Wahl Ultimate Competition Blade Set, 5

I am very disappointed in the quality that I received my products. I ordered Wahl competition Series black blades. I got a #10 #15 #30 #4F #5F #7F. I received them and proceeded to try to use the 7F on my personal dog to make sure it worked. With the first swipe it started pulling hair. I thought it was maybe just the 7F so i tried the 5F, same problem. I tried the 30 on his paws and it wouldn't cut. I thought okay maybe it's the oil on the blades because they were all very oily out of the package. I cleaned them in my ultrasonic cleaner to remove the oil and I was absolutely DISGUSTED at the filthiness of the water. I cleaned them 3 separate times after that until the water was finally clean. And if they weren't used they most have been dropped in a mud hole and then packaged. I do have pictures as proof. I'm very disappointed.

Best upgrade!!

We are so glad that we decided to buy this blade! We'd been using the regular Wahl #10 for years but decided that we needed one to alternate with because it would get so hot after 20 minutes or so. When we tried this one we were amazed! Not only did it not retain heat as much as the one we'd been used to, but it was WAY faster at cutting hair too! We are so glad we found it that we ordered another one! Anything to make the dog grooming experience faster for us - we have a Shitsu and we like to keep her hair cut shorter which means we are grooming her every 4-6 weeks. Anyways, we are very happy with this blade!

Came in Dull, breaks easily

I'm a dog groomer and have been using wahl products. However their 30 blades seem to break very quickly. This one specifically came in extremely dull and I was not able to use on my clients. This was the 4th 30 blade in a month that I've bought from Wahl. I had hope that. maybe this one would be best but they proved me wrong .

I body clip professionally and this blade cuts so much easier. It also stays a lot cooler than my other blades. I will definitely be purchasing more of these.

Does not clip well at all.

I've been clipping horses for awhile now, and groom dogs. I'm a HUGE fan of Wahl products, my favorite is the KM10 Clipper. I was extremely unhappy with this product. While it does stay cool, it does not cut through the coat at all. I thought my clippers may have broke and switched out the blade to a normal blade (not the ultimate competition blade) and was able to cut through the coat no problem. After reading about this it seems it is a common issue, hopefully Wahl will fix this? I do like the idea that it stays cool, but would actually be helpful if the product worked.

High n Tight

I use this wide clipper attachment on myself NOT my dog to give my hair a clean, broad 1/16" buzz to the side and back of head. The regular-sized heads would not work for me during a do it myself haircut. I left tracks at the fade line but this wide blade keeps me from my own lack of skill. I just wack off the sides and back leaving the top much longer but it actually looks pretty decent for a hack like myself.

I would buy this again

I use this blade on my schnauzers and it is great! I have two kinds of hair that I am working with one is almost like a poodle and one is super fine neither are like the schnauzers I have had in the past so I was trying some different blades. The black med/fine 10 is the one that works best, and on both dogs.

Used to always buy Wahl blades but this will be my last one. Blunt after a couple of uses. Very disappointing

Works Amazing!

I was frustrated about a couple weeks ago when I was yet again trying to cut my dogs hair with these clippers that I spent a lot of money on and that didn't cut his hair. Two hours to just cut around his head and I knew the rest of him would be at-least another 4-6 hours at that rate as previous experience had taught me. I was gonna chuck the clippers then decided to do some research. I was using a #10 and my dog needed this #5 skip tooth. Bought it yesterday, arrived this morning and I immediately tried it. All I can say is wow! One drag down his back and the hair flew off. The super matted areas took longer but I would say it took an hour more to finish him with this blade rather than 5-6 hours with the other.
