Sonny and I have really enjoyed this class and especially our amazing instructor Zander. We are learning how to create a safe mat space for Sonny to go to when he needs to chill out. I really like the esay step by step homework. The added benefit is the bond Sonny and I have from spending this time together. Zander is so patient, so kind and so knowledgeable. Zander makes us want to sign up for more classes because we trust his guidance and look forward to learning more about how to be better dog parents. Thank you Zander!

Our "one-on-one" with Kayleen was the second one we have attended, with different skills worked on each time. Our 5 month old puppy needs to learn to not enthusiastically jump on people or other animals when he's happy to see them, especially since at times this includes a gentle bite for attention. That would be acceptable with animals we already know are fine with this kind of play but is absolutely not okay with young children. Kayleen gave our pup her attention and practice, and gave us tips and an opportunity to try them during our session. She's great to work with, and seems to understand what both the animal and the owners need to hear to best get the ideas to work.

The trainer was nice and flexible with scheduling. He was almost 10 minutes late. The facility was dirty. There was a dead cricket in the floor that my dog almost ate. He did eat a piece of scrap paper that was in the floor. The station used for clean up was super dusty. We spent the first 20 minutes or so sitting in the floor with the trainer just giving our dog treats. I would have liked some communication around this like “what we are doing to do is give him some time to just get used to me” or something but instead we all just sat there. I just felt there could have been more communication during the visit about what we could be doing and what the trainer was doing even if it was just “ok so now I’m going to try to pet him or hold him”. He did give good explanations about what next steps would look like in future trainings. The main reason for the low score is the lack of cleanliness of the facility which is not the trainers fault.

The employee was very kind! Thankfully, she has dogs and knows all the basic things we know. We did NOT have a certified trainer as was advertised for the class. The corner we were put in for the class was disgusting. Disgusting. I saw three bugs. (Our puppy ate one bug.) There was trash all over the floor. It couldn't even be swept before we had our "private lesson with a certified trainer." I need more than 2-3 sentences to complain about it and ask for a REFUND. The store had plenty of notice we were coming. They freaked out when we arrived and did the best they could with what they had and we do appreciate that. However, stop advertise certified dog trainers when your company doesn't provide them. Will never go back.
Ashley was wonderful. Went in for Whiskey hoping to help his focus and anxiety. She was incredibly patient, understanding, nonjudgmental, and insightful. Learning that my dog needs to develop confidence on his own (apart from his fur brother) has been a pivotal point. Now that I know *what* to work on, he's already made great strides. Hes mastered "Go Find" with the cones and loves trying to show his brother how it's done at home. Very grateful for the direction she put us on.
Janice is awesome! Lady loves her and I’m so pleased with all we’re learning! Lady and I definitely needed more structure/training. Janice has taught me so much and Lady is really progressing the last few weeks. I was really struggling with our daily walks. While, Lady still has a little ways to go, out walks have completely turned around. She’s definitely consistence since our first session. She’s also learned more “tricks” and hand signals and she’s doing so well with learning patience!
Nancy is a phenomenal, intutive & intelligent trainer. I thought it would be "work" to teach my energetic pointer to settle down. I was (am) amazed at Nancy's wizardry with my strong willed puppy. However, I marveled at how readily my puppy responded to Nancy's cues. I was delighted that when I followed Nancy's example, I was able to elicit the same behaviors using only body language and treats. The dreaded but necessary puppy class was a positive learning experience. Nancy is beyond excellent in her field of dog training! I will continue with ongoing classes so that my puppy will learn not to pester myself and others with jumping and bossy barking behaviors etc.
Paid for an individual class which allows the trainer to evaluate your dog on a one on one basis. The class wasn’t for 3 weeks since that’s what worked best for us. I received an email from the trainer to call her, as I input my cell incorrectly. We have played phone tag and I have left a detailed message for her asking what she is calling about and asking if she’d please leave a detailed message so I know what she needs BEFORE the class starts. Now I’ve discovered that the private class is at my own location - nothing on the website suggested this and I don’t think that’s goi g to work for us. I’m disappointed, as I thought I had found what I needed but looks like I have to start over again finding a trainer to evaluate our new rescue.
Courtney was fantastic. In a short amount of time she was able to show us all the basics and she was so calm with my girl. She was prepared and on time and had all the advice you could want in a 101 class. My rescue pup is rowdy so we both agreed that that space is not suited for her training needs. The wall made her nervous since she could hear and smell lots of things going on the other side, but not see unless she put her front paws on the barrier. She is also not fond of other dogs yet so that was a challenge when they walked by. However, I didn't like the space even if she was better behaved. Anyone can walk by and see what you're doing and distract the lesson.Overall I would definitely recommend if your dog isn't easily distracted!
Our dogs love these treats and will sit down to gnaw on them. They keep coming back for more so we do use them sparingly. They also hold together well and smell pretty good. I would recommend these for any pet parent looking to add to their dogs diet.
