It has two jackknife blades (one long and one short) made out of excellent steel which does not need to be sharpened. It has operational can and bottle openers. (I tested both.) It has tweezers and a nail cleaner. It also has a Phillips head screwdriver and one that can be used on ordinary screws. It is somewhat expensive but of extremely high quality.

This knife is awesome! I didn’t know how much I needed one until I bought one. I have used the Phillips screwdriver at work to install a wall pocket, used the slotted screwdriver to tighten door screws, the knife to open mail, and even the awl to make a hole. The craftsmanship is everything you’d expect from Victorinox at a very reasonable price. I had considered something smaller, but for around the same price I got this which I feel is a better value. It’s a very functional and convenient tool, and came sharp right out of the box. It’s too big for a keychain, so if you don’t want to carry it in your pocket, you’ll have to put it in a belt bag, backpack, or purse. Highly recommend.

My Always Carry
4 May 2024

Except when traveling through security checkpoints, this Victorinox knife is always in my right side pocket. It has been there since 1985, when I got it for myself as a graduation present when I earned my Master’s. It has been used for everything imaginable in real life—used to the point that I have lost the shield emblem on the side, and the split ring has been replaced twice. I got the Tinker because I don’t drink, so the corkscrew on other models is useless, the Phillips screwdriver is used.

Overall high quality
3 July 2023

Machinist by trade and I have always been looking for the best pocket knife multitool. Was spending a lot of time looking at Leatherman style tools, than decided why not give a swiss army knife a try. Worried about quality from knock off ones in my youth I was hesitant and decided to start small with the tinker. Delivered very fast to my surprise but the real treat was how well made this is. Everything is tight and the blades are SHARP. Screwdrivers actually function so well I don't feel the need to just go grab a real screwdriver. On to the finish, very high polish mirror reflection out of the metal. Only tool marks I can even see are on thin edges and I have to squint. Overall very impressed and definitely won't hesitate to upgrade to bigger more exspensive ... MoreMachinist by trade and I have always been looking for the best pocket knife multitool. Perfect function and size
13 May 2024

This is the perfect combination of function and size. This is the knife that goes everywhere, and I use it at least 20 times a day. It's got the philips, the can opener, the toothpick, the leather punch, not to mention two knife blades (the little one for opening boxes, the big one for cutting meat). I would not leave home with out it.

Pocket-sized Perfection
8 May 2019

For me, the whole point of a Swiss Army Knife is to have as many useful tools in as small a package as possible. That excludes models like the Swiss Champ which are too big and the Classic SD which is somewhat lacking. My ideal is a model like the Ranger, with a nice balance of the two factors and can be easily carried in an EDC kit or pocket. However, there are also times when I'll want to scale down my EDC, which includes the knife, and for that I turn to my Tinker (small). It has all the basic essentials, including tools that can be turned to uses other than just what they're described as, in a package small enough to fit my wallet-sized micro-EDC organiser or even any pocket, without being noticed. If only they'd make smartphones this pocket-friendly!It's also ... MoreFor me, the whole point of a Swiss Army Knife is to have as many useful tools in as small a package as possible. Some of the MacGyver fan sites have even done a breakdown of which SAK models are used in which episodes... and the Tinker range are by far the most commonly featured. Embrace your inner fanboy!Build quality is top notch Victorinox quality, as expected - From every possible angle, it's an absolute no-brainer!

You can’t beat an 84 mm Swiss Army knife. Specially this one. Mine is from the 1970’s, with no sewing eye in the awl, no half stop on the cap lifter and it has a can key built into the Phillips screwdriver. But, otherwise, it’s the same as what you get nowadays. And it’s still going. Those two knife blades are pretty much perfect. The larger one it great for foodstuff, peeling fruit and veggies, cutting cheese and whatnot. The small pen blade is like a scalpel! Great for delicate tasks like whittling, modelling, etc. When they finally dull a little bit, it’s as easy as a quick strop on an old leather belt, and it’s shaving sharp again. I love the other tool layer, too. I can open cans, bottles and paint cans, turn screws, bend and strip wires, do light prying and so ... MoreYou can’t beat an 84 mm Swiss Army knife. The backside Phillips driver is perfect for taking apart devices and getting into the average gear. The awl/reamer/punch is an under appreciated tool by many. Drill and ream holes in wood, plastic, leather, etc. Use it as a pick, a scraper, a sewing needle, etc. I’ve even put holes in the lids of my iced tea bottles to make sippy cups so I can stay hydrated in my boat! Such a useful tool. Round all that out with toothpick and tweezers, and you have yourself a good reliable friend that can get you into and out of a lot of situations. Tinker away!

Very Impressed
27 July 2024

I bought the Black and the Sapphire Blue of the medium Tinker model and I am so impressed with the quality so much that two things happened: 1) I ordered the traditional red one so I could have all three colors of this model; 2) I collect knives in general, but for the next few years I am going to focus on collecting nothing but Victorinox Swiss Army Knives and have already purchased a hard shell knife collector case to keep them in. Please continue with the level of quality.
