Wellness Core Grain Free Wild Game Dry Dog Food 10kg

Our dog usually likes to try new bags of food. Unfortunately, this was not one of the cases. She sniffed it once and refused to eat it. Had to coax her to eat a few pebbles but she just chewed them in half and left them on the floor. The expiration date still has a few months left in it and it doesn't smell rancid. Will probably have to see if I can give it to someone else who has a dog who might enjoy it. I'm not sure why she doesn't like this since she usually likes gamey food.The pebbles themselves are triangular in shape and not flat. It seems to be crunchy and very crumbly from what I can tell from the few half pieces on the floor

I usually buy Wellness Core turkey flavor but tried this game one for a change of pace for my 70 pound dog. He loved it but ever since he started eating it, he has been throwing up. I mean literally throwing up anything he eats now immediately after eating. I will be watching him for the next day or so. I don't know if it's the food or not at this point but that is the only different he has had. Update: My dog has gotten better. The vomiting lasted a couple of days but he seems fine now. I can only assume it was a coincidence that I had changed dog food. He does seem to love the new flavor.

My 3 year old Great Dane has a chicken allergy, so finding a food that agrees with his sensitive tummy has been a definite struggle. He has been on the same brand food for about 2 years now, which has regulated his digestive issues. I have to admit, I was nervous to try the Wellness Core Rawrev. I didn’t want to go back to the awful stomach issues again. But I gave it a shot — and I am so glad I did! As soon as the bag came in, my dog was sniffing it like a mad man. I slowly began introducing it to him by mixing it with his normal food. He’s typically been a grazer - eat casually when he wants - but with this stuff, he gobbles it down. He LOVES IT! I received 4lbs of this to review it on Influenster. I didn't want to review it until my dog finished it all, but I can say that he loved it! My dog (American Staffordshire Terrier) has allergies to chicken and turkey. Because this food has duck in it listed as the first ingredient, I thought he might have a reaction to it, but he didn't! I'm thinking this might be because this is game and not poultry treated with all the things livestock are subjected to, but who knows? The important thing is he can eat it and without issues. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of protein in this food. So much of the freeze dried raw meat! I usually have to top off his food with some kind of flavor gravy or stock so he's eager to eat it, but he could hardly wait to eat this without me having to tempt him with any toppers. His coat still looks shiny and pretty, and he hasn't been itchy at all, so we'll definitely be purchasing a larger bag of this and see how he fares with about a month's worth.

The only thing that my picky Husky will touch!! He LOVES the freeze dried bits too! Have been feeding him this for years and his coat is silky and beautiful. Floyd is naturally skinny and hard to keep weight on him, but this does a great job of keeping him looking fit and healthy! Only downside is that I’ve only been able to find 10lb bags of it at my local Petco and/or PetSmart. With a highly active dog, I can go through bags pretty quickly. I would recommend advertising the bigger bags more. With it being a pricier brand of dog food, it would save me some money from getting more for my buck. But overall, I’m a fan of this brand and it’s quality dog food!

Super excited that I received dog food in my voxbox complimentary from imfluenster. At first I thought “oh great” when I saw it was dog food since my dog is beyond picky about her dry food. Needless to say, her first opinion of it was very positive. I will update next week if she’s gotten sick of it yet though. I like that it is “raw” and “high protein”. That fits my 100lb Rottweilers needs. I would buy this product but unfortunately I am completely against grain free foods after doing lots of research of the effects it has on animals. Maybe they make a grain option?? If so I’d buy it. Another huge plus was that it is a resealable bag!!!

Best food for my dog.

I have an American Tundra Shepherd and have tried many different foods. I came across this brand at petsmart and tried it. He has been devouring it everytime we gets it. Thank you all for offering such an incredible product.

Change in kibble size!?!?

This was the only food my dog would eat. The size has always been perfect and he loves the taste. The last bag I received has bigger kibble and now he will not eat it without being hovered over and encourage to finish?? Why Wellness?!?! Why!?!?!?

Dingoes loved it, & didn't even have to catch it!

At the WA Dingo Association we try and feed as close to an ancestral diet at we can for the Dingoes This includes raw foods and meaty bones along with good quality natural grain free kibble as a large portion of their diet. We have been feeding the Wellness CORE Ocean Fish for a while and the Dingbats all love that! To add some variety, we decided the to try Wild Game recipe as well. OMG, they went NUTZ for it. 🐕🐕🐕 Dingoes are rarely food motivated, but they got totally excited with this formula. Opening the bag, you could smell the meat content, so could they obviously. Nice to be able to add another variety to their diet that comes as close to ancestral feeding as you can get without having to go full Bear Grylls. I don't feed kibble to my pets as a staple food, it's a back up for emergencies and morning topper. They are raw-fed, but I grabbed this brand after checking out the ingredients and details of the product and thought I would give it a go, When it arrived my dogs could smell it in the box and almost ripped the box apart to get to it. I never seen them sniff so hard like they did with this food. It's only been a few days but they love it and the size of the kibble is so much better then the last brand I tried, Great size and shape for larger dogs like my boxer and bulldog. So far I recommend this product.
