The system utilizes high-performance DC-motors that are controlled using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). This technology enables the dual 92mm fans to be able to run smoothly at extremely low RPM speeds without generating motor or electromagnetic noises. In addition, the fans feature a stator-blade design with a high static pressure rating, specialized for delivering airflow even in applications where air movement is being restricted such as through ductwork. The motor houses dual ball bearings that are rated at 67,000 hours and allow the fan system to be mounted horizontally or vertically.

Very happy with this register booster fan. It has made a significant difference in air temperature in our second floor bedroom when A/C is running. Very happy with purchase but it was rather expensive. I found instructions for use confusing to figure out. I just use it as an extra fan blowing air in room so fan speed is set to 10 all day then lowered to a very quiet 5 or 6 during sleeping hours. Love the bluetooth feature also. So easy to make adjustments from my phone

Worked great. Also, I'm considering another T4 on my top floor return air vent since there is only one and is half size (15") where as on the main floor I have 2 return vents that are each 30 inches wide. The T4 would be mounted backward in the adaptor and be quickly removable to permit changing the settings. I doubt that I will do this since things are fine for now. Also, I cut a 12 x 12 " hole in the return air in the basement very near the heat exchanger to allow free air flow from the cooler (65 degree) furnished basement. I set my AC/ furnace so the fan is running 24 hrs a day and provides cool air to the T4s on the top floor.

Powerful and Quiet

I have two rooms that get a lot of sun. They can easily be 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house in the summer. The ducts leading to the rooms are also smaller in diameter and make two ninety degree turns. These fans make a huge difference in pulling the air out of the vents and give it a little extra oomph to circulate. I wish I would have found these years ago. The bronze color looks really sharp with the flooring in the room. I accidentally ordered the wrong color first and return shipping was easy and free. Customer service was very helpful. Totally worth the price.

The plastic housing is rather deep which could have interference problems with certain register boots, so check your clearances before purchasing. The not-so-good aspects are paltry airflow boost at less than 100% speeds, no directional vanes or closing damper, and a lot of fan noise on any speed over 6 (of ten levels). I get satisfactory flow on the highest speed but the noise is simply too irritating in my low vaulted ceiling location. So I give it a good rating because it's better than any register located booster I've seen. However, I think I'll replace it with AC's excellent inline duct booster which is remote (quiet) and far more powerful.

My living room is always cold in the winter time. I have been looking for a way to boost the heat coming from the registers without having to tear apart the ductwork to install a booster fan which would also require additional electric work to hook it up to. That solution was too expensive. This was the perfect solution.First of all, you must measure the opening that your register fits into. You want to make sure you get the correct size. I selected the 10“ x 4“ which fits perfectly. The kit comes with the register, electrical cord and screws if you need to mount this to a wall. Mine is in the floor so I did not need them. I just placed it in the hole and plugged it in.When you first plug this in, the screen shows the current temperature. Below the temperature screen are three buttons that you use to make your adjustments. The first button toggles through the four screens. They include the current temperature, the setting for air conditioning, the setting for heating and the fan speed. To set this up for heating, you need to set the temperature that you want the fan to kick on to blow the heat into the room. This means the temperature you will set it at will be a higher temperature, in my case, I chose 74. This is because the air coming through the register when the heater kicks on will be warm air and that is when you want the fans to kick on to blow the heat into the room. There are two fans to this unit and they have a speed from 0 to 10 with 10 being the fastest. The faster the fan runs the louder the noise will be. However, I have found that even at the higher speeds (I chose 7), I really can’t hear it in the living room while watching TV.I am thrilled that there has finally been a product that will help increase the warmth in my living room that is actually affordable. I’m thinking of getting another one for the other register in the living room to help beef up the heat.

[Rewarded Review] Just what we needed for our diverted register
28 December 2021

The registers in our sun room, where the grandkids play, use diverters to allow the air to get under the furniture. The airflow was insufficient as the room is at the far end of the house and the room was the coldest in the house. These supplemental fans were perfect. So easy to install, they fit right in the existing opening. The finish is very nice, far better than the standard registers that we had before. It was a shame to cover them with the diverter as they look so nice we wanted to show them off. We installed these on the floor and weren't worried about furniture damaging the controls or LED indicator as we had the diverters installed over them. The LED panel and controls are flush and smooth anyways and unlikely to catch on furniture sliding over them, but care likely is needed to ensure that chair and table legs are not placed directly on top of these controls. The unit works quite well. The motor spins freely in the presence of air moving through the duct, even if the unit is not on. When it is running, it is very quiet, even at high speed. The PWM DC motors which are pretty popular in fans of many types these days are super smooth and ultra-quiet. We literally cannot hear this device at all with the furniture over it and the diverter in place. The improvement in air movement is noticeable and helps keep this room much more temperate. We plugged ours into a nearby outlet and wrapped the adapter cord around the wallboard. The unit comes with one tie strap and a holder, and we would have liked to see a couple more of each to keep the cords tight to the wall all the way to the outlet. The cord is plenty long to reach any outlet in a room that meets code for outlet placement. We considered installing an outlet below the register as there's a crawl space there, but the cord is hidden by furniture so no need to go that far. We're very pleased with these units and definitely recommend them

[Rewarded Review] Love this vent 'heater'
29 December 2021

I have had either a cold bedroom in the winter or a hot bedroom in the summer. I believe it's because when I went under the house I noticed that I have either an 8" or 10" round coming off the main ductwork leading to the bedroom. I believe that the smaller round just wasn't 'pulling' enough air to adequately heat/cool the room, and that the room was almost at the opposite end of where the main rounds exited the furnace. So lots of branching off before warm or cool air got to my bedroom. I always wished there was something I could put in the vent to pull more air into the room. Low and behold, the AC Infinity Airtap T4! I just popped out the old vent and stuck this one in. Low and behold, the AC Infinity Airtap T4! I just popped out the old vent and stuck this one in. Plugged it into the outlet, read the directions (it took a few minutes to really understand what I needed to do, along with the thermostat regulating itself) and within a few minutes I noticed warmer, more forceful air coming out the vent. My master bedroom is no longer 6-8 degrees colder than the rest of the house. It's within a couple of degrees now, and we're in the middle of freezing weather in the PNW. I expect that in the hot summer it will pull more cool air into the room, which will make sleeping a lot more comfortable! Oh, one more thing...I noticed that even when my furnace turns off, the AC Infinity Airtap T4 continues to run and pull warm air into the room until it reaches the low end setting I programmed in for when it will turn off. So, in essence, I'm continuing to pull heat into the room for several minutes post-furnace shutting down! I really like this unit and just might get a couple more for the upstairs main rooms in which I have the same problem (but I hardly go up there so we'll see...). I highly recommend this product! Works as advertised.

[Rewarded Review] Quiet, efficient comfort for rooms that need a little more heat or A/C!

I installed two of these in a corner bedroom: with two exterior walls and two windows, it was always a little colder in that bedroom throughout the winter, and hotter in the summer, compared to the rest of the house. The register booster is easy to program, and it senses when the heat or A/C is on. The booster fans have speed settings 1-10, and when the boosters turn on, the automatic controls bring the speed up very gradually to whatever max speed I set. I have a 70-second video with this review showing the sound levels 1-10 (below).I used a graphing thermometer to plot the difference before and after these register boosters. I have a 70-second video with this review showing the sound levels 1-10 (below).I used a graphing thermometer to plot the difference before and after these register boosters. There is a noticeable improvement, and it also improves the airflow in the room. The instruction manual is well written and explains that the temperatures you program are not room temperatures: they are the air temperatures flowing through your ducts to heat (or cool) your room. So if your house thermostat is set for 70, you might see warm air coming through the ducts at 80 to 90 degrees. That's what triggers these booster fans to come on. I set my heat trigger at 83 degrees, and my cool trigger at 55 degrees, so that the set-backs I make in my home when we are away do not trigger these accidently. Of course, you can turn the triggers off and turn the booster on manually to any speed as well.I compared the 10"x4" booster register to the 12"x4" booster, and they actually use the same sized dual-fan units. Home Depot caries these in other sizes as well, including skinnier versions for homes with narrow vents. There is also a line of in-duct boosters if you have access to your ductwork either in the attic or basement. AC Infinity seems to have thought of everything!Replacing floor vents with these boosters is simple, only needing a little creativity to hide the thin power wires back to an electrical outlet. I was set up and running 2 of these in 15 minutes, plus some additional time to hide wires. This has fixed my cold-corner-bedroom problem and does it efficiently!

[Rewarded Review] Simple but powerful controls - Pulls heat or cold where I need it!

I have been struggling with a way to heat our corner bedroom better. The room was always a few degrees colder than the rest of the house, since it is both on the corner of the home (2 exposed walls), and has 2 large windows. I tried opening the air vents more, while closing down the other vents in our home. I tried a small space heater - but it was loud and used a lot of power. I installed a 12 inch and 10 inch Quiet Register Booster Fan unit, and I do like the controls! It senses when hot air is flowing through the ducts, and gradually ramps up its twin booster fans over 20 seconds, to whatever max speed I set (1-10). See my short video to hear what this sounds like (70 seconds, below). I did monitor the temperature in the middle of the room using a graphing thermometer (see photos) and there is a noticeable improvement! The booster fan noise is not noticeable until fan speeds 8, 9 and 10. Even at those levels, if you need them, the unit is so gradual about creeping up to those speeds, you may not notice it if you are sleeping. The register can be programmed to turn on both at a cold temperature to boost summer A/C, and a hot temperature for winter heat. Note that the temperature on the register's integrated display isn't the room temperature: it's the warm (or cold) air coming out of the register. To keep a room warmed to 70, it's quite possible that air temperature from the heat vent will be 88 degrees. That's why it always feel so nice to put your feet over the heat vent!If there's a downside to this booster, it is the power cord routed to the register. Luckily, our registers are close to outlets, and AC Infinity provides a slim-cord wall plug more than long enough to tuck into the corner molding, under the carpet, or even routed inside the flooring. These register boosters are available in various sizes at Home Depot- I tried both a 10x4 and a 12x4. These two sizes have the same fan units, just different cases. They come skinnier as well, and they also offer boosters to be installed in your ductwork if you have access to that through your basement or attic.I am definitely happy with this solution and so glad to finally even out my corner bedroom's temperature!
