I have had my mx6 for 2 years with no issues at all. I have had to take it apart twice to remove some twigs but this was very simple. It runs 8 hours a day in the summer and 4 hours a day in the winter. It does require that the filter is cleaned regular, which you should do anyway, and it climbs the walls as well.If covers the whole pool in an 8 hour run no problems.Highly recommended

First, I have to thank Pool and Spa Warehouse. I bought the product online based on reviews. It turned out that the plumbing for my large pool didnt allow enough suction to drive the MX8. I reported the issue to the seller and after a few emails they very graciously agreed the unit didnt suit my pool and organised a full refund. I am very happy with the seller since it wasnt their fault. Ultimately, if the marketing blurb or past reviewers had mentioned to check the pump pressure at the intake end then I may have thought twice and checked it prior to purchase. In any case, it would have been exactly what my pool needed had it worked, since I could see it was sucking up the debris and dirt without disturbing its surrounds. After much research I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the Zodiac MX6 with leaf catcher and 10 hose despite some negative reviews (it seems there are pros and cons to all options). My little friend has been faithfully removing all sorts of debris (including gum leaves) from my pool (including all the corners) for the last month an a half without missing a beat. I have not found it stuck on anything or with anything blocking it thus far and have caught it creeping up onto the first and second steps (but not the top one) and cruising up and down the walls. I know this was the right purchase for my 40000l pool. If you have a larger pool you may want to consider the AX10. No regrets so far.

To be honest I'm a bit disappointed with this product for the price. It spends most of it's time unsuccessfully trying to climb the walls of the pool but fails. It just gets stuck near the bottom and endlessly spins its tracks. I have watched it a lot and it hasn't made it near the waterline yet, best is about halfway up if it lucks into a diagonal approach. My suction on the pump is very strong so not that, pool also has round curved edges, no 90 degree corners so should be easy to climb. Pool is fine pebblecrete but description of product said it was compatible with pebblecrete, and a wall climber. I'll be interested to see if the rubber on the tracks makes it to the end of the 2 year warranty, my money is they wont.

My pool is pebblecrete and was built around 1997. I'm loving the MX8. It was easy to assemble and set to work. I followed the instruction and manually vacuumed the leaf debris from the pool first. Now after months of no auto cleaner in the pool it's almost sparkling after just a few days. It's been a very long time since any suction cleaner has managed to climb the walls so I've spent some time (err wasted time!) just watching it do its job. I was at first hesitant in buying the product as all I could find were negative reviews, but then found a lot of positive ones. I'm so glad I made the investment. Its so quiet unlike my previous suction cleaners that you could hear working. Now I'm saving up to buy the suction cleaning kit to enhance the cleaning of my pool.
Works well thus far in 40 000l pool thus far (been using it for 3 months). Comes with 6 twist and lock pipes.
