Grab a whole free-range chicken (or two), a lemon, a nob of garlic, a few spices, some olive oil - minimal preparation, just pop it on the rotisserie for an easy, spectacular, and incredibly succulent and delicious meal. We thought the rotisserie would be a nice-to-have extra, but we are using it even more than the barbecue's grill plate! Recommended.

I bought this a month ago and have so far used it to cook 2 XL Chickens (at once) and a bonelss pork boneless lamb roast (at the same time). I used the indirect fired method as per normal roasting...but the spit just allows for awesome even cooking all around and they were some of the best roast I have have ever cooked in the Weber. The motor work flawlessly even with the double large chickens and the other components are quality. Would love a second set of forks to help cook two roasts at once...but it all work fine with only 2. I can definitely recommend if you have a weber and don't want to get a separate spit roaster.

Great addition to the charcoal kettle!!! From chicken to pork loin roast with crackling skin! Makes it all a fun and easy to deal with and no mess to clean inside the kitchen. Definitely recommend for anyone using a charcoal kettle.

Amazing quality. My old rotisserie (not a Weber but for a bullet smoker) would fall off its bracket and cause all sorts of grief. The Weber one is second to none. No babysitting. No dramas. I cooked a whole chicken and a loin of pork together and the results were spectacular. I’ve never had better crackling results for so little effort. Amazing!
I had been tossing up for months whether to buy a standalone spit roaster/rotisserie or not and then came a cross the Weber rotisserie option. IMO it is overpriced but it is a versatile piece of BBQing kit. I used it to cooked 2 chickens on Christmas day - they were done to absolute perfection! Next up, I am doing a Greek-style lamb... cannot wait. I tried to add a photo to this post but it failed :-(
The only disappointing thing about this is the two prongs instead of four prongs (forks). I would love to know why the developers didn't use four prongs. Two just doesn't keep most foods secure enough and cause uneven turning and bits of meat to fall or dangle
This went straight onto my weber kettle. Easy to set up, easy to use. First cook was a rolled pork roast. Used a water pan to keep moisture in. Meat was tender while the crackling crispy. Easy to clean. Did a whole turkey using this. It was fantastic. Would recommend this to anyone.
I agree with those who are disappointed (see reviews on Amazon), where the chief complaint is lack of depth between the rotisserie bar and the flavorizer below. The distance from the bar to the flavorizers is only 100mm (4"). In fact this is a serious design fault as the rotisserie cannot accommodate large cuts of meat or poultry. The ideal depth between rotisserie bar and flavorizer would be 175mm (7") to 200mm (8"). In all other aspects I've found the Genesis 2 to be a very good BBQ. It is unfortunate that this has been a problem since at least 2018 (see reviews), yet no change by Weber to address this.
I can't phrase Weber enough, the Rotisserie is a top quality product, easy to use and the results are amazing, I have cooked chicken, pork and beef and all have been perfect, cooked evenly throughout and so juicy.I would also like to comment on Weber's outstanding service, products ordered online are delivered within a few days of placing the order and free postage, you can't get better than that, thanks Weber.
I have a rotisserie on my Summit and whilst it is good - you can’t beat charcoal for flavour - this delivers! Overall I have found this one is easier to manage - the wooden handle makes it easier to lift off (the Summit you need gloves) & as it is a bit smaller it is easier to handle. Overall really happy with the purchase - it’s had a good work out - at least twice a week - we cook all meat outside on the Weber’s
