechano set with the worst instructions ever and it’s actually impossible to assemble - I gave up in the end, and I have a DIY / Engineering background. The staff at Rebel Sport are super nice and helpful. But Spalding should be ashamed of themselves.
The backboard itself is very good quality, but because the bracket can be fixed to multiple types of locations the installation instructions are not great. This is a heavy object- It should be made very clear that the fixation needs to be very secure and guidance given about size of bolts etc. It also needs to be held in place 10 feet off the ground whilst it is bolted so really needs three people for that. Don’t try and do this in a hurry. That said end result is great. And 5stars to sales staff for help with selecting which one to buy.
Overall pretty happy with product, looks great, fitted to fabricated post, didn't use provided mounting kit. Self-tapping screws fitting the plastic protectors along bottom of backboard fraction too long, protruded through square tube frame, just on piercing the powdercoat of the inside frame square tube.
The mount system had different bolts and did not fit the basketball backboard. The plastic pieces had different holes to the board too so they could not be installed onto the board too.
