I bought this washing machine a month ago. Although it doesn't appear to much bigger than the average machine it fits a lot! Good for big families. I do notice that my clothes come out quite tangled. I also wonder if that is wearing out certain items of clothes more often, though that is probably due to me not using the delicate function enough. Beware if you are short, it can be a stretch to reach the bottom of the barrel. I'm almost 5 4" and struggle. Over all I would say I'm happy with my purchase.

A very good washing machine. It looks complicated to operate with it's features but just read the manual first & use common sense. Most people just turn the machine on thinking that they know how it works & complain that it's not working properly or it's too hard but read and know your machine first. It also is a nice size and not as bulky as I have had a smaller machine but it's overall size was bigger. It also has wheels so that it can be tilted to be moved for cleaning. And there is a routine pump drainage maintenance feature at the back that needs to be done every so often to prolong the life of the machine. It is also an Australian made product a big plus.

I am very happy with this purchase. A large 10kg tub with no centre spindle to take up space. Simple to operate and does the smallest load to the biggest. Quiet and takes up less space in my laundry

When the spin function on my F&P machine broke, I was given the opportunity to either get it fixed or get my money back under Product Care. (She was only 26 months old. So glad I had Product Care) I’d always had F&P machines but they aren’t what they used to be and after doing some research, I decided to get my money back and buy the Whirlpool 10kg top load washing machine. I certainly made the right decision. I love how the Whirlpool doesn’t have the agitator pole in the middle of the tub. There’s so much more room in the tub without it. I love the ultrasonic function. It really tosses the clothes around giving them a better clean. The lint remover is easy to reach and works great. I no longer have fluff on my black work pants. I had high hopes but sadly had to return the machine, too many buttons to push and felt we needed a Uni degree to understand how to use. Very disappointed in the performance, kept stopping, couldn't work out how to set up programming, prefer automatic selection which was still hard to work out. it also knotted every item of clothing together so spent too much time untangling and was worried about the damage it would cause. HN were fantastic in helping switch the machine over to another brand.
Bought tbis over a year a go, nothing but problems. Washing cycle operates longer than selected cycle as Machine stops between wash and spin cycle for sometimes up to 15 mins. Clothes come out of wash cycle saturated despite being spun out multiple times. Whirlpool are aware of issues, their maintence company often respond with "It's not bad if you have to wait only 5 mins between cycles", they have a terrible warranty and are not likely to replace machine, currently waiting for product care warranty to kick in so I can hopefully have a better response. Avoid at all costs!
Original purchase failed in 6 months, then several Service calls before machine was replaced. Second brand new machine began having problems in 4 months and now The refuse To service it. The agitation sim poor, machine extremely noisy, and after sales service is limited.
I up graded to a 10kg and going on the reviews, this model was pretty good. Wrong!! First few months of use, it started leaking from the front that the bottoms. Called for repair, nothing! Then I had an EA error pop up and also couldn’t get it repaired and no replacements available from manufacturer who are hard to deal with. Save your money.
Having bought this washing machine on Harvey Norman's reviews, but now I know, don't believe what you read. Also, the reviews from Canstarblue were not with any substance either. I thought that a lint filter should be accessible for the purpose of cleaning. Well, in this case there is one that is at the rear bottom left hand corner, which you need to move the machine forward to gain access. Having done that be prepared to mop up the 1-2 litres of water that gushes out of the hole. Well apart from that the machine works as per instructions, but beware the rinse cycle can be a touch over use on the water. But you can override this function manually.
