Woolworths Lemon Poppyseed Muffins 4 Pack

OMG Amazing! These muffins are probably the best that I've tasted. I thought I'll just have a quick taste but not eat all of it because I'm trying to be good in the hopes of dropping a few kgs before the holidays. BUT, I couldn't stop at just a taste, I had to devour the whole muffin. I already love lemony recipes and especially lemon curd but I didn't realise these had lemon curd inside so that was a nice surprise and oh so delicious. The poppyseed flavour was perfect and overall the muffins were moist and the crumble and icing topping just added more decadence these the muffins. For $7, I think that's a bargain considering the size of each muffin. Going to take the other 3 over for my Dad today to avoid eating them all myself.

Majority rules - great flavour. A little mixed in our household. Hubby and son really enjoyed them and gave a solid 4 star rating. They both said good flavour. I have always liked the plain muffins, particularly the blueberry but haven't had one of those in a while. This lemon one, lemon being something I always enjoy, felt just a little too sweet with the crumble and icing on top. I typically love the top of a muffin and eat that last ... but was a little disappointed in this one. I probably would have said 3. 5 stars but majority rules and hence I gave the 4 star rating from my boys. I would probably buy these again on occasion if I felt like a lemony treat and needed the boost of sugar.

Yummy. I actually bought these muffins at full price. They come in a transparent crush resistant pack that keeps them well on the trip home. They were lovely and fresh. They have a yummy lemon flavour with a blob of lemon curb in the centre which did actually make their bottoms a little wet, so I deducted one star for this reason. The white chocolate icing drizzled over the top added to the pleasure of eating one of these. The poppy seeds are visible but didn't add much to the overall flavour. Each muffin is in a paper wrap similar to a cafe bought muffin. They do look impressive and if you were served one in a cafe you would probably be quite happy. At least that means they are fresh if you buy them the day that they are put out on the shelves. i bought these on 1st Feb and they had a use by day of 10th Feb. So I would not want to buy them any later than that because after 10 days their bottoms will be well and truly soggy and wet, I would think!Made in Australia from at least 83% Australian ingredients. Price was $7. 50 for the pack of four muffins. Sounds expensive but at about $1. 87 each for a cafe style muffin the price is not too bad. Still these will not be a regular purchase for us but I would buy again if looking to spurge on a treat once in a while.

Enjoyed it. This is one of the few muffins I actually enjoyed without feeling unhealthy. However, I scraped off most of the white chocolate icing since I found them too sweet. I liked the 'delicate lemon flavour' as described, and the addition of poppyseeds. Despite being frozen, the muffins were moist, so were not crumbly. I heated mine for 10 seconds in the microwave and it tasted fresh as if newly baked. My adult daughter and teenage grandson ate theirs as is and liked it, including the icing. The $7. 50 price is more expensive than what it used to be so might not purchase it until it goes on sale.

Yum! These were easy to find in the bakery section. We have actually bought these before, when our preferred Raspberry and White Chocolate Muffins were out of stock. We love those, but these are a very close second!These were moist and delicious, and the lemon curd in the centre cuts through the sweetness with its tangy flavour. These are very good muffins and we much prefer these and the Raspberry ones to many much more expensive bakery brands. We had these with a coffee, they are a decent size and really half a muffin is plenty for me. So at $7. 50 for 4 muffins these are good value. Made in Australia from at least 83% Australian ingredients, and the plastic pack and cardboard sleeve are recyclable. We will definitely be buying these again!

Delicious treat. These loaded muffins are really delicious. They are moist with a lovely dollop of lemon curd in the centre. The poppy seeds add a nice texture throughout. The topping of crumble and white chocolate drizzle balances the sweetness pefectly. The muffins are made in Australia from at least 83% Australian ingredients. They have been frozen and thawed in store, but keep well for several days in the fridge. They can be found in the bakery section of the store. At $7. 50 for a pack of 4 they are reasonably priced for a quality product. They are a generous size and can be cut in half to share for a smaller treat. I would happily purchase these again.

Fabulous muffins. These were easy to find in the bakery section. Great value at $7. 50 for 4 muffins. ✔️Made in Australia from 83% Aussie ingredients. ✔️No artificial colours or flavours ✔️, but there is a long list of ingredients. The packaging is recyclable. ✔️The pack resealed well keeping the muffins fresh. ✔️My husband and I shared 1 muffin after dinner, we were both surprised at how good it was. It was moist, light in texture had a nice tangy curd centre, a nice crunch in the crumle top and poppy seeds throughout and a slight sweetness from the white chocolate drizzle. You could taste the lemon through the muffin too which was good. ✔️My husband enjoyed the muffin so much he had a second one. ✔️le would purchase again and recommend others try them.

I have purchased these once before and just didn’t take to them so when I got these as a sample I decided to give them another go and to also get my adult son (21) a chance to try and give me feedback. So firstly they came in nice wrappers in a plastic muffin box so they stay nice during transport. They are promoted as a fully loaded lemon and poppy seed muffin filled with lemon curd. The bottom half of the muffin is where the lemon curd is and there is just something not quite right. The lemon curd is actually quite nice on its own but with the muffin it doesn’t work. The muffin actually feels a bit stale when in your mouth. TThere are enough poppy seeds for the muffin but I’m not getting the delicate lemon flavour that is promoted. When you eat the muffin, the crumble and white chocolate together it is just too much. Too much cake, too much crumble, too much everything really. I am a big food fan and I love baking but these don’t work for me. It’s like they decided how much stuff can we put on one poor muffin. My son felt the same way. Definitely won’t be buying these again. At $7. 50 for 4 muffins I expect quality as well as a bit larger size. These are more the size of a patty cake than a muffin. Something I don’t really take much notice of is the ingredient list as I don’t have allergies, etc however this list caught my eye because it is huge. No artificial colours or flavours. The first bite was incredible, there is a lovely balance of lemon and poppyseed flavour, and the drizzle of white chocolate icing mixed with crumble just tops it off nicely.
