Absolutely worth $12.

I'm glad I ignored a lot of the negative reviews and grabbed this case. This is an excellent case for the price. It went on easily, holds my phone snugly, keeps the camera lenses and screen off of any surfaces, doesn't wobble when I lay it flat, and it's clear and shows off my new blue phone. Some texture on the sides for a better grip would have been nice, but this case is still not hard to hold onto. For reference, I'd say this case is easier to hold than the phone by itself. This case is also comfortable enough that I never think about the fact that I'm holding onto a case. I just get to enjoy using my phone without worrying about dropping it. Are the buttons flat, yes. Are they impossible to find with your finger, no. Each button has little grooves on either side that you can easily find with your finger until you develop muscle memory. It took me all of 20 minutes to get into the habit of finding the buttons without looking. As far as the text on the buttons and the side of the case, it's not some glaring affront to the eyes. I wouldn't have thought twice about the text other than having seen some people complain about it on here. If that sort of thing bothers you, you should probably spend more than $12 on your phone case.Originally, I was buying this as a cheap temp case until the $90 Mous case I wanted was back in stock, but after seeing what a good job this $12 case does, I might save ~$80 instead and just go with this Spiegen unless/until it fails. If you need a case for your new phone, do yourself a favor and just spend the $12 to buy this one. It will be money well spent.

Almost perfect

I've used Spigen clear cases on my phones for at least 4 years, and they've protected my precious iPhones from more drops than I care to admit. (I drop my phone probably twice a week!). The Spigen Ultra Hybrid is the more protective one, the Spigen Liquid Crystal is slightly less protective but also slightly slimmer.I got my 12 Pro Max on launch day, and Spigen's case was coming out a week later, so I bought another brand. For me, it's easy to find the volume buttons because they're immediately below the mute switch, and you can easily feel the small cutout in the case through which you access the mute switch.The other thing about the buttons is, when I press either of the volume buttons, it makes my screen protector get a small bubble on the edge next to the button. Thankfully, the bubble goes away as soon as I release the button. This might be happening because I didn't perfectly center the screen protector when I applied it. And I don't think it's damaging the screen protector at all. But it's a little annoying. I never experienced this on previous versions of the Ultra Hybrid for other iPhones, and I've had the exact same screen protector on all of them.So, for me, a slight annoyance but not enough to prevent me from enthusiastically recommending this case.

Decent case for the price

I have used Spigen cases since 2015 with my iPhone 6, so I have come to expect a certain mix of quality and price from the company, and this particular product doesn’t disappoint.Pros:- Relatively low price for acceptable quality. I don’t have to pay $50 or even $20 for a case that protects the phone better than Apple’s own products.- Close fit. I have never had a loose or sloppy fit with any Spigen case, this one is no exception.- Decent bumper thickness, about 3/32” or almost 2.5mm at the thickest point.- Lip above the screen and camera lenses. Enough to keep the glasses from touching the table surface, not enough to be obnoxious.- Thin and light. It’s visually pleasing but functionally deficient. Finding the power / Siri button by feel is not too hard, but figuring out the volume up and down buttons without looking is not that easy. They should give the buttons a different texture rather than just marking them with +, - and PWR.

Does NOT fit for iPhone 12 Pro! (Possibly Defective)

To begin with, I like Spigen. It's a reputable brand, and I've always heard nothing but good things about their cases and screen protectors. I am even using a Spigen glass protector right now. However, I was so disappointed with this Spigen Case.When I tried to put on the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Case on my new iPhone 12 Pro today - it just wouldn't fit. The case is not flexible nor is it large enough. I've tried to put the case on from the bottom, top, and sides. No matter what I tried, it is impossible to get it completely on. Great Case, Great Value, Fits Like a Glove

Spigen cases have been my go-to for a while now, this option did not disappoint. While my goal was to find the thinnest, skin like transparent case possible, I realized because of the materials required to make an optically clear case. Manufactures are limited on how thin they can go. The feel of this case is good, its not rock hard plastic and it's not super soft, it's right in the middle. Hard but has some give. It's a very snug, tight fit on the phone. So much so that it didn't really "seat" until some heat was introduced (during charging/in my pocket). Other features, it has feet on all corners opposite the cameras that allow it to sit flat on its back. The only problem here is Qi chargers. The side buttons for volume and lock are flush with the bezel, they do not protrude like other cases. Takes just a little more force to push the buttons at first. Has a raise bezel to protect the screen. It is not dust proof, like most cases dust, lint and whatever else finds it's way into your pockets will find a way behind your case. I am very happy with it, it looks great, and gives me confidence that my photo will survive my daily drop tests. Yeah I am that clumsy. Cheers!

Living my bi girl dreams

So first of, I've seen a few reviews saying the case doesn't fit properly and I haven't had any issue with that. I won't lie I did check to see what phone I had in the settings first lol. Second, it doesn't protect my phone with a screen cover. I dropped it straight on pavement a week into having it and the protector has a nice line going across it now. Feel like my phone would just be better off without a protector but I don't want to do that. Third, I switched to Spigen from Casetify and I am much happier with the quality of the case. I paid $80 for a casetify case and the paint started chipping off it immediately, I haven't had that problem yet. I love the green edges on it. I think it looks clean and I can't see dust on the buttons. What can I say about Spigen? They've been using their same old design thats true to them and simply consistent throughout the years.I remember back with the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5, they had this exact same design. This is not the Spigen case for your 12 Pro Max

This is the 1st case I ordered for my 12 Pro Max. When I pre-ordered the phone, naturally, I got on Amazon and got a case and screen protector so I'd have those waiting the minute I got the phone. Well, I ordered the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Clear case, which I would say is more rigid than the Spigen Liquid Crystal case (the 2nd case I just received to replace this one), however the feel isn't terribly different. The Liquid Crystal case is a little bit more flexible and just a little bit more "tacky" feeling. The huge difference between this case and the Liquid Crystal case, is that the Ultra Hybrid's buttons are flush. Every morning, fumbling the phone around just praying that a stray finger press will hit something, anything, just give me 9 more minutes! This is a huge design flaw. So I ordered the Liquid Crystal case and just got it in the mail. I haven't got to hit snooze yet, but I know I'll be able to find the buttons with them being raised. I would steer you away from this case, just because the flush buttons and direct you to Spigen's Liquid Crystal case or similar, with raised buttons. I love Spigen cases due to quality and value. Very little cost for a quality product. While I would not recommend this case in particular, I would still recommend Spigen products overall. I know at least the last 4 Iphone's I've had over the years survived and made it to trade-in thanks especially to living their life protected by a Spigen case.

Previous Ultra Hybrids had the TPU material molded around the buttons allowing for a very responsive and tactile click that emulates the feeling you are clicking on the button itself. The button coverings on the iPhone 12 Ultra Hybrid instead goes over the buttons and creates a very flat and flushed look with the rest of the phone. They also added these unappealing button indicators on top of the buttons (+,-, and PWR) like their customers don’t know what their buttons already do and need to look at the side for guidance. Taking a screenshot just feels uncomfortable trying to push both sides of the phone while changing the volume with using my right hand had often resulted in accidentally hitting the power button instead of the side of the phone for support.Another flaw with this case compared to my previous experience is it is missing a leg on the corner where the camera bump is that’s allows for flat table usage. The iPhone 12 Ultra Hybrid comes with three legs out of the box as an attempt to raise the phone to protect the camera but fails to slightly raise the camera side leaving the phone rocking when you use it flat on the table.I have had good experiences with Spigen Ultra Hybrids in the past but this case is a step on the wrong direction. Even their iPhone 12 Quartz Hybrid (similar case but with a tempered glass back) has preserved the original tactile button cutouts. I am hoping for a refreshed version 2 reverting some of the major changes they’ve introduced into this years design.
