I have had a couple different decks in the past but the 1210's are the best. The only deck I have ever played on that is better are the mk5's. They have the same feel, just a couple more nice features like the reset button. I would highly recommend this product!

I have had my mk2s for 7 years and i haven't had a problem with them yet. They do everything I need them to do (including scratching, but for scratching a dj is only as good as his cartridges). They are built very solid and they look cool. Please, don't get caught slipping with those other cheap @ss turntables that break after a year or two. Ask any dj and they will tell you nothing bad about "twelve hunnits"! Buy these and the party will just keep going and going........

The SL-1210MK2 is equally as good as the original SL-1200MK2. Similar versions of this turntable by Technics have had some distinct differences. Namely in the pitch control. Other models seem to run slower and "drag". I have noticed that this model has consistent pitch accuracy. The pitch seems more responsive, "faster" than the other models by Technics. The SL-1210 comes with every feature that the original has and it comes in a cool black finish. This model, SL-1210MK2, is worth every penny and is no joke.

This is hands down the best turntable in the world. I use to work in the DJ department at a music store and this was, is, and will forever be THE choice for DJ's. I've had my SL1210's for 3 years and had SL1200's before that. These things are built like tanks. Works just as good with Serato Scratch Live.
Hi people, the Technics 1200's are the best turntables ever, they just won't break. I have seen cheap turntables and I ask myself why would you buy something cheap like that? I promise you, you get a Technics and they will last forever, what you pay for is what you get! You will never regret it.
Nothing is better than the Technics 1200's. It's got the fastest break and start time I've ever seen and they're built tanks. 25 pounds of die-cast iron and aluminum construction. If you got the money, get them. From what I hear, the average life-span is 15 years. Let's hope mine last that long.
I have spun on a multitude of turntables over the years and without question, the Technics 1200's are the greatest ever made!!! They are the best value because YOU'LL NEVER HAVE TO REPLACE THEM. We call them the tanks because of their toughness and durability. Don't waste your money on imitations, get the REAL DEAL!
Walk into a club, radio station, etc. and what do you see? A pair of Technic 1200's. It never fails. No matter what other companies do to "add" more to their turntables. Technics will still forever win in all catagories. They may not have the most torque, but they work. They may not have digital "this & that", but they work. They have worked for over 20 years, enough said.
First, I'm an audiophile. I'm not interested in the DJ aspect of this TT. To be sure, it was a present 12/24. I owned an Audio-Technica AT-LP7 and was afraid it would be at best a lateral upgrade. However, I was surprised.To begin with, the sound was more detailed, with better sound stage and imagining.than my other tables. In fact, I wad shocked at the great detail that I had previously missed.The table is extremely well isolated, and spins with great accuracy. The S shapped tonearm uses gamble fashioned and thus tides the groove with great accuracy.The built quality is top notch.Any comaints were directed at the unhinged dustcover which is not an issue for me.I can't say this table produces better sound than other Technics offeri g, but I can't see how ... MoreFirst, I'm an audiophile. the capabilities these decks give you are beyond any other turntable i have used. highly responsive to the every detail. the pitch control is very responsive (like mentioned), and definatly dont lag as much like many other decks do. i started on 1200mk2s and these in comparison are suttly diffrent in preformence, but you can tell the diffrence, they are a blessing to your hands and setup.
