Belkin USB-C Multimedia Adapter Black

I had been searching in vain for a small, humble adapter with VGA, ethernet, and USB-A ports, but *without* pass-through charging. And then I found this little gem, quite literally exactly what I need. All the other docks and adapters from elsewhere either had too much, not enough, or not the right combination of ports—and they were all so expensive it would have made more sense just to buy a new monitor instead.Most importantly, this adapter works. (The Apple multimedia adapter did not play at all nicely with my monitor, and I had to return it.) And the lights from the ethernet port are so bright, they illuminate too much of the room when working at night. For this I used some black tape to cover the lights and part of the clear bit of the ethernet plug that was magnifying the light.All in all, I will still rate this product 5 stars for being exactly what I need and for being fully functional. I can pretend the scratches aren’t there if I never have to see them, and I was able to successfully block the obnoxiously bright lights.

This Belkin adapter came in easy to open packaging and was very easy to set up (just plug in). It comes with a USB, Ethernet, HDMI, and VGA port. All of them work as theyshould be when you plug in the cables individually. Ethernet was perfect and gave me high internet speeds. However, the only problem I have is with the HDMI port.When plugging in multiple cables at a time (USB, Ethernet, and HDMI at the same time) the HDMI lags very badly. This is extremely noticeable when connecting to a monitor.So, I wouldn't recommend this cable if you plan on using the HDMI port along with the other ports at the same time. Every other port works fine, so I would say thisis a decent adapter.

I like that this has ethernet! I use the USB for my wireless mouse/ keyboard, the HDMI for my second monitor, ethernet for faster than wifi speed and use the power passthrough. It is a little bulky (I guess because of the VGA port) which I find kind of odd, cause not sure why you would need a VGA port these days.The plastic seems to be pretty sturdy and think it will last the standard duration- I am pretty rough on these because I travel pretty consistently. I use this adapter at home and when I travel, so I need something I can easily throw into my laptop bag- I think this will do the trick!
