I received this product for free from Influenster and Tom Ford in exchange for my honest review. I didn't expect much from this fragrance, and I must say I was incredibly (pleasantly) surprised. The packaging is beautiful - white with the bronze-ish accents definitely gives the "fiery, warm" feeling. The notes are listed as tuberose, sandalwood, and benzoin. I think it's a very well-blended fragrance because I can't pick out any one individual note, which is always a plus for me. Additionally, I personally am not a fan of a tuberose note that really sticks out and takes over, so the blending on this fragrance passes that test for me too. Just in time for summer, for women and men

To cut to the chase, this didn’t wow me at first. I needed a replacement for my favorite Mandarino, but decided to try something new. On the card, Soleil De Feu was a pina colada - big hit of coconut right up front, and it just kept on giving every time I went back to the card. But something underlying that was starting to appear that I liked. As with all scents, the only real test is on the skin. I tried the Soleil Neige first - a first time for me. Soleil Neige is definitely a knockout from Tom Ford, but it was almost too “business” for what I wanted. So, ignoring that I might smell like a pina colada the rest of the day, I tried a quick spray of Soleil De Feu. I was surprised how fast the coconut smell toned down. I’ve tried it for a couple days now, and I like how it mellows down to something of spice, wood, and a tropical scent that is no where near as definitive as my favorite Mandarino but still light, fresh - I would comfortably wear this for a summer business get together (more casual vs banker’s meeting) as well as any weekend/evening where summer fun is the rule.I think it is heavily marketed to women, will admit that slowed me down. So I thought I’d write a review since it landed the summer tropics smell I wanted, but with a depth from the spice and saddle wood.

This scent transported me into a sunset late summer into fall evening walking on the beach. Although later on in the evening I could no longer smell the perfume on me, my boyfriend could still smell it and I also received compliments from a few people that evening, so this beautiful perfume will now become a staple in my collection. There's a milky snickerdoodly-ness (warm spicy powdery sweet vanilla cookie) that the two share. But! Soleil also has a chemical/lotion note that my brain interprets as "do not put in mouth". But it's so close to gourmand that I find myself repeatedly thinking "do I want to eat this? [Sniff] No. Do I want to eat this now? [Sniff] still no". I find it uniquely confusing (in a good way).The scent lasts over 8 hours when I spray on my wrists and sleeves.
