* I received this product for free through influenster* To start the color is bright vibrant matte red. When you first apply it it can feel a little heavy on you lips but once it fully dries it is extremely light and not at all noticeable. I am assume this has to do with the applicator it self but it can apply a little splotchy. This might vary on your natural lip color to start but it was also something only noticeable on me when I looked super close it wasn't something easily spotted. Their recommendation was to apply it in a single sweep but you might need a little touch up to have an even tone. Overall that issue probably will depend on your lip size and natural color but it still did feel like the applicator was not holding enough product. The applicator is ... Overall that issue probably will depend on your lip size and natural color but it still did feel like the applicator was not holding enough product. The applicator is something I am sort of hit or miss on part of me likes it and thinks it works well, but another part of me thinks it can use some minor tweaking. It somewhat feels like I don't have the best control with it and because it is a liquid lipstick it can have some edge of lip issues. Nothing major but you might need a few touch ups after applying and before dries. When it comes to drying the single sweep application felt like it took closer to 10 minutes to fully dry and not the 5 it states. This is also something that could vary on your environment, it currently is very hot and humid here so things drying may take longer than a drier environment. But something to keep in mind and to plan when exactly to put it on so it actually dries before you need to leave. But I will say that the longevity of the wear will depend on what you are doing. After about 20 minutes you are unlikely to see any glass stains from drinking like a normal person. But anything with pressure will cause smudging and mild transfer depending on how long you have been wearing it. Such as a quick peck on the cheek probably wont transfer but a make out session expect smudging and transfer. Which can be bad if you need to wipe your mouth after eating because of how hard it is to remove and clean up this make up once it has dried to a point. For removing this lipstick you definitely need a good makeup remover. This stuff is very hard to completely get off. Water will not work, I always try water first as a hold up against long wear make up to see how a potentially wetter environment (rain, drinking from glasses a lot, sweating) will affect it. Water will mainly just smear it around your face when you try to scrub with it. Overall a solid matte long lasting lipstick. The length of wear and "transfer proof" claims will vary depending on what you are doing while wearing it. But it is a great light weight feeling lipstick that once it does enter a dried state you do not notice it on.

The moment I received the Dior Rouge Forever Liquid Lipstick in 100 Forever nude I loved everything about it. From the gorgeous frosted vial with black and silver accents with the traditional CD etched on the top, to the deep robust matte nude color, everything about this liquid lipstick screamed luxury. Although not everything turned out flawless to begin with, I found there to be a slight learning curve when using this lipstick. The main trick to this liquid lipstick is keeping your lips looking their best by making sure they are exfoliated and moisturized. The main trick to this liquid lipstick is keeping your lips looking their best by making sure they are exfoliated and moisturized. Unfortunately, I didn’t follow my own directions the first time around and ended up with what my boyfriend so lovingly called “grandma lips”. To my horror when I looked in the mirror my lips not only looked dried out with enhanced lines and wrinkles, but they were incredibly flakey with patches of color rubbed off in the middle. Luckily, this problem was quickly corrected once I exfoliated and moisturized my lips. When it comes to the applicator, Dior nailed it. Shaped like a teardrop, paying extra attention to the tip of the applicator, it provides a smooth, controlled and precise application to the cupid’s bow. In addition to the tip, the applicator is slightly concave in the middle, allowing for just the right amount of lipstick to be applied. My main issue with this lipstick is the fact that it’s not transfer-proof. No matter how long I waited for the lipstick to dry, from five to twenty minutes, it always ended up rubbing off a bit. Even when I tried using primers, or setting spray, it always rubbed off at some point. I will say that it lasted longer than most long wear lipsticks, up to 7 hours, however the claim that this liquid lipstick is transfer-proof with a wear up to 12 hours is false, at least for me. While the color never looked quite as good as when I first put it on, it did last despite eating and drinking throughout the day. One other minor note of interest is as this lipstick dries it tends to feel a bit sticky, however as it dries the tackiness seems to subside for the most part. Overall, at $38 dollars for 0.20 oz this lipstick is a rather expensive luxury, but if you’re not strapped for cash, this truly is a decadent treat for your lips.

Once dry, it's not budging. I find that the wear time will be dependent on what you eat and how you eat (e.g. using utensils vs. biting into a sandwich) as no liquid lip will be full proof against very greasy foods. The one thing I like about this liquid lip is the more forgiving fade...instead of flaking off like other liquid lippies, this one is more gradual. The shade I received (Forever Dior 999) is a red with a tinge of orange and given my complexion, the orange definitely comes through. It's a summer shade for me and for those who like bolder colors 🙋🏽♀️ and statement lips, you'll definitely like this one. Personally, I'm planning on ordering 959 Forever Bold as I gravitate towards more blue-based reds. I have no complaints with the shade I received and in fact got complimented by Sephora employees when I went to the store wearing Forever Dior (had to wear it out for testing purposes 😉). All in all, I would recommend it but I also understand that the price is a little steep (though very much in line with other lux brands like YSL). For those looking for a drugstore alternative, IMO Nyx Liquid Suede is a close dupe.

I was the kind of person that believed a true red lip "didn't look right" on me. I would feel clowny, like it accentuated my worst features, and like an imposter. After being given a gift card for my birthday, I figured "hey, I'm in my 30s now.. why am I so afraid to go red?" - and ... it was a journey. I almost gave up when I found the Dior Forever shade. I feel way more comfortable with a liquid lip, so that was a plus from the get go. the formula - heaven. I truly forget I have it on. It fades in the most flattering way throughout a full day of wear (as long as you aren't using lard as lip balm or something - greasy foods are the kryptonite of liquid lipstick). But most importantly - it looks soooo flattering. Not just on me, but on just about every friend I've ... MoreI was the kind of person that believed a true red lip "didn't look right" on me. I clean toilets for a living, and I still feel like this was a great buy. As someone who doesn't always have makeup confidence - this was a win.
I was very excited to see how this would wear and how it looked happy to say it met all my expectations ! Not only was it creamy upon application which I loved, it stayed on really well didn’t crack throughout the day didn’t feather looked exceptionally beautiful and stayed intact just like when you first applied it as well as throughout the whole day and absolutely doesn’t feel dry like other liquid lipsticks however I suggest you make sure your lips are hydrated before application if you have really dry lips any liquid lipstick will make it feel dry but except for this one! This is one of the liquid lipsticks you can wear everyday to work and expect to not have to bother with constant reapplication all day long or you can wear it out on the town very versatile ... What I really love about this Dior Liquid lipstick is how it looks not too much color yet just enough for a sexy lip and how it dries down to a beautiful matte finish yet doesn’t feel too drying on the lips that is exactly what I look for in liquid lipsticks hence why you want to own every shade in this one. Such a wonderful formula best of the best liquid lipsticks with the best of best formula do I recommend it ? Yes absolutely ! I recommend to get it in every single color shade they have because you will love lovvvee this product. I fell in love with it the very first day I wore it; I didn’t have to worry about reapplication and for the way it looked was what made me give it 5 stars. I will be repurchasing and checking out some more complimentary shades like this one so I can own a variety of my new favorite liquid lipstick. Makes me feel sexy especially in the 100 Forever Nude shade. It does everything it says definitely transfer proof too.

Thankfully I didn't have that issue - it was a welcomed surprise! My first time applying I had trouble waiting the whole 5 minutes for this to dry down.* Also, some areas didn't apply as opaque in one swipe. In the future I'll make sure that the doe foot applicator is sufficiently coated prior to my initial swipe.During that 5 minutes I had transfer to my teeth unless I kept my mouth opened awkwardly... This definitely isn't something you could just swipe on and run out the door.*When I smiled, I had little tiny dots of dried lipstick that came off around my canines and front teeth.I took a sip of water and had lipstick come off in a few spots as well, however I probably should've waited a little longer for the product to fully dry.I waited 10 minutes after my sip of water (oops) and rubbed my lips aggressively with the pad of my index finger - it didn't flake, roll off, transfer, or smudge. So, the initial lipstick coming off I'll attribute to user error. The lipstick is completely dry and yet my lips don't FEEL dry. It truly feels like I just have bare lips. As far as longevity, I don't see this lasting 12 hours though. *I wanted to try putting chapstick on - I was interested in if it would cause the lasting power to diminish. The oils in the chapstick broke it down, but it still looks great. No weird flakes - just smooth color like you'd expect from a satin lipstick. If you're patient with applying and aren't eating/drinking I'd recommend for at least 4 hour wear.

What a glorious little tube of perfection. For me, it isn't about price but about the comfort and the wear which is why I usually wear Maybelline Matte Ink but now for only five times the price, I've found something better! Listen, babe, I'm incredibly beautiful naturally and every lipstick color looks good on me, so I hope this can bring you even a little bit of luxury when you find your perfect shade. Oh, and there is very little transfer but still some, my housekeeper rolled her eyes when I handed her the espresso cup this morning, but hey, what's chicer than a little red lip print on white porcelain? If you can afford it, like I can, buy them all, in multiple for all your Birkins and a set for the vanity in each home. These lipsticks look as lovely on me in ... I like matte lip finishes over satin and glossy ones so, when I saw that I could select samples of Dior liquid lipsticks with my purchase, it was a no-brainer.I am 44 and have aging lips (and all the rest) so I need a formula that is not excessively drying and that doesn’t accentuate lip lines.PROS:- Lightweight consistency: it feels so light on the lips! It applies very smoothly, it is thin and easy to work with.- Not drying: my lips haven’t felt dry after a full day of wearing this liquid lipstick. I had hydrated my lips properly before though and you should always do if you plan on using liquid lipsticks.- Very confortable and non sticky.- It has lasted in place the entire day.- It didn’t transfer to my breakfast mugs (and I used three….) I didn’t use a mask so I cannot tell if it transfers there or not.- I don’t have the full size but it looks so beautiful and elegant. Pure Dior.- There is no perfume in these lippies.CONS:- It is not very pigmented. Probably because of the lightweight consistency, I could see through the lipstick once applied and needed to go over a second time in some areas. I can forgive it because of how comfortable it feels.I am sharing my honest and authentic opinion as a Sephora Beauty Insider Community Ambassador.
I'm a little bit of a snob when it comes to lip products...not in terms of branding or drug store vs designer, but in terms of lasting power, pigment, application, and general feel. This particular color is incredibly flattering. I've repurchased this formula in many colors and absolutely love it. The pigment is perfection and it applies smoothly. I pair each of these (I have 3 or 4) with the Sephora lip liner in a matching shade and love that combination. It will last hours and hours UNTIL you have to eat a meal....then the color, mostly on the inner area of your lip will fade. It has lasted me throughout shifts, drinking wine/coffee, and eating apps when out to dinner but after a while of eating is when I notice the fading. The only reason I rated this 4/5 is not ... It has lasted me throughout shifts, drinking wine/coffee, and eating apps when out to dinner but after a while of eating is when I notice the fading. The only reason I rated this 4/5 is not because it doesn't last "all day" (no lip product will actually do that and that's fine) but because reapplying is a pain. Once you reapply, it will make your entire lip look rather chalky which is a shame because it's so beautiful. I've remedied this with first wiping off any excess and then applying a combo of the lipstick with aquaphor. Other than that slight annoyance, I do and will continue to repurchase this product
