Technics SU-R1000 Reference Class Amplifier, Silver by Addicted to Audio
The new Technics SU-R1000 Amplifier is the first Integrated amplifier in the Reference Class at Technics, The solid metal housing with its extremely elegant brushed aluminium front is available in black or silver, in the centre of the top half there is a rotary encoder for the volume, to the left of it the standby button, a status LED and a 6.3 mm jack for headphones. To the right of the rotary encoder, an OLED display provides information about the most important parameters and the active input, which can be selected with another smaller rotary encoder on the far right. Below that, almost the entire width of the front is taken up by classic VU meters. The SU-R1000 Integrated Amplifier develops two times 150 watts on speaker systems with an impedance of 8 ohms, it is a proud 300 watts per channel when the speakers have an impedance of only 4 ohms.

Says it's built in Japan in the Overview, but actually built in Malaysia on the back of the chassis. About a 3000 mile difference. A more accurate description would be designed in Japan.

I am very satisfied with all parts of it.The construction is innovative and the finish is beautiful.The sound is detailed and accurate. With a good choice of speaker it can produce a very dynamic sound. The built-in phono is one of the best I have ever encountered. This amp is a true masterpiece.
