I have used Clinique For Men products for a lot of years -- and always been pleased. I was simply going to re-order the Clinique items I use daily when I saw this product on the Nordstrom website. I was intrigued by the description of it but had to think twice before ordering because I was so comfortable with the Clinique products I had been using for so long. I took the plunge and ordered this Maximum Hydrator - and I am so glad I did. This is a superior product which I use on a daily basis. It has a different consistency and texture than the face cream I previously used. It also has a different feel when applied to the face than the cream - but that's a good thing. This was OK Does it deliver on its name... no it didn't make me feel oily but my skin was shiny. It didn't hydrate without additional serum under it. I don't like that it has added colours - cove me a blue bottle and take out the chemicals next time. It feels like it's where skincare was about 15 years ago. I want hydration without oiliness not just a layer of silicone that locks in whatever I have already used. This added very little to my routine. I was recommended this product after having a bad experience with moisture surge and DDMG but I think this will be my last venture into Clinique moisturisers. This is very light and absorbs instantly. Not sticky or tacky. It 's very refreshing, feels like a thinner aloe vera gel. It's much more like a concentrated serum than a typical moisturizer. Works great for oily skin or those with breakouts. I only wish I had found it sooner.
Bought for my boyfriend who has combination skin who is also prone to blemishes. I bought him this after my Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Water Gel Concentrate 48ml kept mysteriously disappearing. This product has made a huge difference to his skin. Very grateful to Clinique for producing this product so I can keep my Moisture Surge products to myself!
I bought this product several months ago and it has made a huge difference to the overall appearance of my skin. I suffer from dry skin and after a few uses of this product my skin began looking refreshed and feeling smooth. The gel easily absorbs onto the skin and only one pump is required to cover both the face and neck. Although the product is 50ml, it lasts for just over a month if it’s used as recommended every morning and night. I would definitely recommend using this product with a face wash or another cleanser to get a great clean and see better results.

With two options of moisturizers in the regular 3-step program, plus one with an SPF, in addition to the Maximum Hydrator, as well as the 2 In 1 Skin Hydrator + Beard Conditioner, is there REALLY a need to peddle ANOTHER moisturizer to us guys? I'd rather see your research and development/new product efforts put towards reworking the absolutely horrible Anti-Age men's product that has both lackluster results and reviews. Being experts in skincare, I'm confident you understand the importance of vitamin A in skincare -- especially from an anti-aging standpoint. I'd love to see the return of REAL skincare products that WORK from Clinique. One example of this, as I outlined in a previous product review, was the Men's Turnaround Lotion. That was one of your TRUE performers back in the day that I was NEVER without. In fact, whenever I started to run low on a tube of that stuff, I'd start to panic. It de-aged my face, smoothed (with salicylic acid) and made facial hair SOOO smooth for easier shaves, and gave a nice glow to my skin, and it moisturized -- it should have been called "Does-It-All for Men." I miss that product immensely! When you retired it, I no longer continued to purchase Clinique en masse as I had for many years. Again, please stop with these basic "moisturizers." I, for one, would love to see something in the men's line that's a bit more advanced and potent.
I've used so many face moisturizers it's stupid. I've tried Rugged and dapper, Jack Blacks, Brickell, kiehls, and clinques own standard moisturizer and their ultra hydration one. This is my fave by far. I have extremely dry skin on my face so you know what kind a skin type I have. While I don't think the water gel moisturizes any better than the others, I has absolutely ZERO scent. So many others claim to have none but then you rub it on your face and it'll have a slight chemical smell or natural smell. This have none nada zip. I love that. And finally you legit can't tell you put anything on your face just 10 minutes after using it. No shiny face or stickyness to be found. While I think this product a way overpriced, it's my favorite I've found.
