This product is an absolute winner. Woolworths pastas will continue to appear in my shopping trolley!

Perfect Pasta. I found this 500 gram bag of macaroni in the pasta aisle, it was located on the highest shelf and displayed in a torn box... definitely not the most enticing looking display I have ever seen. I think this great product, along with the other Woolworths varieties of pasta, need better merchandising because at the moment they lack any visual appeal. The packaging itself is attractive bearing the colours of the Italian flag and there’s even a recipe for a delicious looking macaroni dish. It also displays easy to follow cooking directions and the handy clear section allows a view of the pasta. The only information missing was whether the packet was recyclable, hopefully it’s able to go in the soft plastic recycling bin in store. I love the versatility of ... MorePerfect Pasta. I love the versatility of this macaroni, it can used in soups, casseroles & salads, and can even be used raw for craft purposes. On opening the packet I found all the macaroni was unbroken and uniform in size, it cooked perfectly in 8 minutes as per the instructions, held it’s shape and stayed firm. I made a tasty Beef and Pork Meatball Pasta Bake with the macaroni and happily found no difference in taste or quality to my usual brand, San Remo. I can’t find fault with this Woolworths Macaroni that’s made from 100% Australian wheat, contains nothing artificial, has a 4. 5 Health Star rating and only costs $1. 00. This versatile pasta, along with the other Woolworths varieties, will definitely be an absolute must have for me as a pantry staple from now on... love it.

Great Pantry Staple. I've been buying and eating this Macaroni for years. Always have at least one in the cupboard and at $1 you can't go wrong. It taste just like the name brands, but at a fraction of the cost. It's 100% Australian and has a 4. 5 health rating with only 1 ingredient. It's perfect. All you have to do is boil it with a little salt and within no time you have it made. I usually make mine in a non-stick pot and therefore have no sticking issues. I use it in both hot and cold meals and it holds it shape and allows a little sauce to sneak inside the hole. Sometimes I make a meaty sauce and just pop it on top, other times I mix the pasta through with the sauce and ingredients, I make pasta bakes with it, I allow it to cool and make cold summer salads. The packaging is lovely green with a yummy looking pasta bake on it - totally representative of what you can make with it. They even have the recipe on the back The side of the pack is clear so you can see the product itself and the size if good at 500g - I usually cook the whole lot and if needed will make a second meal of any leftover macaroni, so the fact that it's not resealable isn't an issue for me. What it is lacking however is the redcycle symbol/return to store for the plastic it comes in.

Went way 'Pasta' my expectations!!! I am so impressed by this product. It truly went well above my expectations. Made from 100% Australian durum wheat and with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives it is a clear winner in my pantry! It also cooks alot faster than other 'no name' pastas in 8 minutes rather than 10-12 that I am used to. It held its shape and cooked with a perfect texture. Its a good size serving for our family at 500grs for $1 its very economical. Leftovers heated really well the following day too with the cooked pasta holding its shape and form in my sons school thermos. I did struggle to initially locate the Marconi in store as it was on the very top shelf and there was only one box open on the end of that section I noticed all the other ... MoreWent way 'Pasta' my expectations!!! I did struggle to initially locate the Marconi in store as it was on the very top shelf and there was only one box open on the end of that section I noticed all the other Woolworths pasta had 2 boxes open. At first I didnt think my Woolies actually stocked it as it was hard to find as all the packs are the same size colour and shape with the actual pasta name type being the only point of difference. Maybe a different background colour of the bags for each different type could help. I will definitely buy this again one of the best items Bunch has introduced me and my family too. Thanks so much.
Great price, excellent quality. Product of Australia. this pasta is a regular in our shopping, so to get a sample I was pretty happy. the first thing I noticed when going into store is that pasta is colour/brand coded, this one is a dark green, making it stand out on the shelf. There were several varieties, with the macaroni being on the top shelf (this may be tricky to see if you are short). the price is spot on, especially since it is s product of Australia (something which pleases me greatly). Having used the cheaper Woolworths pasta I moved onto this one because I figured for $1 I couldn’t go wrong. This one was soooo much better and quickly became a regular. The cooking time of 8 minutes is pretty accurate as it was perfect. We have also used this pasta in the ... MoreGreat price, excellent quality. We have also used this pasta in the past for the kids to make macaroni necklaces, which are always a hit in our house. the packing is bright, without being over the top. I like the fact there is s picture on the front of something that you can make and even better the recipe is on the back having a see through section allows the shopper to see exactly what they are getting, something I feel is very important. The 4. 5 health star rating and health table on the front show that this product isn’t hiding anything and the overall setting out of the front is easy on the eye, with words and pictures intermixed. Overall this is a great product, especially for the price. I will continue to buy it.
Five star Macaroni. Woolworths Pasta Macaroni is a small, but versatile tube like shape which can be used in many different dishes like soups, stews, salads, pasta and pasta bakes all deliciously topped with many different toppings. This pasta is made from 100% drum wheat semolina, has no artificial colours, flavours and preservatives, while at the same time is a good source of fibre for the whole family. With cold weather outside my pasta sample came just in time. I found it very easy to use, while I made a beef macaroni stew topped with parmesan cheese, and served with freshly baked bread. The pasta cooked well, it kept it’s shape, and was tasty and delicious just like pasta should be. Mr21 had seconds, and also took a thermos of stew for next days work lunch. Great product. I decided to use this sample to introduce the kids to mac and cheese and used the recipe on the back of the packet (sorry forgot to take a photo of the finished product). The instructions for cooking the pasta were easy to follow and the timeing seemed to be about right. I used less water but that was due to the size of my saucepan. The macaroni cooked nicely and didn't clump together too much. It tasted like any other pasta (without any sauce on it). This is a good product and I will buy it again when I want macaroni for something. Now for the recipe on the back of the packet:This is the part that needs to be revised by Woolies as it does not tell you how to make the white sauce or for those after an easy meal what size jar to purchase thus missing a chance to promote some other products. The recipe also fails to give any meaurements for how much mustard to use, what sized bottle of pasata (another missed opportunity to promote another handy Woolies product) and how much cheese to use in the sauce. If you were just starting out as a cook (say young person just moving out of home) you would find this recipe frustrating and difficult to follow which might put you off from buying this product again. Since the aim of this review is to review the actual product I didn't deduct a star for the poor recipe but I did consider doing so.
Fantastic Product and Value. What a fantastic product, not only in the great taste, texture and quality but it works out so economical at $1 for 500gm. The pack would well and truly feed a very large family or alternatively make several meals out of it. I found the pasta very quick and easy to cook, along with keeping its shape and the indicated cooking time of 8 minutes was spot on. So far I have only used half of it which I made a Mac and Cheese bake and by adding some sliced Mushrooms and Spinach into it it made 4 very large portions. This product is so versatile and would be great as an additional ingredient to Soups and Casseroles. Great to see that it is made from 100% Australian durum wheat and has a 4. 5 Health Star rating. In my Woolworths store it was located on the very top shelf. It could have been better merchandised as initially I couldn’t find but if not for the box that looked empty and had the wording Macaroni on it I would never have found it. After reaching up and feeling around I think I was lucky enough to have grabbed the last pack. I will certainly purchase this again and can highly recommend it. Thank you Woolworths for this great product and giving me the opportunity to sample it.

Meal Suggestion Recipe On Packet: I was very tired when I was cooking dinner last night and thought that I was misreading the recipe that was on the macaroni packet..... but my daughter confirmed that she was confused by it too. There seemed to be a Method for making 'Macaroni & Cheese with cheddar, mozzarella, tomato and basil....... but no ingredient list to make it. The recipe simply stated to 'bring water and white sauce to the boil'.... and then there were further cooking instructions. What water? How much water? What white sauce? Was I supposed to buy a jar or have a recipe to make some? How much White Sauce? There were no 'amounts' or a list for any of the ingredients listed in the recipe!!! We gave up trying to work it out and just made our own flavoured pasta meal. Printing error? Perhaps some information was accidently deletedOverall: Product was quite acceptable for $1. Would buy again occasionally. The recipe on the packet was a BIG FAIL though.
Great quality. I once told a joke about macaroni. It was pretty cheesy. You had me at 100% Australian and family owned company. I made a pasta saladTips:1.
