All knife products are quality in manufacture and materials. Designs are original and well thought out. I've been using these products for almost 50 (fifty) years. My first full sized one, was when I was around 14 years old, and it was the Fisherman. I loved that knife/tool, and that was a multitool before multitools were cool. I can't say I cried when I lost it, but I thought about it.

I am a fan and collector of Victorinox Swiss Army Knives. Part of the pleasure of owning the Swiss Army Knife for me is how well made they are which can be felt in the opening and closing experience. Unfortunately the Classic SD falls short in this category due to the simple fact that the rough side of the nail file scrapes against the main blade. This makes the opening of the knife an unpleasant experience and also scratches the main blade. If you are a daily user this scraping is a constant reminder of this problem, and if you are a collector you end up damaging a knife you are trying to maintain in pristine condition. This detracts from the ownership experience which otherwise would be excellent as it is with other Victorinox Swiss Army Knives products that do ... This detracts from the ownership experience which otherwise would be excellent as it is with other Victorinox Swiss Army Knives products that do not have this issue. I believe a simple solution would be to turn the nail file around so that the rough side faces outward, but I assume there is a reason this has not been done. I also have a SwissLite model that has a similar configuration with the nail file right next to and facing the main blade but it does not suffer from this issue because there seems to be a very subtle bend engineered into the base of the main blade that keeps it away from the nail file surface when opening. This subtle bend is not present in the Classic SD. Anyway, I hope this review is helpful and it’s only purpose is to try and give constructive feedback for an otherwise outstanding product.

Thank you Victorinox for making the Classic SD in various translucent colors! I added every new color to my collection because the price is super affordable. The Classic SD is an excellent EDC. The small blade is perfect for opening letters and cutting open boxes. I use the scissors often, and the toothpick and tweezers come in handy, too. If you're interested in buying your first SAK, the Classic SD is the perfect starter pocket knife. This is the pocket knife you won't regret buying!

This is my second knife of this kind, it is a perfect sixe for fixing to a keyring I carry to my work which I fix to my trousers. The scissors is especially handy for snipping threads or anything small a large scissors would be too big for. The nail file is an added extra if you catch your nail it's handy to use. All in all a realy handy and useful item.
I have had a number of these exact models over the years and feel like part of me is missing if I don't have one in my pocket. TSA has claimed a couple when I forgot, I have given some to friends, and I have just plain lost a few. I usually buy them a couple at a time so I have a backup. That is how much I depend on them. Usually get Red but got Yellow this time to hopefully cut down the loss issue. I use the scissors and nail file almost daily. I never have to hunt for a knife to open a package. I still have my wisdom teeth with deep gum pockets around them, so the toothpick gets used a few times each day. They are small and unobtrusive in my pocket and I have never had one fail. The closest I have come to having a failure is having to sharpen the knife blade on a couple that managed to stay with me long enough to need that, and that is saying something because they stay sharp. For me, personally, they are perfect for my lifestyle and are a great value.
I use this tool, the Swiss Army knife, every day.Every part of last many year's, except the scissor spring but at least 5 to 6 years. The knife and scissor stay sharp, it seems throughout the knife life. The tooth pick and screw driver are essential, multi-use. The teasers are OK.It is light weight, strong, useful and colorful. It is handy. It is my tool of choice for 40+ years. I carry it in my pocket every day.It is affordable. The price is right ✅️As you can see, I like the Swiss Army knife.
I have a big Victorinox Swiss Army with about 25 tools and it's very nice, good quality, and useful. So I had no problem purchasing these for small jobs like cutting thread, opening an envelope, and so on. The scissors are very helpful for a lot of little tasks; and I do emphasize little. I bought 2 of these: one on the desk, and I put one on my key ring. And on the key ring it is hardly noticeable, being so small and light (2" and .8 oz). So, good quality, useful, light weight, and small but big enough to get a grip on and do something. I consider these as good as, and in many ways, equal to my big one for their purposes. Very cool and I don't hesitate recommending them.
I have carried a escort in dark blue on my key ring for over 23 years, the years have taken their tole, the screwdriver tip has snapped, the scale emblem has fallen off.l lost one of the scale tools, easy to replace. The blade is still great and this has to be a testament to a real great knife. So with some reluctant a old frend is being retired, so looking for a replacement ,as the old knife got beaten up by keys and other key ring nick nacks a case of some type would be great your silicone case looked good.So I bought this orange knife(classic SD Mango Tango) as it comes with scissors a great upgrade and a longer toothpick, also I see the nail file /screwdriver has been changed with a new file surface and screwdriver bevel on the same size giving the back a flat ... Other wise a great knife.
Great knives these classic small ones. I frequently give the as presents. The scissors are really sharp, and useful for Anya task. The toothpicks ( my dentist might cringe !) are a helpful extra to the T stick things / .Sleek, small enough to have in the handbag, I highly recommend.
Bought four of these little classic knives for Christmas presents. I have had one of my own for some years, and everyone always wants to borrow it, so thought they should have their own. Brilliant to have in handbag or purse, so useful for everyday use, the scissors especially useful for opening the sachets of sauce you get with pub grub. Would certainly recommend this product.
