Took a few rounds to get the hang of it, and a few cards we felt were open to interpretation. The rules were pretty clear (minus a couple cards). Once we got the hang of it, we got pretty intense. This is not a game for everyone- it requires a little thought and strategy. The concept is really quite dumb, but kinda genius at the same time. I recommend this game to people that have a little patience (to learn the game).

This game is one of many games coming out recently, card games with fun artwork based off of Exploding Kittens. It even takes some card ideas, like the "neigh"/"nope" card to negate an action. It is probably the most complicated card game I've played, not only because the rules themselves are a little complex, but every card has its own actions, sometimes adding together into quite complicated turns. Next, in Exploding Kittens, Nope cards are fun and pretty well balanced, however, more of a good thing isn't always fun, because this game I think has far too many Neigh cards. Because really the only way to win is with an action anyone can place a Neigh card on, I've played indefinite games because no one can make that last action, and we had to remove all neigh cards. ... This is a great card game! One of the most enjoyable i’ve played in a while. Its made my teeturtle. So you may recognise the animation from them.About 2-8 players with the base game. You have a ‘stable’ and all start with one baby unicorn, basically the first player to get 7 unicorns inbtheir stable wins. Obviously there are cards to thwart your attempts packed in there, unicorns can be ‘destroyed’ or stolen etc. you also have ways to stop actions from being played against you.I play woth my husband alot an recently played on thankgiving with 5 people and it was great! Everyone playing actually bought the game today!There are a few expansion packs out for it that we are definitly going to get! I hope walmart gets them in soon.With the expansion ... For all you Magic the Gathering players, I can teach you how to play this game in 3 sentences: There's one deck that everyone shares. There's only Instant, Sorcery, and Land cards. The first player to get to 7 Lands wins and the instant and Sorcery card just effect the them. For everyone else that has never played magic, the game provided you with a cheat card that states definitions for terminology of the cards. For magic players, its all the same stuff; sacrifice, destroy, discard, draw and control. There's two versions of the game. The "Normal" one, which is NSFW 21+ only due to many, many sex related jokes. The other one, or safe one, is aimed at 14+. It was never meant for ... There’s a lot of people claiming to not understand this game even though they possess a college education…now I won’t get into the particulars of how that’s not a very helpful statement considering the education system in the USA but I will say that by the end of one game my 7 year old was able to grasp the how tos as were the rest of our family and we had a BLAST. Sure we had to reference the rules and kind of question what the heck was going on those first few rounds but once you get it and you have that aha moment it’s ON..play that neigh card, destroy, sacrifice, strategize but don’t you dare touch my baby. You can do this. I promise it’s worth it. Don’t overthink it..go ahead and wing it if you aren’t sure..just HAVE FUN!
A very fun and engaging game that requires you to think strategically. Great for playing with older children and other adults. This game was initially a little hard for us to wrap our heads around, but after just one game we fell in love! It is so fun!The unicorn cards are the plastic-y kind, not paper, so are very flexible and durable, while the instructional rule book is very clear, comprehensive and understandable. The cards also come in a great little box that fits them perfectly. Overall a quality product and great value for money. Our experience with this product has been excellent! Highly recommend and two thumbs up from us!
Initially I thought this would be okay for my family (as we LOVE Exploding Kittens). I watched a few videos to get a handle on how to play. There were a number of references to spells and sacrifices. Then I read in the 2 player rules section that there's a Sadistic Ritual card and I stopped there, packed it up, and returned it. Just not the direction we want to go for family game night. The cards also include "seductive" and "necromancer" unicorns. This is the original/plain version - not the NSFW version. So I can't imagine what would be included in the NSFW version.
A wonderfully stupid game. Easy to learn with great artwork. My 8 year old nephew loves it and would happily play it over and over again. If you liked exploding kittens or anything else like that then you will enjoy this game.
