I own a few Tapo products including smart plugs, bulbs, indoor cameras etc. I opted for this door bell camera as I had a market leading one with monthly subscription but the battery failed after 2 years so wanted a reliable replacement.Super easy to set up (I already had the app) along with pairing the included chime. The box even included the wedge to angle the doorbell. Easy installation too.The app is easy to navigate and easy to sort out the camera boundary and chime options. I have an iPhone and when the bell is pressed it comes through as a call, once accepted the camera comes on.Excellent product and price compared to others on the market. No subscription which is an added bonus. I’ve used the micro SD card for storage ( sold separately).

Works as described. The pairing with the app was quick and easy. The camera resolution is quite good. The coverage has a very wide angle that can be usefule in certain cases but can also become distorted at certain installation angles. The night vision also works quite well. The chime is also paired via wifi which makes it quite effective to use wherever there is a wifi signal inside the house. The option to mark zones to detect pets, people and cars is quite useful. The alerts with motion detection are immediate in the app. The only negative I felt was the the video recording playback from the local SD card in the bell takes a long time to load and fails quite often (The bell runs on battery and I don't use the cloud storage option).
