Vornado 560 Medium Whole Room Air Circulator Fan, Black

This is the second Vornado table fan that I have purchased for myself. Vornado claims that you can keep your air-conditioning set higher as the fan does such a great job and it is true. The fan works incredibly well. I have even given them as gifts to my family members. The fan is reasonably quiet, and the medium size version is a great size for a desk or side table. If you need a fan, I definitely suggest this one and give it 5 stars!

Glad this was available in white. Bought it to replace two other Vornado fans that I had given (were appropriated by!) to two relatives. Surprised, pleasantly, that this model had a remote control option included. Will continue to manually control, though. Compact yet delivers the circulation as advertised. Use it to augment my AC, so I can get a 65 degree "feel" pretty much anywhere in the living room from an AC set at 73 degrees! My big golden retriever sleeps in the breeze!

Great compact air circulator!

I am really enjoying my Vornado Medium Air Circulator. Taking it out of the box I immediately noticed the quality of the fan and how sturdy it was. I like that it is compact and I am extremely impressed with how powerful it is. There are four different settings and the controls are push buttons. At the two lower settings the fan isn't very loud, but at the highest settings I find the fan to be some what loud. Not a rattling noise but just the powerful blow of the fan. It's very compact and fits nicely on my dresser and I love the all black finish, it just looks modern, and not like your typical table top fan. I've never owned a fan as powerful as the Vornado Medium Air Circulator, and I would definitely recommend this circulator to anyone looking to buy a powerful ... MoreI am really enjoying my Vornado Medium Air Circulator. Let There Be Air!!

Compared to other fans I've purchased/owned, this fan has superseded my expectations! Despite being a little more costly, it's a high quality fan that really does circulate air throughout the entirety of a room. There are a total four fan speeds and even on the lowest setting, and despite furniture seemingly blocking direct air flow, I continue to feel a nice breeze. I've kept my fan downstairs next to an air-conditioning vent in our main living area. This really helps circulate our air conditioning downstairs and allows us to increase our thermostat by a couple degrees without sacrificing comfortability. While the highest fan speed setting is a bit louder, I tend to use this setting when I'm not present in the room, and upon returning, I simply knock it down to a ... MoreCompared to other fans I've purchased/owned, this fan has superseded my expectations! Love this fan!

I was a little bit skeptical when opening the box of this air circulator, I assumed that this fan would be like others that I have tried before to no avail. I really was not expecting much at all of this air circulator but I was plesently surprised. From the moment that I plugged it in, I was amazed at the quality. I plugged the fan in and faced it up at the ceiling in my dining room, and I nearly immediately heard from the living room my roommate complaining that I was blowing cold air at him even though I had the fan faced straight in the air. Even though I only had it on high for a few moments, the air in both rooms was spinning around and had a fresh breeze through the whole area. Even though I only had it on high for a few moments, the air in both rooms was spinning around and had a fresh breeze through the whole area. It was really incredible, I then plugged the fan back in in my living room near the heater, again i assumed that the air circulator really wouldnt work that well to spread heat around and I tried the air circulator first on the low setting then the high setting. It worked a small amount on the low setting, spreading a small amount of warm air around the room but mostly cold. On the high setting, the fan blew around a lot of air but not that warm at all. Mostly it just blew cold air around. I also tried this to see how fast this air circulator could cool off the room. So I opened up my living room window and placed the fan on the sill, turned off our heater and turned the fan on high, within two minutes the whole house was cold, not just the living room. I cannot wait to use this on hot summer days with my air conditioner and enjoy the whole house being nice and ice cold. All in all though, I gave this the highest rating because it definitely earned it. Well worth the money, definitely should consider this product if you are looking for a very powerful fan.

Much better than my box fan

My definitive review will need to wait for sweltering days, which my city has been spared so far this summer, but for the 80s it's done the trick. My box fan was powerful but didn't cool the entire room. Plus it dried my eyes out. The Vornado 560 has been a pleasure. It's quiet, powerful, and highly adjustable. I should have bought one years ago. For me, it's been worth the money.

Not An Ordinary Fan !

I gave it to my sister for a combination Birthday and Christmas gift. We both opened the box, and upon seeing it for the first , I will admit that I was not impressed . Too light weight and waay too small I thought. My sister moved across the room from where we were seated, and asked me to turn the unit on. We got caught up in a conversation , and within a few short minute's ,she stated that the air around her had changed and that she was feeling cool air rising and circulating around her. The unit was not aimed her way, I would like to add ! This is a very unique , not your ordinary fan .

Really nice design, quiet fan

The Vornado medium air circulator came to me at a perfect time. Our air conditioner had been on the fritz and with the circulator, we were able to keep the temperatures in the living areas down. This circulator is a very nice design with a stable base. It's very quiet on the lowest setting, and still powerful enough to cool a room. The higher settings are amazing with how powerful it is. The only con is that I wish it turned on to the lowest setting. It is a bit abrupt to turn it on to the powerful blast of air, even though it's the medium setting. I wish it would oscillate too, but that's okay. Overall, great product and would definitely recommend.

This is an amazing product!

The Vornado air circulator is simply amazing! It cools my rooms without getting in the way or being extremely loud. I have used it in place of my air conditioner, and the room actually gets cooler while using the air circulator. I like that the circulator is adjustable and that I can point it any direction that I choose. I do have to say that the air circulator is better than my air conditioner as of this moment and I would buy one for each room in my home. I sadly was not aware of this air circulator before participating in the program and have to say it upsets me as the product is great! I would definitely recommend this product to those who live in smaller homes, those who do not want to run their air conditioner all the time, and those who are looking for an air ... MoreThe Vornado air circulator is simply amazing! This is a great product and I am in love with it and the fact that it is saving me money as I am not constantly running my air conditioner as I am in Texas where it gets very hot.

good power and quiet

I bought the 560 for my home office and am happy with it, since it's still more than powerful enough--I usually keep it on a low setting--and yet it's also quieter than the other models I've owned, and on the lower settings, it's not disruptive to my many work calls. I've generally been buying and using the 660-level fans from Vornado, figuring that even with smaller rooms, it's good to have that large capacity to circulate air. But now I realize that the medium-sized fan is plenty, especially because the larger fans can be a bit more distracting with their noise, even if they are still quiet compared with other conventional fans. Although I've had the 560 for only a month or so, my other Vornado fans (including a gray model that's no longer being sold) have lasted ... MoreI bought the 560 for my home office and am happy with it, since it's still more than powerful enough--I usually keep it on a low setting--and yet it's also quieter than the other models I've owned, and on the lower settings, it's not disruptive to my many work calls.
