This foundation is so light that it feels just like a tinted moisturizer, and also lasts the entire day (I usually have my makeup on for around twelve hours) without smudging, oxidizing, or caking. It gives such a natural skin-like finish with pretty decent coverage. If I apply a generous pump, it will usually cover up most of my small pimples/dark spots on my cheeks and it doesn't emphasize my pores. I have to go over some spots with a concealer, but it's pretty good for one pump. It's also worth mentioning that this is fragranced. It doesn't bother me because the fragrance is light (you can smell it during the application, but it usually fades really fast) and my skin isn't sensitive, but if you are looking for something non-fragranced, this probably won't be ...Ā MoreThis foundation is so light that it feels just like a tinted moisturizer, and also lasts the entire day (I usually have my makeup on for around twelve hours) without smudging, oxidizing, or caking. I don't know why, but the Sephora foundation-matching feature never works for me.

A couple weeks ago I received my first ever VoxBox from Influenster! I was selected to test and review a free bottle of Dior Backstage Face Body Foundation, compliments of Influenster and Dior, in exchange for my honest opinions of the product. I've been using the foundation for almost 2 weeks now, so I have had a chance to give it a fair test run. Upon opening the package it looked like a typical glass foundation bottle, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it is actually made of soft plastic. I really like it because, combined with the dropper tip on the bottle, this gives me much more control and makes for way less wasted product. It smells a bit like sunscreen (but not nearly as strong), which some people don't seem to care for, but I don't mind it. It smells a bit like sunscreen (but not nearly as strong), which some people don't seem to care for, but I don't mind it. I think it smells clean and fresh. I have very pale skin, so it can be hard to find shades that work for me, but when I do I'm (almost) always the lightest shade available. While the Dior is no exception to the lightest shade rule (I recieved shade 0N), it matches my skin tone perfectly without having to add anything to lighten or thin it out. I love that this is a liquid foundation that is ACTUALLY liquid!! My skin gets very oily, particularly in my T-zone, and a lot of alleged 'liquid' foundations are a lot more creamy and thick in texture, suffocating my skin and causing major breakouts, but this does not. At all. The Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation is a true liquid foundation that feels like I'm wearing nothing at all. My skin can breathe, there is no burning or breakouts from clogged pores, no sweating, and no feeling like my face is being smothered. In the blendablility category this is, by far, the best foundation I have ever used. I use a beauty sponge to apply foundation, and it is the perfect tool for this product. It applies and blends out so easily and it looks amazing! I only have to lightly bounce the sponge on my skin, no pressing or buffing, and it's like the foundation is absorbed or just sinks right in rather than sitting on top of my skin like some foundations I've tried. It's also very long wearing, I have fallen asleep with it on and it was still there the next morning (and I'm a very active sleeper). What I don't like about it is that it is supposed to be buildable, but when I try to build up the coverage it starts to become more and more noticeable that I have makeup on, then it starts to look cakey. I probably won't be using this when I have a lot of redness or dark under eye circles, and I wouldn't really recommend it for anyone with scars or pigmentation issues that require more, or full, coverage. Also, on really hot or humid days finishing powder is generally a must to set this foundation, otherwise it may not set and it can rub off on your clothes, but once it's set it's not going anywhere and I like that part. I usually do a liquid OR powder because, again, I don't like my skin feeling smothered, BUT a very light dusting is sufficient. You could probably use a finishing spray instead, but I've never used finishing spray so I can't say for sure.

I wanted to love this foundation as I usually have pretty good luck with Dior cosmetics. But this just didn't work for me and my skin. I'm on the normal to dry side, and this product really resisted blending into my skin. When I went to add additional cream products on top like bronzer, blush, and concealer, it pulled away from my skin and it was impossible for me to blend any additional product in. I was left with very dry, patchy looking foundation. I thought maybe it was because I was using a sponge and a brush may be better suited, so I tried again this time with a flat top kabuki brush. And it was the same result - dry, cakey, and unwilling to blend. Never one to be deterred, I though maybe adding some beauty oil to the foundation may make it blend in smoother, so I added a drop of squalene oil. It was maybe 10% easier to blend, but still not a smooth, skin-like finish that I can usually achieve with other products. Two stars for the shade range because it was incredibly easy to color match in store. I just wish the formula was easier to work with.

I had originally bought this product because I had an accident and had a huge blue/black bruise on my thigh that I wanted to cover this summer. It is promoted as medium coverage and to camouflage imperfections and waterproof, it sounded perfect. I took it with me on vacay thinking I was covered. Well, I started to put this on and first thing I figured out is my legs are much whiter than my face. I'm light not fair, and usually wear N1 in almost every foundation. This was slightly too dark for my thigh even with light coverage. I'm certainly not even the fairest in the legs either. After applying a couple different way, I realized even with it being slightly too dark, it didn't cover the bruise even in the slightest. It made no noticeable difference. After applying a couple different way, I realized even with it being slightly too dark, it didn't cover the bruise even in the slightest. It made no noticeable difference. What it does help with on the body is those little razor bump or pores in areas near your bikini line or ankles/calves. It does smooth those out and I do think it was generally waterproof. Didn't notice any transfer. I ended up using my concealer on the bruise. On my face, this matches well. I'd say this is not medium but light coverage, which, if I'm moisturized well and use a wet sponge it goes on like a nice wash of color. Even with fingers or a brush, light coverage. If you try to build up it kind of streaks. What it won't do, is cover any acne at all. I tried using a brush and finger to dab it on and it just sinks in like a wash. Doesn't cover really any freckles, melasma, really anything, just evens out your complexion. It does set on its own and doesn't need powder, I do love it for that because that is hard to find. I hate having to use powder, I'm 47. It doesn't fall into smile lines. So, for that I like it and I might buy some once a year for my face in the summer, since it doesn't need setting powder. But as a body makeup to cover a bruise or even if you are trying to cover even a freckle or pimple it didn't work for that at all.
I don't think that the description matches the shades on Dior Backstage. I debated a long time after testing this several times in the store. It looked in the store like 1 Warm matched my complexion on my neck, back of my hand, and inner wrist. However, when I went online, I kept seeing that I was matched to 2 Warm because it was 'light' and not 'fair.' I am usually never 'fair,' and almost always 'light' in the warm category. I also did the matches that Sephora and Dior's website both provide. Both showed that I would match to 2 Warm. Dior's website made my face look really washed out in the image-matching of 1 Warm. I put in Pat McGrath L 7 (my almost exact match), and Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow in 4. Both returned the results 2 Warm. However, I just received the foundation -- in 2 Warm -- against my instinct of seeing 1 Warm on my skin in Sephora -- and it is *way* too dark. Too bad -- I used my $10 points voucher on this, which was a waste, since those are non-refundable. I do not believe Dior got it right with describing 2 Warm as light -- as it is definitely *not* light, and very much *like* a light-medium. The matching algorithms should be a lot more sophisticated for people who often order online.

The price ha worth it considering it will last me a bit longer. With a good hydrating primer (elf mineral primer) and this combination works for my life as a busy sleep deprived mom. At least now I have this as an option. I chose 2N and it was perfect. My skin is neutral Asian skin. And 1.5N might be too light so i went to 2N and it was perfect.Highly recommended

I had sent multiple back to reorder different shades & had no luck, always just a touch too dark or too warm. I got a make up forever concealer sample in one of my orders & a shade that to my naked eye I would assume would be too light ended up being an absolute perfect match, I was stunned. I had seen many tiktoks that suggested that everyone who uses the DIOR backstage face & body love it, so I was able to match it with the shade finder using the colour sample from make up forever & it matched me as one whole shade lighter than the shade I would naturally think would be my match. Part of my body dysmorphia is seeing my skin colour darker than it actually is. As I was applying this foundation when it arrived, my boyfriends jaw hit the floor, his exact words were āitās your skin in a bottleā. I could have cried. It is so light weight & had a beautiful finish. I will never buy any other foundation than this one ever again. This is MY foundation, I finally found something that truly makes me feel beautiful & im starting to see my skin colour & complexion in a positive way! Thank you Dior & Sephora.
Hmm I have mixed feelings about this product. There's some pros and cons:Pros:-gorgeous finish upon application-true to the sweat resistant claim (I wore this several times for 8+ powers and not once did I have to touch up, and I wore it without a primer)-I appreciate the different undertones in each shade number (neutral, cool, warm, olive, etc.)-barely sunk into my smile lines-did not oxidizeCons:-after a few hours of wear, it began to look dry and cakey around my mouth (it's more noticeable up close but it's there)-felt quite dry around my lower cheek, jaw, and upper lip area (this area is a dehyrdated part of my skin and some foundations with intensify the dry, tight feeling) ā it didn't look dry (except around my mouth)-I feel like it faded a little ...Ā MoreHmm I have mixed feelings about this product. If you can make it work for you I would say go for it for sure, especially if you have combo skin. I think for me it might be a pass simply because of the dry, tight feeling on the bottom have of my face and the minimal lasting power
Iām surprised how much I like this foundation. Iām in my early 40ās with aside from the occasional blemish and a few fine lines my skin pretty is good. Dryer in the colder months and more combo in the summer. I can get a bit oily in the t-zone when that humidity kicks in. With summer starting the claims of āwaterproof & sweat proofā caught my eye. Considering I spend most of my days outside and my face sweats like crazy thatās a very bold claim to make. Challenge accepted!I honestly didnāt have high hopes it would work from the get go. Iāve read the reviews. Iāve also learned to take them with a grain of salt. This foundation was one Iām glad I decided to try. I like the squeeze bottle option. Easy to use and control. Color match was spot on for me. After applying my skin care products I applied Armani Luminous Glow primer as a base. I found using a dual fiber foundation brush to stipple it on worked best. I didnāt need to use as much product and got an airbrushed look. Coverage wise donāt expect miracles. Itās a solid light/medium coverage. If you try to build up to full coverage itās only going to look dry and cakey. It left an amazing natural finish on me and truly looked skin like. Even after setting it with powder there was a glow to my skin. I was also pleased to learn It does hold up extremely well in the heat and humidity. Paired with Urban Decays All Nighter spray itās fabulous for a day by the pool or a night out. Itās become one of my top 5 for favorite foundations. I personally found the price to be quite fair for the amount of product in the bottle. Iāve paid more for less with terrible results.
I received a sample of this a few months back; I used it once and put it up. For some reason, I grabbed it again and started reaching for it every day. Iām on my third bottle of Armani Silk Canvas foundation (which I also love) but for summers in Louisiana and Florida, this is a MUST. It stays put and doesnāt slide off of my face from sweat and humidity. I swam in the pool with it the other night and it stayed on, even after my nephew splashed me in the face a few times. I also tend to sweat on my upper lip in heat and it stays put after I wipe the sweat. It goes on great with fingers (it just melts!) and blends out beautifully with a blender to finish. I also mix this with moisturizer and apply to my legs; it stays on with no transfer. I still like my Armani but will use that in the winter when I need that glow. For reference, Iām 54, dry skin with fine lines. With proper care, moisturizing and priming, this foundation does not settle into the lines or get patchy. The only problem I have is getting it in stockā¦2N, 2.5N and 3N sell out quickly!
