We bought my MIL an Explorian blender and got her all the accessories to go with it. The tamper is a must have and so is the holder for quick accessibility.

Really well designed holder, the cup twists off for easy cleaning without having to lift up the Vitamix.Very easy to attach, just sits below the Vitamix and can be adjusted along the side of the blender base depending on where you keep your blender.Really looks good and professional and means the tamper is always handy rather then being lost in a kitchen drawer!While it is a piece of plastic, if you compare with many other accessories / options you can buy I did not feel it was that excessive in cost, but I do think with he price of the Vitamix this really should be included as part of the kit when you buy it.

I've had my Explorian for about 2 years now and I finally got around to buying this tamper holder. Although I wish it had come included in my original purchase, I have to admit it is satisfying to finally have a neat and organized way of storing the tamper. The piece is easy to attach, feels sturdy enough to last, and works for what it was designed for. It keeps my tamper attached to the Vitamix when not in use, right where it belongs. Satisfied with purchase.
We received this item for Christmas alongside a low profile tamper for the shorter container. Surprisingly, this also fits the 5200 TNC PERFECTLY -- not just the Explorian and G series.It does not, however, attach to the Ascent series. (A different model is available for those machines.)It holds both the short and long tampers for the low profile and standard containers. This helps to prevent the tamper from rolling off the counter onto the floor.
Great handy attachment for my new E310 vitamix Tamper. No more laying it on the bench and leaving a mess, midway using it on the Vitamix blender! Great pairing a must!
If you're not using the tamper when processing in you Explorian blender...cause it's inconveniently stored away from the blender...you are missing out on how well the blender actually works! This holder is inexpensive, fits the Explorian nicely and....most importantly...SOLVES the tamper storage issue!
I bought this holder together with the tamper and the E310 blender for my in-laws. When you like your kitchen organized, like my mother in-law, you will want this tamper. You can grab the tamper in a moments notice. After use, I put the tamper on my chopping board next to the blender and do not stick it back in the holder, for easier clean up.
Design is okay. It’s sticks out a lot further on the side than expected. The constant having to lift the machine to take out the tamper holder to clean is not the best design. Gets the job done as far as holding the tamper though
Fits securely under the base at predetermined locations on either side of the base and keeps the tamper close at hand. Much better than shuffling through the utensil drawer in the morning. Compression fit keeps the tamper snug and you don’t have to fiddle with perfect alignment to get it seat itself. Feels as suitably high quality as the blender. Would definitely recommend.
