Verbatim 43351 700MB 52x Extra Protection CD-R - 50 Pack Spindle

I've used Verbatim in the past and this review does not condemn the product - it's great. But you have to wrap service, including delivery into the equation. My [walmart.com] search had one list as "Verbatim 700MB 52X CD-R 2 Pack of 50 Disc Cake Box Value Bundle", that is what I ordered. What I received "Included Item:Verbatim CD-R 700MB 52X with Branded Surface - 50pk Spindle - Qty 2 "Two loose missiles, in an over-sized box with a little craft paper that did nothing. The spindle cases (bases) were broken

With the music industry all atwitter about producing CDS anymore, it seems that we die-hard fans of the medium are going to have to start burning our own to satisfy our musical urges. It's a shame that the industry has done this based on what teens are buying. For me Verbatim has always been a favorite brand of software for burning and it's nice to know that the Office Depot still cares about bringing them in. I've never had one disc go bad on me, unless I make the mistake. They are always consistent in the quality they deliver and as long as I can can find them, I will be using them. I'm thinking they may be the last manufacturer of CD-R's out there, but I don't know for sure. I burned a CD with music that I had remastered. At 4x using Real Player, the CD burned each track in 2-3% increments. If you are an audio professional then you must remember - burning a CD is an analogue process. Therefore, you must refer to Land and Pit. (Zeros and Ones as the impressions or grooves the laser makes on the CD). Burning at 16x+ for mp3s is fine, but not .Wav files. I must say - this CD-R was able to illustrate the full extent of my work on a reference level CD player. It outclassed my other CD-Rs with exactly the same data written to them. Buy a dozen of these - or find these exact CD-Rs if you wish to burn high quality CDs.
