UAG Monarch Pro Kevlar Magsafe Case For iPhone 15 Pro - Black

I didn’t expect it to be light. The design is excellent! Sleek! Robust! But it's going to give your phone a bulky feeling because it's too damn big. But it definitely will add an extra layer of protection. However, I wonder why the packaging doesn't have a seal.

Alright case

I liked the case until I dropped my case while it was raining outside and during the short period of time the phone with case exposed to the rain; the MagSafe feature stopped and the phone would heat up while in the case to the point that it would give an message of high temperature. So I had to stop using the case after only two months. Otherwise the case was great.

Does not work with mag safe charger

**does not work well with mag safe charger. I bought a ram mount for my car that accepts the apple mag safe charger. I have mixed results with the phone actually charging. A lot of the time I have to disconnect the MagSafe charger and plug in an actual cable in its place. I do love the case, Ive been using UAG cases for a long while now. Seems like an oversight in the thickness of the back of the case perhaps.

Good but could be better

Have always had UAG for iPhone case. They have never failed me and look great in the process. While I like this case I do not love it. Protection wise it is top notch like all UAG cases. I only have three areas that could be improved on. Ergonomics the edges of the case are not rounded of and do not feel comfortable in my hands. They are right on the edge of feeling sharp hen holding my phone. Second is the cutout area for the buttons. This are is very flimsy and could benefit from a little added support along to screen side. A little extra material or a stiffer material in this area would go a long way. Then third I have an area where the Kevlar is starting to lift up (quality control on the glued down area). Great Case, poor charging

I find the case is stylish and sturdy. Even though the Action is exposed. The case hinders the wireless charging and allows the phone to drop off of a magsafe mount without much force. I wish UAG would release this case with the Action button covered. To be honest, I wish I could find a case like UAG Monarch Pro Kevlar and Lifeproof/Otterbox Fre cases combined.

Leftover from iPhone 14 Pro

This case seemed to be a case that was really made for the previous iPhone instead of the iPhone 15 Pro. There was still the cutout for the silent switch instead of a button for the new Action Button. I was surprised that the company wouldn't have actually completed a redesign for the new model. Disappointed on this one after all of the years purchasing for Android and iOS.

Monarch Pro Kevlar

Solid case. I’ve love UAG since the iPhone 8. This updated MagSafe case works great with my magic mount in my truck. It did not work well with the original MagSafe charger I had received with my iPhone 12. But with the upgraded magnets it works and charges well now. I’d say it’s bulky if you’re wanting a slimmer profile but I enjoy it for how I use and treat my phones. It’s the only case I’ve used since the 8 for my iPhone and they look awesome!

Nice case but not certainly NOT MagSafe

Nice feeling in hand case and very rugged, should protect well.Few gripes though, the area above (screen side) the volume buttons is slit and this causes that area of the case near the screen to be soft. Unlike my old iPhone 14 pro pathfinder case which only has slits under the buttons and that worked fine and didn't case the flimsy area.Additionally this case has HUGE issues with a lot of wireless chargers. I have genuine apple branded (bought new with the 15 Pro phone at the apple store) and some 3rd party ones and all of them have issues charging with this case. I have to play with it a bunch to get it to work and then it stops. This is by far the worst case I've ever had for charging and I've had UAG Pathfinder & Monarch cases since the iPhone 7. Solid case, but doesn't work well with MagSafe

I tested an iPhone 15 with this case and found that it had trouble charging over MagSafe. Both the Apple MagSafe charger and two third-party MagSafe chargers failed to charge the phone while this case was on (the phone charged fine when the case was removed). Other than the charging issue, the case is still solidly built and provides strong protection for the iPhone.

What's inside?

I dissected my case to better understand its construction. I was surprised to find that the kevlar is not one of the layers, but just a decorative piece stuck on. It doesn't run across the body of the case, it's just added where it's visible. Also I can't figure out how they get 5 layers. I count 2 layers, the basic case and the bumps that are glues on the back. I still like the feel, design and heft of the case, but disappointed that the description is so off.
