I got 3 flats with MaXXis in a week, on different tires. I couldn't believe it! I tried Vittoria tires and absolutely love them. I have replaced all my Maxxis (15) with Vittoria. Love the Mazza to replace DHR and DHF, the BARZO for trail, and Mezza for XC and Trail. My stable is covered by Vittoria. Oh, in two years, no flats. What's that worth in fun and money and reputation, and, and, and....

I used this tire on my back wheel to try and reduce rolling resistance. It worked great for that, but ultimately I was using it for terrain above its pay grade, so I blew it up pretty catastrophically after only about three rides. I was running tubeless with 28 psi and hit a square edged rock in a small chute descent. Cue sealant everywhere and a being able to see my rim bed through the hole in the tread.I would definitely choose this tire again if I were building up an xc or light trail bike for smoother or less rocky trails, but for the rocky trails I like to ride I'm sticking with a DHR.

These tyres are great over most surfaces, including mud and large, loose aggregate. The sidewalls are strong but still give a comfortable ride. I've used these tyres through the winter on mixed, forest trail, and they are holding up extremely well. Also fine on tarmac. Will definitely buy again.

Contrary to previous reviews, I can confirm that the sidewalls on this tire IS paper thin. You can tell it just from the thickness that it’s meant for tubes. In my area where there’s sharp rocks, I would not run them just tubeless by itself. I installed a tire insert with it that allows me to run it flat in an emergency. As with previous reviews, yes you CAN mount these tubeless but the thin walls keep folding in and does not hold its shape well while uninflated, thus hard to seat the bead. Also the bead is almost non existent which makes it more difficult. Using one of those compressed air floor pumps, I had to first dab the bead with sealant then mount it with a tube to seat it. The wheel is perfect for mounting on the front wheel. Communication with the seller is very good. The only thing that took a little longer than what they called me. I think it was because I bought it on the week of Black Friday. I recommend the product
After having ridden several I have been able to verify that they have good quality and good grip in the dry and in the wet. I recommend mounting with a camera and you save yourself a lot of problems due to loss of liquid since they have pores and do not close well, although I have also mounted them without a tube and some have practically lost nothing.
Bought these unsure if they were the TNT casing or not. They are not however they did take to tubeless set up fairly well. I did se a compressor to seat them and it took a few rounds of air to get the bead to seat. Shaved quite a bit of weight from my ride and they are much faster than my previous set up.
This is a great upgrade to the Trek brand that came with my bike.These are great trail tires & really do everything Vittoria claims: rolls amazingly fast, great grip even nice grip in sandy portions. These are more rounded than previous and that creates much more agile turning. Extremely pleased.
Bought the Barzo rigid to replace a worn WTB Trail boss.In comparison the Barzo is lighter, rolls faster and is excellent in the dry.Can loose a bit of traction in the wet (especially on concrete)The 2.25 width measurement Vittoria use is ever so slightly on the thin side (The 2.25 Trailboss is somehow wider than Vittoria at the same specified width)
A great fast rolling tire I use in the front with lots of traction. I've used Vittoria tires for a couple of seasons now tubeless with no failures or issues. Plus, easy to mount.
