Handle is very light and cheap feeling. The spine of the blade is far too sharp and is very uncomfortable to hold. I will need to manually sand the sharp corner to make it useable. There is an etched line approx 1cm thick along the length of the blade which serves no purpose except to get food stuck on it. I bought the knife because it was cheap and got what I expected.

It took 5 business days to receive this amazing Narihira. I've been using it everyday. Its sharp and very convenient for picking up the veges. Be careful cause it is sharp even at the end of the blade near the handle.

Bought the knife a couple weeks ago and during the first use the I noticed the handle was loose. Was pretty sharp out of the box.
Knife looks great. Cannot read care instructions (how to care for knife)Diagram shows knife apart. No clue why.Do you have english instructions? On Internet maybe? Edge was not as sharp as I had hoped.
First knife of this style for a few years and I am having trouble picking any other knife out of the block at the moment. Not ideal for all tasks but for slicing it is perfect with a lovely thin blade.
The knife is sharp and was received within just a few business days so those are excellent. However, I washed the knife and left it to air dry in my dish rack. There were rust spots where a water droplet did not evaporate and I have scrubbed and scrubbed and cannot get the rust spots off! Very disappointed in this aspect of the knife!
This knife is probably the best quality knife that I have ever owned, it's sharper than most razors, and is light enough to where my speed in a rush is. Ot hendered. I highly recommend this blade for any experienced chef.
This was a gift. She cooks with vegetables everyday and says this has made her chopping and cutting duties much faster!
get a 1000/6000 stone. Soak it in mineral oil available at any drug store. Then over time keep honing this knife at a very low angle while drizzling water on it in the sink. The knife is incredible, way better than my $125 Shun.
