It gets even more dewy throught the day however the pros of this finish is that it never gets cakey or makeupy looking,It is very lightweight on the skin and dosen't look heavy. I know the old version had alcohol high on the list of the ingridients which wasn't ideal. The new one as it is marketed is clean beauty. I do feel my skin is more soft after wearing the foundation so it's a big plus. Paired with backstage primer I notice a little less shine but it dosen't control oils whatsoever so I might try to wear this foundation with something more mattyfing. I wish Dior would make a matte version of this because I have combo skin and it's too dewy for me can't imagine somone with very oily skin wear it without looking like a grease ball. I will continue to use it and try it with different techniques to make it last longer.

This foundation is so light that it feels just like a tinted moisturizer, and also lasts the entire day (I usually have my makeup on for around twelve hours) without smudging, oxidizing, or caking. It gives such a natural skin-like finish with pretty decent coverage. If I apply a generous pump, it will usually cover up most of my small pimples/dark spots on my cheeks and it doesn't emphasize my pores. I have to go over some spots with a concealer, but it's pretty good for one pump. It's also worth mentioning that this is fragranced. It doesn't bother me because the fragrance is light (you can smell it during the application, but it usually fades really fast) and my skin isn't sensitive, but if you are looking for something non-fragranced, this probably won't be ... MoreThis foundation is so light that it feels just like a tinted moisturizer, and also lasts the entire day (I usually have my makeup on for around twelve hours) without smudging, oxidizing, or caking. I don't know why, but the Sephora foundation-matching feature never works for me.

This was my first time trying the foundation I struggled to pick a shade online, but the shade cool rosy is the perfect shade for me! I am so shocked excited that it matches so perfectly, especially since it was a roll of a dice decision basically, being that it was an online purchase. In the bottle the pink undertones seem really strong, but once you get to applying it, it does really tone down. This claims to be a medium coverage foundation which is extremely accurate. Regardless of not being full, it covers all imperfections in my case evens out the skin tone beautifully! It doesn’t cling to areas of my face that are prone to dryness, doesn’t separate through out wear. It makes your complexion look silky smooth in conjunction with the primer I noticed that before I set with powder like I always do, that you don’t even need to! I always do, but if you’re someone who likes to avoid powder this foundation seems transfer proof for sure! I’ve never tried a foundation that had such a good dry down like this one. It’s also SO light weight airy feeling on the face! Not cakey feeling whatsoever! I highly recommend you give it a shot

Backstage. All the time.

Amongst all my foundations I reach for this the most. Applied with a sponge this creates the most realistic and natural looking second skin. It’s definitely more of sheer medium coverage that has a great consistency out of the bottle. As a male client I was in the market for a more undetectable foundation and this definitely hits the mark every time. It makes me feel good knowing my skin looks like mine alone and I think anyone can appreciate that. I use the color 4 neutral, and can honestly say it’s definitely a true neutral which is exactly what I wanted. The foundation application is seamless, it gives you a lot of playing time and doesn’t dry down fast; perfect coverage all the time. Best foundation I have used in years

This was recommended to me and I ignored the suggestion as I figured there is no way it could help my sensitive, acne prone, dehydrated skin, so I tried a series of others, watched some you tube videos on this foundation and decided to give it a shot, since I've tried literally everything else out there. It's a dream, I have splotchy skin, texture, all of it. One layer with a morphe foundation brush over a teeny dab of Huda Glowish primer and another layer on red or broken out bits and it is not fully covered but it is smooth, even, looks like my skin but better. I follow up with bits of concealer and a setting powder with coverage, lasts all day, does not cake, streak, break up, just lasts all day and makes me look so much more youthful in the face that I have been ... MoreThis was recommended to me and I ignored the suggestion as I figured there is no way it could help my sensitive, acne prone, dehydrated skin, so I tried a series of others, watched some you tube videos on this foundation and decided to give it a shot, since I've tried literally everything else out there. I use 1.5N and its a perfect match for macnc20 (SFP), Fenty long wear 140. Please never stop making this! I would not use this on my body, its too pricey though good value for 50ml bottle.

Computer match does not work on Sephora or Dior
10 March 2023

I don't think that the description matches the shades on Dior Backstage. I debated a long time after testing this several times in the store. It looked in the store like 1 Warm matched my complexion on my neck, back of my hand, and inner wrist. However, when I went online, I kept seeing that I was matched to 2 Warm because it was 'light' and not 'fair.' I am usually never 'fair,' and almost always 'light' in the warm category. I also did the matches that Sephora and Dior's website both provide. Both showed that I would match to 2 Warm. Dior's website made my face look really washed out in the image-matching of 1 Warm. I put in Pat McGrath L 7 (my almost exact match), and Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow in 4. Both returned the results 2 Warm. However, I just received the foundation -- in 2 Warm -- against my instinct of seeing 1 Warm on my skin in Sephora -- and it is *way* too dark. Too bad -- I used my $10 points voucher on this, which was a waste, since those are non-refundable. I do not believe Dior got it right with describing 2 Warm as light -- as it is definitely *not* light, and very much *like* a light-medium. The matching algorithms should be a lot more sophisticated for people who often order online.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR MATURE SKIN

I am of an Asian decent, 47 y.o. My skin is combination but on winter months it leans towards dry flaky on some areas. I also uses Retinol and other exfoliants. I have tried drugstore products but ai dont find any of them lasted the way i decently wanted during the day. Except for one which is the Chanel vitalumiere. It is not too obvious but it blurrs out at least 80% of imperfection with 2 coats without feeling cakey and not looking unnatural. It is by far for me is one of the best. The price ha worth it considering it will last me a bit longer. With a good hydrating primer (elf mineral primer) and this combination works for my life as a busy sleep deprived mom. At least now I have this as an option. I chose 2N and it was perfect. My skin is neutral Asian skin. And 1.5N might be too light so i went to 2N and it was perfect.Highly recommended

Mixed feelings

Hmm I have mixed feelings about this product. There's some pros and cons:Pros:-gorgeous finish upon application-true to the sweat resistant claim (I wore this several times for 8+ powers and not once did I have to touch up, and I wore it without a primer)-I appreciate the different undertones in each shade number (neutral, cool, warm, olive, etc.)-barely sunk into my smile lines-did not oxidizeCons:-after a few hours of wear, it began to look dry and cakey around my mouth (it's more noticeable up close but it's there)-felt quite dry around my lower cheek, jaw, and upper lip area (this area is a dehyrdated part of my skin and some foundations with intensify the dry, tight feeling) – it didn't look dry (except around my mouth)-I feel like it faded a little ... MoreHmm I have mixed feelings about this product. If you can make it work for you I would say go for it for sure, especially if you have combo skin. I think for me it might be a pass simply because of the dry, tight feeling on the bottom have of my face and the minimal lasting power

My holy grail foundation
21 December 2022

I suffer from rosacea and have tried every foundation you can think of. They all seemed to either irritate my skin or not provide enough coverage. This foundation is simply amazing. It goes on so easily and covers any redness and uneven texture. This is my second time of purchasing this foundation, first was 2.5 n when I had a tan and this one for winter months. It lasts all day without even needing a touch up. In fact the first time wearing it I wore it for 15 hours and it honestly looked like I’d just applied it. There was no irritation and cleaned off easily with my Roche La Possay cleanser and toner. I realise it might not suit everyone but for me it’s just perfect and I don’t think the price is high for such a good high end foundation.

Well. I’m very surprised by this foundation.
