Dior Rouge Dior Forever Liquid Lipstick - 637 Forever Sublime

I received this product complimentary of Influenster for testing purposes. Unlike many other liquid lipsticks that are very drying, the Rouge Dior Forever Liquid in the shade Forever Dior 999 starts off with a more mousse-y (vs runny) consistency so along with the doe foot applicator with a pointy end, the formula and the the applicator lend to a more controlled and precise application which I very much like. This is one of those liquid lipsticks that requires a couple of layers (I would discourage rubbing your lips together to distribute the product as this would seriously lead to patchiness) to get full coverage and allowing it to dry down completely will help increase longevity. I find that the wear time will be dependent on what you eat and how you eat (e.g. using utensils vs. biting into a sandwich) as no liquid lip will be full proof against very greasy foods. The one thing I like about this liquid lip is the more forgiving fade...instead of flaking off like other liquid lippies, this one is more gradual. The shade I received (Forever Dior 999) is a red with a tinge of orange and given my complexion, the orange definitely comes through. It's a summer shade for me and for those who like bolder colors and statement lips, you'll definitely like this one. Personally, I'm planning on ordering 959 Forever Bold as I gravitate towards more blue-based reds. I have no complaints with the shade I received and in fact got complimented by Sephora employees when I went to the store wearing Forever Dior (had to wear it out for testing purposes). All in all, I would recommend it but I also understand that the price is a little steep (though very much in line with other lux brands like YSL). For those looking for a drugstore alternative, IMO Nyx Liquid Suede is a close dupe.

I was very excited to see how this would wear and how it looked happy to say it met all my expectations ! Not only was it creamy upon application which I loved, it stayed on really well didn’t crack throughout the day didn’t feather looked exceptionally beautiful and stayed intact just like when you first applied it as well as throughout the whole day and absolutely doesn’t feel dry like other liquid lipsticks however I suggest you make sure your lips are hydrated before application if you have really dry lips any liquid lipstick will make it feel dry so make sure your lips are hydrated and you won’t have a problem ! I will be repurchasing and checking out some more complimentary shades like this one so I can own a variety of my new favorite liquid lipstick. Makes me feel sexy I got “ 100 Forever Nude” shade. It does everything it says definitely transfer proof too.

Comfortable matte and beautiful color...

FYI: Unbiased and detailed review from someone who hates matte lipstick.Full disclosure, I received this Dior lipstick in shade 999 for testing purposes from Influenster.I applied according to the directions for this product, but will admit that I could've been more patient with the dry down.I want to start off by saying that this matte lipstick is incredibly comfortable... I've never liked matte lipsticks as my lips are very dry and they usually just exacerbate the problem. So, the initial lipstick coming off I'll attribute to user error.The lipstick is completely dry and yet my lips don't FEEL dry. It truly feels like I just have bare lips. As far as longevity, I don't see this lasting 12 hours though. *I wanted to try putting chapstick on - I was interested in if it would cause the lasting power to diminish. The oils in the chapstick broke it down, but it still looks great. No weird flakes - just smooth color like you'd expect from a satin lipstick.If you're patient with applying and aren't eating/drinking I'd recommend for at least 4 hour wear.

Decent lightweight matte lipstick

When you first apply it it can feel a little heavy on you lips but once it fully dries it is extremely light and not at all noticeable. I am assume this has to do with the applicator it self but it can apply a little splotchy. This might vary on your natural lip color to start but it was also something only noticeable on me when I looked super close it wasn't something easily spotted. Their recommendation was to apply it in a single sweep but you might need a little touch up to have an even tone. Overall that issue probably will depend on your lip size and natural color but it still did feel like the applicator was not holding enough product. It somewhat feels like I don't have the best control with it and because it is a liquid lipstick it can have some edge of lip issues. Nothing major but you might need a few touch ups after applying and before dries.When it comes to drying the single sweep application felt like it took closer to 10 minutes to fully dry and not the 5 it states. This is also something that could vary on your environment, it currently is very hot and humid here so things drying may take longer than a drier environment. But something to keep in mind and to plan when exactly to put it on so it actually dries before you need to leave. But I will say that the longevity of the wear will depend on what you are doing. After about 20 minutes you are unlikely to see any glass stains from drinking like a normal person. But anything with pressure will cause smudging and mild transfer depending on how long you have been wearing it.Overall a solid matte long lasting lipstick. The length of wear and "transfer proof" claims will vary depending on what you are doing while wearing it.

The moment I received the Dior Rouge Forever Liquid Lipstick in 100 Forever nude from Influenster and Dior to try for free, I loved everything about it. From the gorgeous frosted vial with black and silver accents, to the deep robust matte nude color, everything about this liquid lipstick screamed luxury. Although not everything turned out flawless to begin with, I found there to be a slight learning curve when using this lipstick.The main trick to this liquid lipstick is keeping your lips looking their best by making sure they are exfoliated and moisturized. No matter how long I waited for the lipstick to dry, from five to twenty minutes, it always ended up rubbing off a bit. Even when I tried using primers, or setting spray, it always rubbed off. I will say that it lasted longer than most long wear lipsticks, up to 7 hours, however the claim that this liquid lipstick is transfer-proof with a wear up to 12 hours is false, at least for me. While the color never looked quite as good as when I first put it on, it did last despite eating and drinking throughout the day. One other minor note of interest is as this lipstick dries it tends to feel a bit sticky, however as it dries the tackiness seems to subside for the most part.

Once you get it on your lips it takes a little while to dry down, but it does not make my sensitive lips peel at all, and is extremely comfortable to wear. I think Dior is one of the very companies that makes beautiful nudey colors for pigmented lips, and this color is on the darker end of nude, but it is office appropriate and brings a warmth and vitality to my skin tone. I also love that I can throw this tube in my bag and it does not get dinged up or messed up in any way. I like matte lip finishes over satin and glossy ones so, when I saw that I could select samples of Dior liquid lipsticks with my purchase, it was a no-brainer.I am 44 and have aging lips (and all the rest) so I need a formula that is not excessively drying and that doesn’t accentuate lip lines.PROS:- Lightweight consistency: it feels so light on the lips! Best part is I didn’t notice any fragrance, I know that’s a downside for a lot of lux brands. I highly recommend Dior Rouge Dior Forever Liquid Lipstick, and might be going back for more colors! other than reapplication, beautiful lip product

I'm a little bit of a snob when it comes to lip products...not in terms of branding or drug store vs designer, but in terms of lasting power, pigment, application, and general feel. This particular color is incredibly flattering. I've repurchased this formula in many colors and absolutely love it. The pigment is perfection and it applies smoothly. I pair each of these (I have 3 or 4) with the Sephora lip liner in a matching shade and love that combination. It will last hours and hours UNTIL you have to eat a meal....then the color, mostly on the inner area of your lip will fade. It has lasted me throughout shifts, drinking wine/coffee, and eating apps when out to dinner but after a while of eating is when I notice the fading.
