Vittoria Corsa Pro TLR Tyre
Smoother, softer is faster. This is especially true for tyres. No matter whether it's Formula 1 or cycling. Since October 2022, riders from Team Jumbo-Visma, Alpecin-Deceuninck, Education First-Easy Post, etc. have regularly won races with a new tyre, even classics like Paris-Roubaix. Because it is smoother and softer than all the others, the new Corsa PRO from Vittoria! With a new vulcanisation process, the Vittoria technicians have managed to create a particularly fine bond between cotton and rubber. It is no secret that a cotton carcass is far superior to nylon in terms of speed and comfort. But reliability has long been a problem. With the new technology, however, Vittoria creates a seamless transition between sidewall and tread, thus ensuring a unique suppleness, unimagined speed, but also better puncture resistance. A protective belt under the tread also contributes to this, as does a reinforcement at the edge of the tyre, which better withstands the high pressure at this point during tubless mounting.

Difficult to fit. Difficult to inflate onto TLR rims. Failed to remain inflated despite the addition of 90ml of sealant. The tyres leaked from the sidewalls so that they tyres would not remain inflated for more than 4 hours after which the pressure reduced to about 15psi. Removed and replaced with another brand.

Bought these a few weeks ago, as a supposed upgrade from my old Corsa G2.0's that lasted around 10,000km with only a handful of punctures, if that. The Corsa Pro's are a completely different story...In the three rides that I've had them on – a total of just over 200km – I have had 4 punctures that have required plugs and several other little nicks that have eventually sealed on their own with the (Silca) sealant. The killer blow was a puncture in the very thin sidewall that resulted in a car ride home after several plugs and even a patch to the inside failed to fix. Maybe it's just bad luck on my side, but I've had almost as many punctures with these in 3 weeks than I have on the same setup with the old tyres in nearly 2 years. When they weren't flat, however, ... Not ridden many a mile on them yet 400miles or so and ill give the the old cliché comment, I stacked up some PR's on them, think It mostly has to do with how compliant they are. I've run the tubed and tubeless and on my Reserve 40/44's they pop on easily, not to easily mind, just enough to make tubeless a stress free affair. Can't comment on longevity but so far there are showing no signs of wear after 3-400miles on very rough Suffolk country lanes They are expensive though but at 70 quid they're just about palatable. Looking forward to the 29mm versions when they're released as they should be tailored more for my rim size. For those that want to know even on the reserves 25.5mm internal rims the vittorias don't fatten up all that much, just over 30mm @ 70psi. by ... I've always liked a higher TPI tire for the comfort, but that sometimes came with a sacrifice in puncture protection, especially here in Southern California where our streets are completely BEAT-UP. I came off multiple sets of the GP 5000 S TR's and the ride feel, and puncture protection are VASTLY better. I had multiple cuts on the GP 5000 S TR's and ZERO on the new Corsa Pro's. I am riding the same routes and putting in the same miles on the Corsa Pro's, they just seem to be less prone to cuts and punctures than the GP 5000 S TR's. So far, I've had ZERO flats with the new Corsa Pro's, and I have two sets, one on my C50 wheels and one on my C36 wheels.Hightly Recommended Tires!
Had the previous Vittoria Corsa version, and was very satisfied with them overall, and somehow Vittoria managed to improve them. These roll so smoothly. Only downside, is that they measure slightly narrow when mounted on my rims. I tried them on 17 & 18.3mm internal diameter rims and they measure at 27.2mm.
Bought these plus a spare pair on sale. First 200 miles in only but they’re outstanding. Roll fast and at 32mm really good on poor surfaced roads. Look great too. Don’t think the walls will hold their colour. But time will tell. Recommended if you can get then at a keen price.
Although these are tubeless tires I mounted with TPU tubes. Mounting was routine similar to my Conti 5000 GP's. I have only about 50 miles on these new tires and they ride smooth. As stated in a different review, they measure narrower than labeled. My 28's measure 27mm on a 19mm rim whereas my Conti's 25mm measured 26.5mm.
Light and fast rolling tyres, only 150 miles in 2 rides but no punctures or issues yet. One of them won’t seat easily on my Hunt carbon rims, so having ,to run a tube in it. They cost significantly less than my normally go to GP5000’s which I get about 6000 miles out of, so we’ll have to see how these last.BikeINN were very good to deal with.
Bought this to replace a set of Vittoria Corsa TLR tyres.Installation on the rims (running tubeless) was much easier than the previous generation Corsa TLR. They seated first time using my Topeak Joeblow booster. So far they are not leaking much air over time when not in use. Normally a few pumps to get the PSI back where I need it before use.Performance wise the Corsa Pro's seem better than the previous Corsa TLRs. Just seem to roll more nicely for a good smooth feeling on the road. Although not near as smooth and fast as the Corsa Speed tyres! (These are not durable however so not recommended - only for time trials)The killer feature though is the puncture resistance. 500km in and no cuts or puncture holes at all yet. (Fingers crossed this continues)They ...
