Just testing the waters: I like to by mid to high end high-fi gear and only recently began a 3.0 set up but here goes. The TV is last years TCL 55s525 4k, the amp is a still very able Sony STR DH520. All HDMI to TV and ARC to the receiver. The center I replaced was a pioneer C22.I average 12 feet at viewing/listening position. I rotate the fronts between a pair of pioneer FS52 for basic viewing but for high dynamic or action movies I rotate in the Focal aria 936 and this affordable center matches well with either. I really do not have much to compare but I assure you this 3 way center channel is a great addition.I'd also lie to give a shout out to "Z Reviews" from YouTube reviews for reviewing the SVS centers and driving home the point that a good 3 way is the ... To be honest, I was a little disappointed when I first hooked the speaker up and after running the Audyssey calibration on my Denon AVR-S950H. To me, it had a midrange/bass sound to it that I didn't like. The highs were subdued and it didn't sound as clear as the 20+ year old Infinity CC-3 center I was using. I was considering sending it back but I reminded myself that I have 45 days to give it a chance. Also, I wanted to give it the recommended 30-40 hours of use to let them "settle in". I have had it for 13 days as of this writing and I'm liking it more and more. Perhaps it's because my ears are becoming accustomed to the three way vs. two way arrangement I was used to. This speaker must be very accurate because I have noticed the difference in quality from ... I have just added a set of Prime Bookshelf speakers (four days ago) and a pair of Prime Elevations should arrive today or tomorrow and I am looking forward to putting all five new speakers to the test once they are all up and running. I have a pair of older SVS 25-31 PCi subs that are in perfect condition and still kicking' it. Other than the Infinity QPS-1 surrounds I'm using, I will be almost ALL SVS! Perhaps a set of SB-3000's and Ultra surrounds are in my future. Hmmm.

This speaker made a noticeable difference in my home stereo, it is paired with 2 Paradigm B200 speakers, a Paradigm Defiance V12 powered subwoofer and a Denon 760S receiver. system is used mainly for music, not cinema sound. The 3 way SVS center is unique, amazing tweeter and has very good voice sound quality. Good fit and finish. NFM customer service was great, trouble free pick up process and the item was in stock.

I was hesitant to purchase a center channel speaker that was differant brand than my mains. The problem is that I have Ohm Walsh 4's and the mating center from Ohm was over $2K, so I gave this on a try and could not be happier. Dialog is much more intelligable. Using Audyssey built into my Marantz receiver, the eq matches the system very well. The system is a 7.4.2 Dolby Atmos.
I bought the second pri.e center for my rear surrounds. I now have all SVS speakers for my 7.1 surround home theater. I have the ultra surrounds for my side surrounds, four prime elevations for my atmosphere speakers, two ultra towers for my main left and right speakers, ultra center for center channel, and pb4000 for sub duties. Entire system sounds awesome and is powered by Denon x6700h av receiver. Let me say that at reference settings it's too loud. Pb4000 set to -20 and still shakes my house. The ultra towers are some serious bass shakers on their own, let me say when I first got the ultra towers I was not impressed with their sound, sounded tinny almost like klipsch speakers. Hate klipsch speakers, any ways I sat through a week of listening and was about to ship them back, just didn't feel like having to box them back up, so decided to try them for another week, boy am I glad I waited. Now everytime I listen to them they just keep sounding better. More often then not I just leave my pb4000 off and can say I don't miss it when watching movies or listening to music. Love watching ready player one the sound is awesome.
So I purchased the 5.1 surround package about 6 months ago. It comes with the 5 prime satellite speakers and a sb1000 subwoofer. It sounds great and my only gripe was the sub wasn't as powerful as I thought it was going to be but thats a whole different story. Anyway I wanted to upgrade the center speaker for a better experience. After thinking about it for quite a while I wasnt sure if for $350 it could make that much of a difference. Almost like upgrading from 1080 to 4k is what I was thinking it was gonna be. So I went on to some forums and asked others what they thought and everyone said YES, it will make a difference. So I pulled the trigger and they were 100% right. As SOON as I plugged it up and ran my EQ you could hear the difference. Not only in music but ... All I can say is I am happy I bought it. It will make a very noticeable difference in your setup. I can only imagine what the upgraded model of this product sounds like.
I have 2 Prime Center Speakers set up as my to front speakers, coupled with 2 Prime Elevation Speakers. In the center I have a Paradigm SE Center Speaker. The sound delivery is so detailed with this arrangement that when I listen to choral music every voice is represented. It is inspirational. Or when I watch a movie and a glass breaks, every broken piece is heard. I wish SVS put out an affordable mini sub, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Currently I am using a small 150 watt Yamaha sub since my living room is small and it rounds out the sound sufficiently, though I will probably upgrade it soon. The reason I used the Prime Center as front speakers is because it puts the sound output at ear level with a broad delivery. The midrange coupled with the tweeter and 2 woofers is what sold me. The detail of sound expansion is wonderful.Of course the 2 Prime elevation speakers heighten the whole experience, making my whole wall be a stage. When I listen to Jazz or classical, I just need to close my eyes and feel the impression of each instrument. A movie plays interactively across a broad spectrum. It's made watching old movies I've seen have new life. Dolby Atmos Bluray movies explode on the scene. I will have to get that sub updated soon, looking at a Cambridge Audio Minx X201. Since size is crucial in my present environment. Come on SVS make an affordable mini sub, please.
This is my 19th SVS speaker. I bought it to enjoy with the 9.2 channel system in my bedroom. This speaker replaces an Onkyo center speaker that I was using. The difference in the sound is huge. Im totally sold on SVS speakers and accessories. This Prime Center speaker can stand toe to toe with any other speaker on the market at any price. I have an SVS Ultra Center in my main listening room and this Prime Center accurately reproduces sound just as well to my ear. You cant go wrong with SVS products.
It took about a week of break in listening but well worth the wait. The only complaint is now I will probably end up replacing the other for Focal Dome satellites with SVS speakers. The focal in the center position was removed years ago and replaced with a spare polk bookshelf which did an admirable job but the SVS is next level. Anyone who watches video content knows how much program content comes through the center position and the single driver 4.5 inch Focal dome is just too small. They are amazing speakers but the center takes a beating and the SVS prime never breaks a sweat. If you are on the fence regarding SVS know that they have a virtually risk free trial period. I also own an SVS 2000 series SW and it was a game changer for my main surround system. Happy ... MoreIt took about a week of break in listening but well worth the wait. I am an original customer of SVS. I bought a PC + subwoofer back in the early 2000's. I was so impressed with its performance, I did some advertising for SVS with many of my hundreds of subordinate/peer/superior employees at Anheuser-Busch, where I was a manager for 35 years. And I know several of my friends there that ended up purchasing subwoofers from SVS. And each and every one of them were overjoyed with the products they received.Over time, I watched SVS expand their product line but more importantly continued to read stellar reviews on their existing and new products that really defied mathematics they were so consistent high.Once I ran my original PC plus into the ground after a decade plus of heavy use, they were so very helpful in helping me rebuild it ... More recently I bought a middle of the line center speaker and replaced my main towers with two ultra towers. These Ultra towers out performed Kliptch TOLs that, at the time were priced 350% of the cost of the SVS Ultras. I never really understood the term "warmth" as it pertains to the sound emanating from a speaker until I received my towers. It was my wife (amazingly), that convinced me to go with the SVS top-of-the-line ULTRAS rather than the PRIMES.My center speaker however is a prime and it sounds wonderful. In retrospect I wish I would've just bought the entire box set of all ultras. What drives all of my speakers are super high power professional amplifiers. (My 9.1 Yamaha handles all the processing but is responsible for no amplification including my outdoor, (zone 2) speakers, which are driven by an old 400 W per channel Rotel.). I even had to run three unique (discrete) 20 amp circuit's to where I plug everything in.I cannot say enough good things about SVS. I'm 62 years old, and humbly submit that I am highly objective, yet have always served as a consultant/mentor/trainer in the arena of "managing motivation", and I can tell you that the SVS folks (with reference to service), follow the axioms of same, contained therein. 'My hat is off to SVS and the remarkable service they systematically provide, and do so in such a 'family oriented' fashion.Bob Richards.

SVS Prime Centre Speaker - Black Ash
True 3-way center channel delivers crystal clear and natural sounding dialogue and vocals with an expansive soundstage, stunning dynamics and excellent dispersion for a convincing home theater surround sound experience. Product Overview It's rare, if not impossible to find a true 3-way center channel speaker at even close to what the Prime Center costs. Leveraging design elements and technology from the SVS Ultra Center, the Prime Center speaker features premium drivers and crossover components and sophisticated engineering that put it in a class by itself when compared to other center speakers in its class. Center channel speakers are often considered the most underrated speakers in a home theater because they handle so much of the content yet are designed as afterthoughts by many audio brands. The SVS Prime Center accepts no compromises and anchors the front soundstage of a 5.1 home theater surround sound system or other set-ups with precision and power that complements even the most high-end multi-channel systems.
