The service was fantastic AAA+++ best I have had for a while!! This is my second kettle i have brought my first one is still going strong but I wanted to upgrade our toaster so hence the new jug!!This is the quietest jug I have owned so quick at boiling and is stunning in appearance. One thing I would say on this jug is to do the descaling regularly and be careful not to bump or knock the outside of the jug as my first one which is white has not worn well on the outside .but other than that its great!! I spent some time reading reviews on so many jugs from the Smeg to Kitchen aid which were so disappointing and I am so happy with my purchase and would defintely buy through folders again AAAAAAA++++++++

I bought this kettle as I liked the black and bronze colours. However after just a few months it started to peel off and scratch easily and look a bit dull. The spout is too wide and it's hard to pour slowly. My father dropped this kettle on our wooden floor and the handle came off and the lid smashed and it is no longer usable. We've only had it for 18 months and it's already rusty inside. For $150 I am shocked at how poor the construction of this kettle is. I have previously owned stainless steel kettles which lasted many years.

The enamel on my kettle started peeling just before the 12 months warranty expired. I contacted sunbeam and they told me to go back to the retailer. Unfortunately I don't live close to the retailer and by the time I could get there the 12 months had expired. My kettle is now 19 months old and looks older than my 10 year old kettle. Next time I purchase a kettle it won't be an expensive one.

Have had this kettle for two months now and it has worked perfectly. It's quiet and holds plenty of water (more than the other model in the range). The handle feels comfortable to hold and the switch feels solid. This extends to the rest of the build quality where the lid opens and closes without issue and the base doesn't roll around and sits flat. A nice touch that really makes it 'pop' is the light around the base when the kettle is boiling which sets it apart from the rest. The style makes it a statement piece rather than a kettle you'd want to hide under the counter. I have never had kettle i was willing to show off until this one.
Great design and finish on this kettle. Love the black with metal accents, matches perfectly with the style of my new kitchen. Love the pop up lid, makes filling easy, and the light that comes on when in operation. A functional, high end offering from Sunbeam.
Purchased this kettle, with matching toaster for its great looks. Function is good but 16 months down the track the handle to kettle join has failed / split when picking up the kettle causing the kettle to tilt forward spilling boiling water on the kitchen bench & floor. This could have been a lot worse if one of our young children were in the vicinity. Buyer beware this is a dangerous unit.
I bought this kettle as I liked the black and brass finish. Positives: It's quiet and lights up when boiling. Negatives: The spout is too wide and not good for controlling how much and how quickly you pour. The coating scratches very easily and after 6 months the black has already chipped off and it doesn't look very shiny anymore even after cleaning it. It works fine and I bought it on sale but I wouldn't recommend it at full price.
We purchased the silver version of this kettle with matching toaster from David Jones last year. My husband and I really liked the operation of this one until he picked it up, half full of boiling water, and the handle completely snapped. He was very lucky not to end up with severe burns. Judging by previous reviews this is a frequent problem with this kettle and seriously needs to be addressed. And like most, this occurred just a month after the warranty expired :(
When I first saw the advertisement for their New York Collection I knew Sunbeam had really taken Small appliances to the next level!Stylish, Designed to be that talking point in every Kitchen, Fast , Quiet Boil, "Hot" Water, I swear it's hotter than any other kettle I've ever owned. Perfect decent spout, handle for any size hand. I absolutely Love that they light up around the base, so beautiful!There is nothing I don't believe about it! I had to buy the Toaster aswell! It was time for a new upgrade of my kettle and toaster. I decided to go with the New York collection as it has the elegant and stylish look that I was after. I’m so impressed . It far exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be happier. Sunbeam are a trusted and very reliable brand.
