Sweet fruits and baked goods. That's what I was told this smells like, but not in a bad way. The opening is definitely pineapple and a slightly juicy orange, and it slowly moves into a gingerbread cookie note with vanilla frosting. That's what I get from this. It is pleasant to wear but it is definitely not suitable for warm weather. Once again, another big hit from Valentino. After I received my first Valentino fragrance I bought this one and I’m very glad I did. I saw the key notes that are Mandarin, gingerbread accord, and Cedarwood and I knew I had to try it. The fragrance is balanced by a base of warm, rich vanilla, and has spicy Amber Colon notes with a burst of fresh lavender. I feel like this is a great daytime fragrance and it’s very captivating. Every time I wear it anywhere people stopped me and asked me what I’m wearing. And also my girlfriend really likes to wear it. I would say it’s versatile enough to be unisex.

Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Yellow Dream is a must-try fragrance for those who love sweet and zesty scents. The strong pineapple start immediately uplifts your mood, while the gingery vanilla dry down creates a warm and inviting aura. It's perfect for both casual and formal occasions, and it lasts all day without overpowering your senses. This is a strong spring/summer day scent. Highly recommended if you like sweet, tropical, fruity, but still masculine fragrances!

When I first smelled this in Sephora, I sprayed it on a tester strip and honestly it smelled good but didn’t think much of it at first. I thought you know let me try spraying this on my skin and see how it wears through out the day. By the end of the day I loved it. I KNEW this had to be my next purchase right then and there! Christmas time comes my gf actually ends up buying this for me and it has easily become my favorite out of the Valentino line! It’s definitely the sweetest one but I love sweet! It’s a pineapple, ginger, vanilla scent. Very masculine but I know women love to wear this as well. It’s that good! Out of my collection this is my MOST complimented cologne. It’s sweet but It stills wears nicely and flows through the air during hot and cold seasons.

Do you like sweet fragrances? Then you will live yellow dream. It’s a fragrance with notes like pineapple, vanilla, and Gingerbread! What?? Gingerbread did you say? Yes I did! It’s gourmand, sweet, creamy, and to top it off is great for pretty much any season because the light pineapple makes it a bit fresh. Probably the best fragrance in the born in roma line. It opens with a sweet pineapple with a backdrop of cinnamon and spices and a touch of vanilla. The drydown pulls up the cinnamon and vanilla and gingerbread making for a sweet sugar cookie type fragrance with a touch of pineapple. Very Nice!!

I absolutely LOVE this fragrance! It’s been a staple in my go to fragrances this summer. It has an addictive and delicious smell that I enjoy and garners compliments. Yellow Dream is a warm fragrance, which is one of my favorite kinds, but also stays light, due to its fruity smells, such as pineapple. I highly recommend that you try Yellow Dream, especially if you’re beginning to dip your toes into the gourmand fragrance world and if, like me, you prefer warmer scents, even during the summertime heat.

This scent to my nose is a kind of sweet, gingery , powdery scent! It’s a spring/summer scent . It starts out stronger during its first hour wear time. For me it’s last about 6-7 hours on skin around 8 on clothes. I feel the scent mellows out pretty quick and it isn’t in your face. It’s a great have for any collection that wants something that is masculine but can be unisex and has a sweetness as well as that bold quality that gives it this baked goods kind of fresh ginger, and fruits buried in cedar tree with a little a vanilla.

Upon initial spray I pickup this citrusy cream that is very reminiscent of an orange-vanilla popsicle, but instead of orange the citrus is more of a pineapple. I think the opening is really good and it lasts for about an hour. However, where this scent really starts to shine is in the dry down.After about 60-90 minutes on my skin, the scent leans more towards the cream/vanilla that I mentioned earlier. This dry-down is very sensual and I would say is very mature scent (30+). Personally I think this is one of the most beautiful dry downs I've smelled. This dry down lasts 8+ hours on my skin in mild southern california weather so glad to get my money's worth. If you’re looking for the best stereotypical cologne that can be worn in the spring/summer this is for you. It’s got the traditional bold cologne scent that smells like it would be sprayed on a steamed silk shirt to be worn by a person who has a busy, yet effortlessly beautiful day ahead. Although this is an EDT I can assure you with Valentino you will still be able to smell it like it was the parfum, so the lasting time is ridiculously long. With that being said be careful not to overdo it, although this won’t make you sneeze it can take over the nose and give you a headache. I spray once, let dry and maybe go over it with a sweeter perfume to dull it down a bit and it is a great mixing medium perfume.
