I purchased this trim restorer a month ago. Now I have had time to use , evaluate andjudge longevity. It was both very easy to apply the two coats and wipe off any overrun on paintwork. But the real star quality of this product is that it imparted an as new look to everything. Best of all after a month it is still looking as good and that is the winner for me.

The Good: I used this on factory textured plastic body trim and bumpers and it worked AMAZING. Some all purpose cleaner to ensure its clean during the wash, and then apply Turtle Wax afterward, it left a nice dark and satin gloss finish that's so far lasted 2 months without fading. The Bad: I used it on aftermarket smooth plastic mud flaps and it was a streaky terrible mess, thus the 4 star instead of 5.Wear gloves and get some cheap sponges for application, you'll get black dye on them and want to just toss them in the garage when done.

I was hesitant...I tried several trim restorer/dressings over the years and was not really happy with the long term results. My trim would get back to faded or grey in no time or after 1 wash.I applied the TW Graphene Trim Restorer, in the shade, on ALL my trim, plastic handles, mud flaps, anything that had black plastics. Gave 2 coats using a tire foam applicator. Went around once and restarted the second coat afterwards. Do not apply too thick of a coat.I'm happy to report after over 1 month and 5 washes, multiple rainy days, it's holding on strong!

The bottle needs a good shaking first, to thoroughly mix the liquid. The liquid can will leave staining on your hands, under your fingernails etc., so wear a pair of disposable gloves (like the ones you can get at the filling-station, if use the diesel pumps): although, the residue does come off your hands with the DIY-type disposable wipes. I applied the product using an old washing-up sponge and it was easy to apply and any that I accidentally got on the bodywork, was easily buffed-off with a microfibre cloth. I would normally use Autoglym and/or Maguires products on the plastics and rubbers, but thought I would try this as a longer-lasting solution. I did my mud-flaps first and it went a treat in fairness, then applied it to the plastics on the lower part of the front of my XC90. It darkened the plastics straight away and looks like it should longer than what I would normally use.
Don't forget to wear gloves ! A fairly runny black liquid that pours easily from the bottle. I used a sponge applicator pad, and this seemed to soak up some of the restorer.I found it easy to apply, and any overspills etc can easily be wiped away with a wet cloth.I don't know about durability, but a small drop got past the gloves and stuck to my hand, I've washed my hands several times and it is still there so it might last some time. Its not the biggest of bottles, and you do use a fair amount (as it recommends a second coat), but if it lasts, I would recommend it - along with all the Hybrid Solutions graphene range.
This works ok and does look nice but it does seem to lay a film down on top rather than penetrate the plastic trim. It’s messy to apply as it’s very runny. It does dry quickly and that’s a plus but it takes a day to harden properly and it does fill in any minor imperfections which is also good. Bowdens Mr Black does a better job i think but it takes longer to dry and does get absorbed into the trim and doesn’t just lay on top so i think it’s longevity will be better than the turtle wax product. So horses for courses i suppose. I thought it would be a cheaper alternative to get good results but knowing what i know now i would’ve just stuck with the Bowdens Mr Black as that is an excellent product and has proven reliable for me as long as you can keep it dry for 12 ... MoreThis works ok and does look nice but it does seem to lay a film down on top rather than penetrate the plastic trim. Your choice.
Bought this to treat the fading plastic trim on my wife’s 04 Corsa, which is otherwise looking really good for its age. I used this product on the trim at the back of the roofline that goes across the car and gets a lot of uv. The trim restorer went on easily with a small sponge, I used masking tape to keep it off the paintwork. It was a bit patchy / streaky so I applied several coats (3-4, the instructions say a couple of coats) which evened it out a bit although if you look closely you can see it’s been treated. But it has improved the look considerably. So far so good, it hasn’t washed off in the rain but longevity still to be determined. Still, there’s plenty left in the bottle and it seems to go a long way.
Just thought I'd let everyone know it's a reasonable product overall. However it definitely has a black dye through it which will get into your paintwork. Yes it does rub off, but you will be throwing out that microfiber towel. I tried Autoglym afterwards and that is a clear gel. Seems to be a bit easier, offers good gloss too.
Restored my 8 year old faded exterior plastic to a new finish. Its now 12 months later and the finish is still as applied. Even so, I quickly put another top coat on for good measure and longivety. I have a medium sized car and still have half a bottle left. Top product.
