This product was somewhat disappointing from a company like Yakima. I have owned 3 different Yakima locking bike racks rooftop models and never had any complaint about the design, but the Bedhead has one glaring flaw with respect to security. Anybody that wanted to steel a bike from this rack need only to have a pair of channel locks or vice grips to loosen the nut on the other side of the locking cam. Before I micro-adjusted the cam to my bike forks, I could use the cam handle as a lever to move the shaft to get the nut loose enough to turn by hand. The rack mounted on my Ford truck with bed liner without any problems, but I will not leave my bike unattended on this device for any leng

Bought two based on good reviews and use in my truck! Easy to install and very durable and sturdy. This is my first review ever written because I am so impressed with the product. Want to get one more so I can haul all 3 bikes in truck.

I use this rack to hold my bike all the time. I hit some pretty tough rough roads before reaching certain trails and this rack alone holds my bike in place with no problem. This is a greatly engineered rack and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good rack that wont mess up their truck or have to be permant.

Love the product BUT - it does not properly fit for my Rock Shox fork. I am surprised someone has not said something before me. When the fork is place in the clamp it does not fit flush - it rides the inner tube at a funky angle and places some stress on my brake caliper. To fix it I had to grind down the brace under the skewer on both sides to make the mounting surface wider than the brace. Simple fix but killed the finish on product. Had to repaint and lost the logo as a result - bummer because I like the logo. It works well for my road bike. No complaints there! I do wish they would have an attachment point for me to use my Yakima locking cable to the bedhead (for the frame and rear tire), but that is picky. All in all great product, especially for the rigid fork, just would have loved to see the foresight for an easy fix in design that would not have a negative impact on any application.
Great quality! Works for most of my bikes, but not for my Rox Sox MTB fork. I have left in several rainstorms, no problem.
I love these! They are easy to use and hold the bike steady. They also allowed us to have a lot more useable room in the bed of our truck for other gear. The only thing that you should know is that after about a seven hour drive, we did need to tightened them up a bit, but it wasn't a problem. I had heard about that as an issues. so I knew to check them. It is good advice to pass along. We use our bedheads with a truck bedliner and that does not cause any issues.
This is a great product, I have had several people complement on it and it does the job as needed. My only problem is that at $80 the price is very high. This has turned most of the people who love it away. You may have $15 worth of metal and sell it for 4X that. It would get 5+ stars if the price was lower.
I think this fork mounting rack is great. I love that it comes with a lock system...
My truck is not a full-size pickup. I have a Ford Ranger truck with a bed liner, and this mount does not work. It mounts OK on the truck bed, but width of the bed is too narrow to accommodate the bike mounted sideways in the bed. So unless you are planning to use this mount on a full-size truck, I'd stay away from it. Looks like it would do the job nicely on a full-size truck though.
Sturdy, needs to be re-tightened now and then. Beats drilling holes in the bed of the truck. I will use supplemental locks as the existing ones look easy to defeat.
