bought a set of these to do some light pruning. within 5 minutes the blade got a kink in it. if you cut any thicker than 5mm thick twigs that are green, it will stop being a tool and start being a piece of garbage destined to the landfill.pro: it didn't break the bank buying it.it's shiny and looks good.con: it doesn't work as intended.conclusion: if wasting money on cheap tools and time is your thing, this is the tool for you.

Just like the small Trojan shears, the best part about these was the ease in which Bunnings accepted the return and refund. After around an hour of trimming a Diosma the blades would no longer close, leaving around 4cm of the tip of each blade unable to meet. This wasn't able to be adjusted out. They folded over a lot of small branches rather than cut. After an hours use I thought maybe it was me, not the shears, and considered buying a petrol trimmer. Not the case, after I swapped these out with a Cyclone branded set of shears I was cutting through branches and shrubs like butter. I cant not recommend these enough.

I bought these and within 2 weeks the blades stopped closing properly, much like the other reviews here. Not even sure what exactly went wrong so can't fix them myself. Don't buy, especially if you need them for your job 5 days out of the week like me

Worst product I have ever bought. After a couple of cuts the blades started cutting into each other. Took them back. Checked out others and selected a pair that were moving more freely. They lasted no longer than the first pair but this time the blades crossed each other. Took them back and bought the other much cheaper telescopic shears. Took them home and they did the job, no problems.
Not sure what everyone is complaining about. Hedging shears are designed to cut leaves and small stems. Cut a little often and you'll be fine. Does a good job on my Pittosporum, dead heading daisies and lavender. IMO they are a good pair of shears to start out with and wont break the bank. They are also not as plasticky as some on the market.
The first time I used these shears the blades cut into each other and actually cut into the "titanium treated" metal. I have reverted to using the 35 year old clippers that I had retired to the back of the shed. The Trojan shears look good with telescopic handles and special ratchet for easy use but fail to actually trim bushes. They were used to cut leaves and twigs less than 2.5mm thickness. Thank you Bunnings for an easy refund while I reconsider brands.
I bought a pair on Wednesday used for 15 minutes and noticed the tips of the blades weren’t meeting any more. The mor I used them the worse they got. Took them back to change to another brand but only other thing they had on stock we’re really cheap or super expensive. So, thinking maybe I just got a faulty set took another as replacement and again after a few minutes of use the tips no longer met.
I wish I'd read the reviews rather than making an impulse purchase based on price alone!! These are made of thin soft steel that BENDS under load rendering them useless.Wouldn't it be great if Bunnings read these reviews and culled the junk/rubbish/useless products🤬🤬
Trojan fought the branch and the branch won. Lasted less than two minutes. It hit a small branch (maybe 8mm?) and warped the blade so that it started cutting into its opposite blade. Sad.
Bought these and returned them with no hassles within an hour, almost like they knew they were crap. Hedges were bending between the blades instead of being cut. Coughed up an extra $43 for the Fiskars brand and had the job done in the time it took to take the Trojans back. Should have read all the bad reviews before I wasted my time.
