Love this new Tamron 28-75mm lens. It stays on my camera 90% of the time. Check it out because this lens rocks. This widely sought after lens is in huge demand many people. Adorama took my back order and gave me the best price I could find on the web. Adorama also sweetened the deal by throwing in some extra goodies like filters, photo editing software, and cleaning tools. Great Tamron lens from a great photography web store. 5 stars and I will use Adorama again for my photography needs. Kirk in S.C.

I absolutely love the Tamron 28-75mm lens for my new Sony Alpha A7 II. I recently took some pictures of fall colors, and all of the images were tack sharp. Colors were nicely saturated without being false. The lens focuses quickly and is great in low light. Overall, the combination of the camera and lens simply destroys my old Canon T2i. The bundle offered by Adorama was very nice as well. I’ve really only used the polarizing filter so far, but it made a huge difference with capturing the fall colors. Of course, Adorama is a solid company that ships fast and stands behind their products. Bottom line - if you’re on the fence about buying this lens, get off the fence. It’s an uncomfortable place to be, and you’ll love this lens.

This is one great lens. Especially for the price! The size and weight are super manageable and it seems to have very consistent sharpness throughout the zoom range. It's not as good as a macro lens, but it has such a short minimum focusing range and a good reproduction ratio that it can be used to get in close and pull out some of those small details. It's not a perfect lens, but it's pretty close. I definitely recommend this lens for the E-Mount cameras.

This is a overall lens, excellent price point if you are not ready to drop money on the 24-70 GM.pros : minimal focus distance, light weight, short movement of glass so it’s okay on a gimbal, very sharp. Auto focus is amazing and on par with Sony’s 24-70 f2.8Cons: cannot switch on the lens from AF/MF, all plastic build (yes it’s lighter weight but feels like a kit lens), Color it produces is pleasing but Sony 24-70 is more pleasing to me (subjective)Overall for the price I like the lens. It will get the job done and then some.
We're three weeks in and loving the lens. For us, it was an upgrade to the kit lens. We have the A7ii and have tried lenses with the Sigma MC-11 adapter which works fine in most situations. One drawback with that adapter was that continuous focus couldn't keep up with faster subjects. The overall size of this lens is great, especially given that it's capable of f2.8 over the whole focal range. No buttons or switches on the lens means you'll spend slightly more time working the AF/MF on the camera body, but the price for this lens means those extras aren't there. But $800 for a bundle? Can't beat it!
This is a really good lens for the price. It fits my Sony A7iii perfectly because of the size. Though it a bit long, it's narrow circumference makes it a perfect fit for the Sony mirrorless camera. I took a couple of shots and I like the bokeh and the sharpness of the lens. I mainly do videos. I used it for a wedding this weekend and when I reviewed the 4K videos, I could see so much details even the very tiny details in the make-up. Occasionally it's a bit slow in grabbing focus but it eventually gets it; I probably need to adjust the focus speed in the camera. I believe you will love the lens.
This lens is my new workhorse. At all focal lengths, the sharpness is on point, focus is quick, and no noticeable distortion. I was shocked at the minimum focus distance also, which can get me semi-macro shots. The build quality is great, and it's relatively light. The cons I have are only nit-picky items: The focus and zoom rings require a bit more force than I would like. It does feel a little bit plasticy - I'm coming from Canon L lenses, which are 3x the price for the same quality in images. I cannot recommend this lens enough to people! Whenever I'm just going out and want to carry one lens, this is my go-to!
Every review I've read about this camera has been extremely positive. I found the kit lens to be unacceptable so after much research online I decided to purchase this lens. I will admit that this lens is far superior to the kit lens Sony packages with the A7III. But I still have issues with sharpness when enlarging photos for print. This sharpness issue is present before the print stage while still on the computer as a raw or jpeg file. I have seen many posted prints from other users whose prints look fine enlarged. Some others seem to also have the same issue I do if you enlarge their prints. This lens is well worth the investment. I am still undecided about whether or not the camera is worth the investment.
Personally I have never purchased any third-party lenses until now; maybe I am a snob, but this one was a surprise. My Nikon D810 system only uses Nikon lenses (2.8 or better) and my Sony a6400 only uses Sony lenses, but now I was in need of purchasing some lenses for my Sony a7III and that is when I came across the Tamron. I purchased this due to the high approval and ratings of others and I am not disappointed. Well worth the price paid and money saved over the Sony comparable lens. I will more than likely;y purchase Sony lenses for my primes, but this was the perfect all-around travel lens.
Great lens! Awesome build and quality. For the price this rivals the Sony Versions. I have zero issues with autofocus or operation with my A7Riii and A7iii. Firmware update was a breeze and pictures are razor sharp. Slight barrel distortion at 28mm but in camera correction or in post via you software of choice (Lightroom, Luminar etc...) will correct this. First time Tamron buyer and now will be a repeat customer.
