Stanley Rogers Carbon Steel Wok (35cm, Black)

Works great, it's lightweight and sturdy at the same time. Just make sure to remove the thin plastic-like coating on the wok before using as it will bond with the wok and have an uneven color when you season it.

Great quality but a fail for my ceramic cooktop. Gifted to a "gas" cook top family. They love it!

I bought this wok at the same time I was replacing all my frying pans, which included a Tefal non-stick and a stainless steel chef's pan. I was expecting the chef's pan to be my main pan for frying, but from the first time I used this wok I knew I had to use it for everything. The carbon steel is super responsive to changes in gas settings. It heats up quickly, and will react quickly when you need to drop from high heat to a low heat. It's really easy to clean, and is basically non-stick if you're vigilant with seasoning after each cook. I tell everyone I know to buy one, because it's that good.

Plastic inner layer peeling off after first use. Did not notice until rinsing after use. The rest has probably been ingested with the food. Will not use again. Absolutely disappointed. Never expected this from a brand as well known as SR.

I found it really hard to get the coating off like it says in the instructions. It's already permanently stained off first use too. No wok expert though.

Stanley Rogers 35cm Carbon Steel Wok: poor quality. Seasoned it before use, as you should when you buy a wok. And still rusted after a couple of wash. Handle is a bit wobly. Feels cheap and flimsy.

Very poorly gauged product, total disappointment, it got rusted on the first wash, handle quality is poor makes a noise, not a worth, for the price paid. don't buy it.

I could not get the protective coating off successfully. I was sent a replacement wok but I had the same trouble. Both woks now at Vinnies, with the instructions.

Dissatisfied

We are dissatisfied with the item, the price is too expensive, not worth the quality.We have followed the instructions to seasoning, cleaning and caring for the wok , hoping it would stay long as mentioned guarantee for 5 years?? but it has black stains after just a few times used.
