The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum 5 ml

I unexpectedly received this product in a Vox box from Influenster and The Ordinary for my honest opinion. I have been really struggling with the growth/appearance of my eyelashes. While I had beautiful lashes in my younger years, they really have been looking shabby the last few years. I have been reading up on the studies released regarding the main active ingredient (caffeine) in this product and have been impressed with results which are comparable to Minoxidil. While I know Latisse is responsible for some of my results as well, I had stoped using it for a period of time and just used this product so I could try and see how it would work. It has been nearly a month now of just using this product and I feel that it has really amped up my progress, especially in regard to the conditioning and softness of my lashes and brows. I have tried several products from The Ordinary and have been very happy with many of them and I also love how reasonably priced their products are as well.

The serum is lightweight, doesn’t leave my lashes/brows feeling heavy nor does it leave behind a tacky/oily residue. I have seen an improvement in thickness, slight bit of growth, and volume at the base of lashes. As for my brows they feel more soft but I haven’t seen any real change in thickness and hair growth, though I’m sure as the weeks go on I will start to see more change. My only con really is that a couple of the ingredients that claim to help hair growth or reduce hair loss have no significant scientific research to back up its claims. That said, there are many ingredients in this serum that does provide hair growth so I definitely think it’s worth a try if you have short or thin lashes/brows. If you stay consistent with use and use twice daily you’ll start seeing results around 6-8 weeks. Since I don’t have very thick curly eyelashes, I am always looking for products that would help my lashes. This was my very first eyelash and brow serum I have ever used. Initially like most people I thought it might not work but after using it for two weeks I started noticing some difference. I did apply this product very religiously twice a day morning and night. I read peoples comments on influenster that people had lash fallouts and discoloration in their eye lids, but I never had any of these issues. My lashes and brows are slightly fuller and darker now. My only concern at this moment is that what will happen if I stop using the serum. My only complaint about this product would be about the applicator it a little bit of inconvenient for application to brows for a faster application. Hence, I used a spoolie for application on my brows. If you are someone who is a fan of vegan or clean products, then this serum is perfect for you. This product retails for 14.50$ which is very reasonable compared to other brands in the market. I will definitely recommend who is looking for a lash serum. My only regret is that I should have taken before and after picture to compare more closely.

Bold Brows and Elongated Eyelashes

I've been using this for about 3 weeks or so and what a difference! I have bottles of GrandeLash purchased during a 40% sale that have not accomplished what The Ordinary's serum has. My eyebrows are pretty even naturally and I only have every had to finish the ends of them as one was noticeabley (to me) a bit shorter than the other. I get my brows threaded semi-regularly and have always lamented that the 'tail' on my left brow was significantly shorter than the one on my right. I began using the serum on both lashes and brows 2x daily and have noticed a remarkable difference. Both brows are now almost symmetrical and much fuller than before. The difference is most noticeable on the outer corners of my eyelashes and they give my eyes a wonderful winged effect. I apply as the last step after applying moisturisers and my eye cream and they seem to play well with each other. I wear contact lenses and only noticed irritation when I blinked while the product was still wet and it got into my eye. It was also a bit irritating after applying then going out into the heat, fortunately the walk from the front door to the car was not very long. The irritation was merely minor and not significant enough to warrant me to stop using the product. Overall, I'd say it's a great value for the price and most importantly, IT WORKS. No need to shell out big bucks for other flashier brands, The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum is the one for me!

Good for my brows, not my eyelashes.

I was gifted this in exchange for my honest opinion. I love Ordinary products so I was so excited to try this. I already have thick eyebrows, but I over did the middle of my brows in the mid 2000s and they have not grown back. I tried GrandeBrow and GrandeLash and both gave me severe skin irritation. They both made my skin dry, red, and grossly scaly. GrandeLash also gave me insane dark under eye circles. What’s the point of having thick brows and eyelashes if it’s going to make you look like a puffy lizard? I wish I had taken before and after photos. I've been using the product for about a month now. I will admit I didn't use it every day but did use it about 85% of that 1 month period. I did see a difference in the front part of my brows from a salon brow waxing incident where the hair is more sparse than the rest of the brow. The hair is not fully thick there but I did see a difference in my brows being less noticeably thin. I also used it on my lashes and noticed a little difference (not as much with the brows) but after about 2 weeks, it started breaking my eyes out and I can't use it on my lashes anymore. I can sort of see the logic of the applicator with the lashes but the brows should be applied with a spoolie so that it is evenly distributed throughout the entire brow. If you have thinner brows I would imagine you would go through this product quickly because of the applicator. Honestly for the lashes I would prefer a spoolie as well; it would allow you to get to the root and coat the lashes similar to mascara. But I can kind of see the logic with the applicator how it is. But for brows? No, should definitely be a spoolie. I recommend for brows, not for eyes but that is personal due to my allergic reaction. Read ingredients first. I will likely repurchase once mine runs out for brows only and use disposable spoolies instead of the applicator it comes with.
