4 stage phaser with a triangle wave...that was nearly enough for me to buy this thing. Along with the Destroyer...I was just about to pull the trigger until I compared it with a few other comparable pedals. First, how much modulation do you really need? There are two camps (IMHO), there are the guys who have staple mod/pitch effects and apply them where appropriate and then there are the guys who build songs around wacky sounds. This is a perfect pedal for the latter. For the practical guitarist who wants just a little chorus to liven up his clean tone or a little phaser to take a riff into the other world, this pedal is too much. But if you're a working musician who is paying your electric bill with your guitar chops, stick to a couple of road worthy pedals.Don't get me wrong, this thing sounds incredible. But it is a lot of pedal. It would be like buying a Mercedes S-Class when you live, work and drink in the same town.Oh, and it has NO pitch shifting or octave capability. Really?! Chorus, by its very nature, is pitch shifting with oscillation. Huh?

This product is awesome. It gets your creativity running high!First of all in terms of sound, it is a studio grade machine. You are able to use it without having to process the outcome in any way.Regarding Workmanship, this is a Strymon product so all you can expect is excellent quality. If you are a studio guy you do not have to worry with the robustness of the Mobius. If you want to use it on the road you have to be somewhat careful as the buttons can, if abused, give out, but generally speaking it is one sturdy machine.Performance wise it is as expected from any and every Strymon product, the pedal is easy to configure and interact with by standard and if you like tweaking even more you are able to control whatever you need using a midi pedalboard. The ... MoreThis product is awesome. It has a never ending set of knob twisting and presets that will fit your every need!

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a cool pedal, great functionality ease of use, stereo, midi, you name it.The engines are great as well, the chorus for example is lush and wide especially in stereo. The phaser as well is ultra cool and opens up so many options for ideas and covers. Ease of use for presets is brilliant as always and matches up so well with my BigSky.Only thing is... do I need a £380 modulation pedal? There’s so much functionality that I don’t use, and I could have bought 2 or 3 excellent analogue modulation pedals for a similar price and used more of the functionality.I’m yet to really tear apart the presets and the rhythmic opportunity for things like the pattern trem, but in all honesty these novelties will soon wear off and I may as well have stuck to ... MoreDon’t get me wrong, it’s a cool pedal, great functionality ease of use, stereo, midi, you name it.The engines are great as well, the chorus for example is lush and wide especially in stereo. The BigSky absolutely changed my world of playing and I love it, the Mobius, it looks nice on the board and it’s nice to have options for a bit crusher but I’ll likely stay well within the well trodden path of Chorus, Phaser and Trem.

Great pedal if many effects are needed in a small place. This thing is packed in a light, not that large enclosure. The menu system was easier than I anticipated and the effects were lush, especially in my stereo rig(though I tried in mono as well). Having said that, if you have your favorite modulation pedals, this will probably sound “better” and special to you, so I would see the Mobius as a great touring or regular gig type device at its best use. Add in midi and you have many sounds at your disposal and I have to add the “crazy” sounds capable from this pedal are far more worth the purchase than the “standard” classic effects, enjoy!
It's a really great sounding pedal, and very easy to learn how to use. If you are like me and like all modulation effects but don't have the space for one of each mod type on your board, this is the one. I have it in pre / post mode on my board running through two different loops on my switcher. MIDI patch set up was also easy to learn. Can't imagine a better multi mod pedal.
All I can say is WOW. Strymon has done an excellent job of packing this pedal full of varied and useful modulation effects. The gray Flanger model, the (uni) vibe, The Rotary effects, and the Destroyer effects are my favorites. The effects are lush and clear and pair well for the most part with mild to moderate overdrive. Want a warped record or AM radio sound to your guitar? It's here! Want a Jimi Hendrix style Univibe? An Andy Summers style chorus? A violin-like swell? Vocal vowel sounds? This pedal can replace multiple modulation pedals on your board if you need to free up some space. The presets are great, or you can save your own. Expensive but worth it.
This fits perfectly with my move towards a stereo rig. For a complicated pedal, it’s really easy to get to grips with. My only issue is it’s awkward pressing two buttons at once to change bank. Going to put some barefoot buttons on to remedy this
I see no reason to list the technical characteristics of this device, as there is a huge amount of information about it. I can only say one thing: this is the most significant cluster of modulation effects in many ways, but most importantly, it is a great device in terms of its musicality and usability. If you want to get the most musical effects of modulation for many years, then do not even think about it. You will not regret a single cent invested in this device. It should be noted that the price of the secondary market, which is not significantly different from its retail price, speaks very eloquently about its relevance, although this effect has been produced for seven years.
The Strymon Mobius pedal just blows me away. I’ve been playing through one for several months now, and I am still learning about all the myriad, dreamy tones I can coax out it. It’s not just that you have this awesome array of sounds you can produce with the pedal, but each sound can be dialed in to perfection. The MIDI interface is a great bonus that I am just starting to get to know. I ended up buying a MIDI controller so I could take advantage of the flexibility of the Mobius (and my Timeline) through preset configurations. I do have a couple of nits with it, but they are not serious enough to take away from its five star rating. The program display on the pedal is just not bright enough to see if you play outdoors. You probably don’t want to be monkeying around ... MoreThe Strymon Mobius pedal just blows me away. You probably don’t want to be monkeying around with those settings during a performance, however, so that doesn’t really effect me. Second, the pedal takes up a lot of real estate on a pedal board. Given how much the pedal does, however, this is understandable and part of the price of admission. Overall, this is a versatile and beautiful sounding pedal. In my opinion, it is the Cadillac of modulation pedals.
