I am 70 yrs old...DEFINITELY notice the difference in my nails and joints. I've had thumb nails for years now that have continually cracked vertically as soon as they get to the cuticle line and sometimes just below cuticle line..I have recently noticed that both thumb nails are now about an 1/8th inch above cuticle line and no sign of cracking...took a while, but nails grow slowly. ALSO, I have osteo arthritis in all my joints...now, instead of much pain, I get less pain and can walk up and down stairs without knees and ankles hurting...My elbows and hand joint are also much better unless I really over do it (was tiling my daughter's ... MoreHave been adding 1 or 2 tablespoons a day to my coffee for roughly 2 months now. Takes some time to kick in so don't expect immediate results...give it a couple months before evaluating.LASTLY...just a tip about TART CHERRY supplements...I've taken them for years...take them twice a day (easy swallow gelatin coated capsule) am and pm. I never really knew if they really helped, but a couple years ago, I ran out and stopped taking them. After 2-3 weeks I started noticing that my knees ached a lot more, especially coming down stairs first thing in the morning. So I started them up again and about a month later I noticed I wasn't having that problem with my knees anymore. I totally recommend BOTH the collagen powder and tart cherry. (don't know if Sam's sells tart cherry...I'll have to check...I just pick it up at the drug store OTC.) Good Bless/good luck!

I've been using Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides (Unflavored) for several months, and I can confidently say it has become a staple in my daily routine. One of the standout features of this product is its versatility. Since it's unflavored, it easily mixes into just about anything—whether it's my morning coffee, smoothie, or even just water. The fact that it dissolves seamlessly without leaving any lumps or unpleasant texture makes it extremely convenient. In terms of results, I've noticed significant improvements in my skin, hair, and nails. I’m truly amazed at all the people who are complaining about this product, all bc they won’t read, can’t comprehend, or didn’t use basic common sense. The product is sold by weight, it doesn’t matter the size of the container. The container states on the very front that there is no scoop. This is to help with less plastic waste, as you should own a set of measuring spoons as an adult. This company has been completely transparent, yet people are still complaining about things the company clearly states. I just turned 40 and could tell my skin and hair was losing its “life.” I started putting 2 tablespoons of this in my yogurt, breakfast shakes, or smoothie bowls in the morning over the past month and I can honestly say my fine lines are less obvious and my hair looks more full and healthy. I’m my own worst critic, so I use a bunch of high dollar serums and creams in-hopes of fighting off aging, as well as other beauty treatments, but I never notice a difference. This collagen is the only thing I can truly say has helped minimize my fine lines and bring the health back to my hair and nails. This might seem pricey, but it’s pretty cheap compared to all the high dollar serums/creams that I don’t think really does anything.

I can't believe how far this company has slid downhill over the last few years. I've used this product for years and then very happy, for the most part. Now, I just opened my very last container that I will ever purchase. First, you take away the scoop. As if people just have measuring spoons hanging around at the office, if that's where they use the product. So apparently we all need to purchase a set of measuring spoons to keep in the container from now on. If that's not bad enough, you now change the packaging to some sort of cardboard contraption that is near impossible to open. I know that my dad and stepmom with their arthritis would never be able to open this container. I wasn't able to open it simply because I have long nails. I literally had to go to my neighbor's house and have them open it for me! That's ridiculous! Not to mention that on the inner seal there's a disclaimer saying that if you open the product you are agreeing to arbitration and that if you don't agree you should return the product. What kind of nonsense is going on with this company! I'm done. I will be giving their competitors my business in the future.
In the interests of being a responsible reviewer, I'll basically regard writing this review as a public service announcement. Even more vital than the proteins vital to Vital Proteins is the notion of 'scroll further down the same page to get basically the same thing for the equivalent of a quarter of the price'. Presumably Vital Proteins intend these sachets to be a convenient starter pack of their product for you to try, and if you like it, you can go on to buy a tub of their product. A tub of their product ends up quite cost effective compared to the price of the sachets. If this were the only unflavoured bovine collagen powder product available, that kind of approach would be quite lovely. You don't have to spend over forty pounds at first, and if you don't like ... MoreIn the interests of being a responsible reviewer, I'll basically regard writing this review as a public service announcement. A tub of their product ends up quite cost effective compared to the price of the sachets. If this were the only unflavoured bovine collagen powder product available, that kind of approach would be quite lovely. You don't have to spend over forty pounds at first, and if you don't like it you have only spent 15.00. HOWEVER the amount of collagen in the sachets adds up to a total of one hundred grams. Just a little further down the page in my MYSUPPLEMENTSHOP search I found a 450g gram bag of unflavoured collagen powder for basically the same price as the sachets. Therefore, if you want to try collagen powder, buy that. And if you don't get on with it, maybe you can pass it on to a friend. If you try it and you do get on with it, you will have purchased something costing a lot less than half the price of a tub of Vital Proteins collagen for the price of the starter pack from Vital Proteins. That is why this review is headlined by and ends with the words massive rip off.
This product had white shiny chips in it that looked like paint chips. The first time I purchased from a different store it didn’t have shiny white chips. I will not be purchasing the from target again. I don’t feel comfortable consuming it. The one I bought from another store worked great. Before taking it I couldn’t lift my arm over my head because I had a shoulder impingement. Well since taking this the shoulder impingement is gone I can lift my arm over my head I can reach for thing without pain. Skin in smooth but not sure if it’s from the nature made multi her omega 3 gummy’s but I do see a difference in skin. Hair has always been to the middle of my back or longer since I was 2 and in African American 42 yrs now hair is still flourishing. I’ve been taking this product for 2 months consistently now and now I can’t live without it. I recommend it to everybody. It’s a must have mix well in Luke warm or hot drinks room temp or cold drinks doesn’t dissolve will have clumps. The taste is present so would advise to mix it in something with flavor to get rid of the taste

While there was no flavour as such, I could taste the difference. It was like a very weak flavoured gummy sweet. Not horrible, but wouldn't choose to drink it.I also mixed it wrong on my first go. Always add the powder to water, not the other way round as it turns into a very sticky paste - not nice!I feel this would go well in smoothies as it would be blended well in the mixer and less chance of tasting the non flavour.I tried it in pancakes and would recommend this, no additional taste or texture - any excuse for more pancakes!Too soon for any noticeable changes in my skin/nails or hair.
I'm a 64 yr old male who has played guitar the majority of my life. After a couple of months I felt no improvement at all. I then added Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides to the mix. Within 2-3 weeks I started noticing improvement. Along with playing guitar I also repair them and use hand/power tools for those jobs. At around the same 3 week mark, I used some hand tools and a drill for a repair. Afterwards I could feel some pain and stiffness in my hands but it was less than prior to taking this product. 2 days ago (approx. 50 days into taking the Collagen Peptides) I had a home repair that required extensive the use of several hand and power tools. As of this morning, my quads and arms are still sore (from being old!) but my hands are fine!To be fair, I'm still taking the Force Factor supplements at this time. I'm going to stop using them when I run out and see if I'm still free from pain. However I believe the Collagen Peptides are the key to my improvement and will continue taking it regardless.I haven't noticed any changes to my hair or skin but my finger and toenails seem to be growing faster and stronger. I'm sold on this product!
I have been using this product for 2 years and I love the improvement to my skin, hair and nails. However, there have been numerous changes to the vital proteins unflavored powder in the past year. The serving size on 1 container is 1 1/2 tablespoons and another container it is 2 tablespoons. It could be because we have received 2 different size blue scoops. But some packaging no longer contains a scoop. The last container I bought online was called a "beauty formula" with different packaging. The latest container I bought is a totally different formula with the breakout of the amino acid profile. Not sure what the daily requirement is for amino acids, so this labeling didn't mean anuthing to me (why not tout the benefits of the amino acids in your labeling?). This same container had yet a larger white scoop than the other 2 blue scoops I have had in other products, no plastic pull tab, but a foil tamper evident safety seal. In addition, the powder texture is much different, yet mixes well in coffee. The problem is that at the end of the cup of coffee, the last of the coffee is like "sludge" and it tastes awful. I am tired of all of the changes with serving sizes (1 1/2 tbls and 2 tbls), scoops included/not included, different sizes of scoops (20 CC and 25 CC and the white scoop) and formulation changes. I am switching to another brand for my husband and myself.
Vital Proteins Collagen Sachets 10 x 10g Packaging: The collagen comes cardboard boxed with 10 sticks of powder, the sticks are like hot chocolate sized sticks rather than sugar sized sticks. Each sachet has an easy tear section so you don't get the powder everywhere when opening. Collagen Peptides: The powder is unflavoured and has no odour at all. The powder particles are very fine and dusty, the type of particles that leave a dusty cloud once poured in the cup. Taste: When testing and rating edible products I always like to review as they are instead of mixing them with a product or liquid. An example would be testing cereal, I would eat straight from the packet on my first try and this is actually what I did with the collagen powder. The powder had a slight vanilla taste to it, not like ice-cream milkshake flavour but still a hint of it was there on my initial taste test. The powder didn't dissolve immediately in my mouth but neither did it congeal in to huge clumps sticking to my teeth. For anyone who had eaten rice paper before, well that was the type of texture I recall it having, melty in the mouth but also a little and very slight gel texture just the same as rice paper or those flying saucer sweets would do. Very happy with this product, the taste and its texture and easy to dissolve in the mouth too.
