TP-Link Deco X60 AX5400 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System - 3-Pack
With clearer and stronger signals, enhanced by BSS colour and beamforming, the Deco X60 extends Wi-Fi throughout the home up to 650 m2. Wireless connections and optional Ethernet backhaul work together to interconnect Deco units, resulting in even higher network speeds and truly seamless coverage. Thanks to TP-Link mesh technology, all weak signal areas are now covered with "one" stable and fast WLAN. If one unit is disturbed, the other Deco units heal the faulty one by means of self-healing function. Seamless transmission: The Decos work together to form a unified WLAN network. Your phone or tablet will always automatically connect to the Deco unit that gives you the highest speed as you move through your home. With support for 802.11r and 802.11k/v, you can fully enjoy uninterrupted Wi-Fi even when you switch between Deco units. TP-Link mesh technology always finds the right transmission option in a suitable band for you. No matter where you are.

Do not recommend. I'm sorry to be so down on this product. I historically have liked TP Link routers. But I have to be honest. I bought this thinking it would upgrade my home internet experience. Every aspect of this has been a nightmare. The set up was not easy. The internet speed is slow. These routers fail unexpectedly all the time, forcing me to reset and reconfigure. Did I mention my internet is actually slower with this set up? I've tried repositioning and resetting. Sometimes my devices just drop internet for no reason. Sometimes I lose internet for the entire household. This is problematic for working from home. I wish I could return this. So disappointed in this product.

I bought this because the wifi in my house doesn't reach my room and this had pretty good reviews on Amazon. Well, ever since I received the item I had issues setting it up and having to factory reset every few days just to get it to speeds of over 20 mbps even though my house is much smaller than the advertised 7000 sq ft maximum reach. Finally I was tired of the constant resets and went to return it to Target - when I found out that this only has a 30-day return window compared to the usual 90 days for Target products. After going to TP Link, they told me they couldn't offer a refund for ANY reason and also, even though the product was within the 90-day warantee, it seemed to be a software issue so they also couldn't offer a replacement (not that I wanted one for ... MoreI bought this because the wifi in my house doesn't reach my room and this had pretty good reviews on Amazon. Short of it is - I will never buy a TP Link product again! I'm out $200 for a defective product with no means for reconciliation

For years and years we had always been dealing with all sorts of network issues throughout our home which consists of 4 bedrooms and a guest house. Setting up this mesh system could have not been easier, you only have to create an a Deco account and everything is such a breeze. There are tons of settings that you can play around with; from bandwidth limits to scheduling internet hours, you can do all sorts of things right from the app. Now the important part, when it comes to speed these things work flawlessly, I set these pods strategically across the property and our downloads are almost identical to being directly plugged through ethernet to our main router. I cannot recommend these pods enough if you have been struggling with connection across your property.Ps. ... MoreFor years and years we had always been dealing with all sorts of network issues throughout our home which consists of 4 bedrooms and a guest house. Having read enough glowing reviews of this Wi-Fi extender, I headed down to Best Buy to buy the product off the shelf. I spoke with a floor salesperson who located a box for me. Before paying for the item, I asked the salesperson how to install the system. I showed him pictures of the existing Spectrum router-modem connection. He said to just take power on/off precautions, take off the ethernet cable end from the router and connect it to the 1st TP unit, follow instructions in the Deco app, then connect the other 2 TP units to electric outlets in different parts of our house. Eeeeck! I found out that the router needs to be connected to the 1st ethernet port of the 1st TP unit, the modem needs to be connected to the 2nd ethernet port of that 1st TP unit, so that the ... MoreHaving read enough glowing reviews of this Wi-Fi extender, I headed down to Best Buy to buy the product off the shelf. Eeeeck! I found out that the router needs to be connected to the 1st ethernet port of the 1st TP unit, the modem needs to be connected to the 2nd ethernet port of that 1st TP unit, so that the 1st TP unit is the intermediate device between the router and the modem. Upon making the right connections, everything else went smoothly. Whereas, with the previous router-modem connection I was getting download speeds in my new S23 Ultra cellphone as low as 0.2 mbps in our bedrooms and the living room, with the TP system, I now consistently get from the low 100s to 200 mbps in all those rooms. In our family room, where the router, modem, and now the 1st TP unit are located, from 100 to 200 mbps, I now get over 500 mbps. Outstanding!
Initially I had the Google Mesh system and I thought I was doing well getting 230 Mbps. But I notice that my cell phone that was connected directly to the home wifi was getting 360 Mbps... Then it hit me... Maybe my Google system was crap. So I went out and bought this system and setup was sooooo easy took 4 mins and the speed was nearly triple going from 230 Mbps to over 630 Mbps consistently. The dip you see in the photo after the spike was me testing Hardwire vs wifi. Hardwire won by a long shot. Also I bought a best buy Cat6 cable thinking it would speed up my speed even more, but after testing turns out the ethernet cable that comes with the TP-Link delivers faster speeds consistently over the generic Best buy cable. I highly recommend.
I had recently upgraded my internet from 200mbps to 1gbps. I was running a Nighthawk Modem paired with the Orbi RBR50 wifi mesh system, but after upgrading my speed realized the Orbi could not go higher than 200mbps. So I needed something new but the newer Orbi systems are a little pricey. So, I went to Best Buy to check out this Deco system I had heard about. Best Buy had it in stock and after comparing it with some systems that were double in price, the features on this are awesome. Does everything I need, easy install, covers the whole house, app capabilities, etc. This system is great and has been well worth the purchase. From gaming, streaming, content creation, this handles it all with ease. Great wifi system, you won’t be disappointed.
This system helped me solve several significant networking obstacles recently during this last CCTV Install. I installed this mesh system and configured it in "AP-Mode" to function accordingly. The building where this equipment was utilized was a huge maintenance workshop that provided workers with enough room to work on exceptionally large farm equipment such as tractors, sprayers, seeders, etc... My main goal was to not only provide Wifi Access throughout the entire shop but these devices would also serve as WAPs for multiple IP Cameras. I have provided a couple of images below of two camera types that I hooked to this system. My main goal was to not only provide Wifi Access throughout the entire shop but these devices would also serve as WAPs for multiple IP Cameras. I have provided a couple of images below of two camera types that I hooked to this system. These cameras were mounted throughout the interior space and provided coverage around the workshop by mounting them on the exterior part of the building as well. By utilizing this ironclad mesh system combined with a couple of PoE switches I was able to save an enormous amount of time due to the fact I didn't have to run extensive amounts of cable around or through the building. The "Roaming" feature worked flawlessly allowing me to cover all aspects of the interior part of the building with my mobile device watching the live feed that the IP Cameras provided at high resolutions and streaming rates. These cameras streamed generally 20-30fps with extremely low latency times. I have provided an image attached to the review so you can get a better understanding of just how large this shop is. To my surprise, the WI-FI signal held strong outside the building within about 30 ft. or so around the majority part of the building. This workshop is insulated and then covered with sheet metal on both sides of the walls along with the roof as well. Needless to say, any wireless signal that was established either coming into the building or leaving the building was an accomplishment all on its own. I had previously just installed a TP-Link AX1800 Omgda to try and accomplish the same objectives as the Deco system regarding Internet connectivity and Interior Shop coverage. The EAP AX1800 is a good device but did not have the overall strength, reliability, and low latency times I needed in order to get the job done. I am extremely glad that I decided to try this mesh system for this particular aspect of the project because it exceeded my already high networking expectations. Not only did it accomplish this, but solved other issues such as extensive cabling, and overall cost-effectiveness.
I got these on a Black Friday deal. I live pretty much in a “hole”. Internet providers are limited and expensive and it was highly frustrating paying for services and barely get the service I was paying for. I continued some research and I decided to invest in a wife 6 mesh because I come to realize most of the issue was the router provided by the internet company. I live in a 2 beds 2 bath apartment. It is fairly big and I understand the signal may get block/limited to reach room to room. Also, with time I continued investing in more and more smart devices so I increased my download, but the router was not exactly reaching wirelessly the whole apartment and I saw the Mesh router in a special deal and decided to give it a try. This was a game changer. I work from home and work computer must be directly connected to the router. So the connection is in the master bedroom. I have a gaming room where the wifi connection on ookla test would normally read less than 100mgb now, with the mesh routers it reaches up to 400mbg. I have primary router in the master bedroom, second router in the living room and 3rd router in the gaming room. The set up was easier that I expected. The instruction are pretty simple and straight forward.
The Deci X60 has been nothing but stress to me.When I brought it home I had high expectations that I’d be getting good signal through the house. To start, I was a bit overwhelmed when going to the store seeing all the options. It is pitiful there is only one possible connection from the router. The setup was also painful - and took four hours to get everything working. The router would not connect or accept the connection from the modem. The app is pretty cool. You can customize, update and monitor the system. However this is also one of my biggest annoyances: there are settings only available in the app and not on the computer. What kind of idiot thought of that?I strategically placed them throughout the house to get good coverage. I’m still getting complaints from people in the house that they’re dropping signal, even though the user is 6 feet from one of the routers. The “mesh” tech they are pushing on this is extremely underwhelming. The mesh system is very lazy and doesn’t want to switch points to give the strongest connection. Instead, most of the devices connect to just one. And to test the system, I went to the farthest point away from the main router. I’m getting ~1/3 of the performance than when I’m close to the main one. This is just barely batter than when I had just one router, two stories above! All in all, I’m not sure what the hype is about. This lacks a lot of features and barely works the way they advertise.
My modem/router must be on the far side of our big house, due to the cabling, so I relied on an extender for coverage on the other side. It did not work well, as the extenders just add another network, so phones often required reconnects when moving within the house. And our modem/router had to be rebooted frequently as the WiFi 5 network frequently disappeared. I picked this up on Black Friday, with the help of an associate on a very busy day. Took it home, connected it to our modem/router with the short ethernet cable in the box, gave the Mesh network a different name than my existing network with their App, powered up the two nodes, one in a central hall and one in the back office. I then reconnected all the devices (smart thermostats, printer, etc) to the one new network. Worked - easy peasy. I got full speed throughout the house, including the upstairs. The devices all connected to the single network with their appropriate protocol, WiFi 5 or 2.4. You can see which devices are connected to each node via the app. My outdated printer did not reconnect automatically, but did connect manually with the MAC # of the closest node available via the app. Cons - only two ethernet ports on each node, and only one available on the main node, so is not appropriate for houses with hardwired ethernet without a switch.
