I bought an NVR 8780 system with 4 of these cameras in May 2021. When it was delivered it was tested in 2021 for around 1 week inside the home (not installed outside), it worked fine with no issues. This is making the moisture pouch you put inside these cameras to actually RELEASE the moisture back into the atmosphere and hence the condensation appears. I suspect the latest firmware for the NVR 8780 system (2022 Firmware update) may have made the cameras run hot and this is causing the problem. It seems many others have this issue to so I suspect it is not random. Maybe something your development team can investigate to help everyone with these system? The moisture pouches pull moisture from the air when they are cold or normal temperature, but when hot or warm they actually release moisture. I suspect with these cameras getting hot the moisture pouches are releasing moisture into the cameras!! The cameras are VERY HOT to touch when they have been on some time, this is not normal and wasn't the case before with the original firmware.

Also disappointed that the replacement Camera didn’t carry at least a 1 year manufacture warranty. For the price I would expect more reliable/rigid hardware. These cameras are not suited to general application outdoors and need to be specially placed to avoid false detections. Bought this camera in a pack of 4 with the NVR 8580. Turned on the motion and PIR (Heat Detection) feature and received multiple false alerts (over 10 - 15) per day. Swann I would suggest you spend less time spreading all your features across multiple versions of the cameras and just invest in creating a strong, reliable product that can deliver as advertised. I chose Swann because of the brand but after seeing my friends non-Swann cameras working without these hassles, I think that I have made an expensive mistake.

I bought an NVR system with 4 of these bullet cameras for usage on paranormal investigations. This means my whole setup, including the cameras move around a lot and these cameras are incredibly durable and easy to set up. Flashlight and siren features work well for catching our attention when one of the cameras senses movement. 4K resolution and powerful infrared night vision work perfectly in all environments, indoor and out. I have plans to double my camera arsenal in the future with these 4K bullet cameras. The only thing I'm not satisfied with is that the cameras cannot be mounted to any tripods.
** NOTE FOR SWANN TECH ** I have just updated the firmware on 4 of my cameras. Previous firmware version was V14.45.5.0_210903 This had a bug with the siren which started loud and after a second went very quite. The new recent firmware has fixed that issue. But unfortunately it's introduced another issue. The current and latest firmware is V14.45.5.0_220713 This new firmware has stopped the date and time being shown on the stream. So both live stream and playback recordings no longer show the timestamp. No matter what settings you select it will no longer show the time on the video stream. (Tried rebooting and all the usual resetting etc but nothing works) The option is there and has the relevant tick so should be showing the timestamp and date. Purchased unit in May 2021. Installed in the summer 2021. Numerous recording problems through November 2022. Finally resolved and okay. Had several cameras failed from 30 days through 1 year of service. Very poor weather resistance. If you buy don’t buy these without some sort of extended warranty. Swann won’t stand behind after one year even if camera was only on service 30 days. They are just poorly sealed.
I bought this yesterday, 8.6.22, to replace an existing NHD-865MSB as the night vision was not good enough to identify intruders we routinely get. Eventually got it to work and the picture quality at night was worse than useless. The centre of the picture was all fuzzy and was NOT caused by reflections as the outer part was clear. So took the camera down and found a small circle of what appeared to be tiny dots directly in front of the lens. I compared it to the other cameras I have and none had this. At first I assumed it was some kind of diffuser but no. It turns out it was condensation. The temperature last night in the UK was 12C so not cold at all. I put the camera on the window sill in the sun and it has now gone. I have set them up in the order I want them and running through the target areas now to limit false alarms. Very simple to use I haven't even looked at the user manual yet. I just press a n area to see what it is and have a play. It is that simple. Only issue is the wires to the cameras one was broken so if i was installing it myself it would have been a pain but Amedeos just made up a cable. Then said I'll just use our thicker cabling because it's better quality. Only used 3 original cables because that's how many they ran before finding the broken one. Cables are packed tight and it had a kink and broke at that point. My camera has only been stored dry location inside and in the original box since July 2020, then installed in a totally sheltered location - straight out of the box. 2 out of 4 cameras not fit for purpose due to moisture ingress. I see Swann appear to be making pathetic excuses here like the buyitdiscountdirect retailer I bought it from is. Stop fobbing people off and deal with faults your product clearly has. They are not fit for purpose and you gave a legal obligation to deal with it. My system is only 6 months old, for the money this stuff costs they are rubbish Off to trading standards next, I suggest everyone else does the same.
