I grew up as a teen in the 1990's and of course Dr. Martins were all the rage. Whether you were into alternative rock, hip hop, heavy metal, punk rock, EDM, or whatever, Dr. Martens were there. I never got my pair back then, and wore army surplus instead. Over the years, I had some second hand Docs, and one pair of work boots (most comfortable work boots I ever owned in ten years as a warehouseman). Finally, I got my pair of 1460, traditional Docs and have not stopped wearing them since. Great Comfort, classic style, and a cool factor all their own. Timeless and forever, I plan to buy additional pairs to enjoy in the years to come.

I bought a pair of black `Made in England` like gloves from day one.Encouraged, the following week I bought original Red Cherry. Day one, was great for the first two hours or so, then a little uncomfortable at the sole, left for three days, put back on and then comfortable fit. Perfect. Both now feel great and look great. Delighted with both purchases.

I have had my boots for just under two years and have worn them no more than twenty times; however, the sole has split. I’m really disappointed because this is an iconic product and they were not cheap. I bought my first pair in the 1980s, and they lasted for years and fitted well. I will never buy Dr Martens again and suggest you do your research before buying.

The green is perfect, I get complements every time I wear these boots.I did order them a half size bigger than I usually wear so I could wear thick socks in the cold winter months. But they’re okay even with thinner socks. It took about a week before the leather softened and stated molding to my foot.I’m a hairstylist and stand on hard floors all day, these give me support and keep my feet warm. Love them, they complement any outfit, jeans, dresses, skirts, etc.
7 years ago I found this exact pair, brand new, at a thrift store. Someone couldn’t bear the work to break them in, and I came across a huge come up. I wore them every where, wore them everyday at work to match my green apron… and found my sock wet a couple of weeks ago. That’s when I realize it was time to let them go, and to break in a new pair. I love them so much, and don’t remember being this easy to break in 7 years ago!
The UK 6's are a little too big, but the 5's are too small. I like the colour. The leather is almost plastic looking as opposed to looking like leather. The air wair soles are super comfy. I want purple, cherry red, maybe turquoise, maybe bubblegum, and for sure green next. For being women's I do not find them narrower , however these are my first pair I have tried on and/or owned so I don't have anything to compare them too. I just understand the women's sizing is apparently narrower, which to me these are not. The instep is snug putting them on right at the base of the laces. I am hoping that won't become an issue when I wear them. Shipping time was pretty good, and they were packaged well. Have purchased and will purchase here again.
There is no comparison to Dr Martens boots. I have resisted buying boots I grew up with, given the price (I just wish younger people could experience these, as I did, at a more affordable price to them), but ultimately, I know from experience, the price, over the years of wear, comfort, and enjoyment is always worth the investment.I'm not sure about the review page prompting the reviewer to mention keywords to encourage future potential buyers, so will avoid mentioning the remaining two keywords (I naturally wrote about the 'investment' as they are) I am promoted to write, even though I agree. I am not a robot, but love your boots. Style, comfort and durability every time. No comparison to Dr Martens.
Love the colour first of all. People kept saying I had to break them in slowly but they have been ok, I do wear hiking boots a lot though. Not easy to get on and would love a zip at the side but keeping to the original design I suppose. Can we have more colours please, would love metallic purple. Love them. PS l am 68 years old - just enjoy colour in your life.
Not like the 30 year old DM's I already have. These have very very stiff leather, they are going to take some time to mould to my feet. That said, they are very comfortable - I just have to tie the laces a bit looser to avoid chaffing on the shins and ankles. I'm sure with more wear they will become a little more softer on my ankles. They kind of remind me of Brookes bicycle saddles - you have to wear them in for 6 months until they adapt to your arse - or in DM's case feet :)
My first pair of DM's in almost 30 years.....yes I'm an middle aged bloke. Why did I wait so long to get another pair I'll never know. I used to wear the black 1460's for school in the 80's, so glad I've come back to them, gone for cherry red ones. Think a blue pair will be purchased soon then maybe green one's. The fit is perfect, and breaking in hasn't been problem either, I bought the balm , heel pads and some yellow laces as well. Not been disappointed in the slightest, only in myself for not buying sooner... The selection available online is amazing......this could become an expensive habit, but at least my feet are happy to be back in DM's.
