This product has been essential for my husband since he had prostate surgery. The wings are critical to contain moisture and the level 3 (4 drops) are critical when going out and needing time between changes. I gave it 4 stars only because they are not readily available in Canada - only the (3 drops- as shown on the packaging) which are good but not when needing extending time. The large Tena wipes are also very effective.

I had prostate surgery last year, which has left me unable to hold my water for more than a few minutes. I tried several brands of these pads, but found these to be the best. They come in different thicknesses depending on your needs. These level 3 pads really do hold a lot (up to 700ml). They are very discreet, and you can easily carry a spare one to in your pocket. They also stop odours too, and give you the confidence to go out without worrying about embarrassing accidents, as long as you drink sensibly. I would recommend them for anyone having prostate, bladder or urinary tract surgery, temporary post op, or long term use.

My husband had prostate cancer and it left him incontinent these pants were a god send. He was able to wear them without fearing of showing wet patches in his trousers. They are very absorbant and easy to put on and off. He tried other cheaper products but these were the best. They are not the cheapest but it definitely gave him confidence to go and about again in public.
I use this product if i am going out for a longish period and need to feel secure. Delivery was swift and anonymous at a surprisingly competitive price. I chose the Level 2 product because it is far less bulky than Level 3 and yet provides far more security than other, thinner pads. In all, the Level 2 absorbent protectors are ideal for my case and I shall certainly be back for a further supply.
I have been using these pads for over 10 years post surgery and radiation treatment. I cannot manage on anything less than the Level 3 guards, ut over the last couple of years I sense that the current Level 3 is not the previous Level 3. The product seems thinner, more like an old Level 2 and consequently the absorption is not as god and I have to buy the product more often.I am also concerned that so few stores either in my area, or in other cities and countries that I visit do not stock Level 3 Guards. Is this a lack of promotion by TENA marketing department.Additionally; it is quite apparent that more emphasis on reliability and fit is placed on the female products. People like me obviously do not enjoy using guards; it is often an absolute necessary for men of all ages to require the product after surgery for prostate cancer. We require discreet, comfortable products too.
Tena Protective Guards allow me the opportunity to feel "normal" once again, after wearing the undergarment briefs during heavy leak periods, and overnight. Since my surgery in mid-October I have been able to find a Tena product that is able to satisfy my needs as I advance forward through my incontinence. Even during heavy leakage, the Tena undergarment has never leaked through to my clothing. The briefs are comfortable and supportive. In order to obtain the Level three guards, it was necessary to purchase them online, as they were not available in stores throughout the Toronto area. I hope that at some point the guards would be available in retail stores in the Toronto area.
The men's Protective Guards are a comfortable means of wearing regular underwear, "they actually allow you to wear regular underwear". I normally wear these pads at night time in order to sleep without the full briefs. The pads have not leaked, and allow free movement inside the regular clothing. The guard adhesive on the back sticks securely to the garment. I have purchased these pads twice now, and they are good value and I feel they are more environmentally friendly.
Having had artificial sphincter 'installed' about 3 years ago, it copes with minor leakage and the occasional more significant incident very well, eg when sneezing or sitting on edge of chair.I use 1 pad over 24 hours, and very satisfactory, even when I do have a problem.Do you supply disposal bags ? I had a number provided, when I first had the operation which each hold about 7 used pads.It would be very helpful if these could be ordered/provided at the same time.
